This was our first visit to Island Links resort and we were very pleased with everything! I honestly cannot understand how anyone would not love this resort. It was very clean, well maintained and a great location. We stayed in building 3 unit 210. It was larger than any 3 bedroom we have stayed in. The unit was spotless and the furnishings were very new. The kitchen/dining/living room area was huge. The first bedroom was on the left when you entered and had 2 beds which seemed to be queens but could have possibly been fulls. The first bathroom was outside that bedroom and could be used without entering the bedroom which we really liked. The master bedroom was a king with very nice bathroom with jetted tub and walk in shower. There was another room separted by sliding glass doors off the master which had a pull out sleeper/sofa. There was also a sleeper sofa in the living room. The pool was very clean and the kids loved the splash pad. I could go on and on. We are already looking forward to returning to this resort.

We are Hilton Grand Vacation members and we selected this property through the RCI exchange because it was close to the Marriott Barony Beach where other members of our group were staying. We reserved a 3 bedroom unit. We were traveling with another couple and a toddler. The other couple arrived at noon and were told they would get a call when the room was ready but were told it may not be before the 4PM check in. We arrived around 2:45. The front desk called the housekeeper (a third party service) to check on status and got no answer. They advised they would check back again. At 4:15 we went to the desk and inquired. They called again and got no answer. They started to say it it may not be available until 4 and we stopped them and told them it was already after 4. They then sent someone to the unit. The person came back and said it was ready. We asked if they knew how long it had been ready and they had no answer. I went to unpack the car and my husband spoke to the manager. The manager offered him a $100 credit voucher for area merchants but then was never given the voucher. The unit was spacious and clean. The dishwasher and stove were outdated and starting to rust. We tried to use the oven but it took forever to bake anything. I am guessing the thermometer on it is no longer accurate. We were in a ground floor unit with a patio. The patio is so close to the water that runs through the property we refused to use it as we were worried about the toddlers safety. Not to mention the “Don’t feed the alligator signs” didn’t help make it feel any safer. We stayed there from Tuesday to Tuesday. On Friday, bags of linens were dumped on the ground in front of two units. Those bags stayed there until we checked out. Someone dropped a bag of garbage on the side wall that broke open and left it there. This happened on Sunday and was still there when we checked out on Tuesday. Garbage cans in the pool area were overflowing for days. We checked out Tuesday morning and the garbage outside the door of the registration area was full. Clearly not emptied in a while. On a positive note, the pool is great for toddlers and we really enjoyed it. However, that is not enough to get us to ever consider coming back.

The good-Location The bad-EVERYTHING If you are used to REAL 4-5 Star Resorts, you will be disappointed. Our level of satisfaction is based on our level of exposure and exoeriences. THE MANAGEMENT IS AWFUL! Not one concern was every addressed in the entire stay and thereafter. After losing my Dad, I was taking my Mom to see a change of scenery while we handle business associated with losing a loved one. After driving 8 1/2 hours, I was given a key to a villa at a building which management KNEW that the elevator was broken. I was allowed to drive to, unpacked the car, only to find a big sign stating that the elevator was inoperable. My mother is 81 years old and could not climb the 16 STEEP STAIRS that don’t appear on the resort’s photos. I drove back to the office and waited, waited, waited to find another comparable unit. I requested to even be placed at a sister location or some other resort. This request was DENIED. Instead, I was placed on the ground floor of an old, smelly unit that wreaked of spoiled meat. The first thing that greeted me was the dirty carpet. I immediately went back to the office to file a complaint. The bedding smelled of wet dogs, and the unit had roaches which reported to the Concierge. By the time we unpacked and got settled in the unit, it was after 9:30 PM. The whole first day was RUINED!!! I had to use linen, comforters, pillows, and wax melt warmers that I had purchased.from the local Walmart. The unit’s least poignant odor bedroom was only 7 feet from parked cars. We heard every radio and conversation of guests as they left the premises and arrived back. Finally falling to sleep at around 5:00 AM, we were awaken around 7:00 AM by upstairs neighbors bouncing a basketball. THIS WAS ALSO REPORTED WITH NO RETURNED CALL BY MANAGEMENT. The unit that was requested by me and promised prior to booking a reservation BY THE RESORT was a golf course, water or courtyard view. What I ended up with was a view of a street with 2 trees since MANAGEMENT NEVER CONTACTED ME SBOUT MOVING INTO THE UNIT I BOOKED AFTER THE ELEVATOR WAS REPAIRED. I filed a complaint with Booking.com on Day 2 and on Day 3, someone who identified themselves as the GM said that they working on providing me with compensation and they were going to call me back in a few hours. THAT WAS 7 DAYS AGO. We only got 2-3 nights sleep each night we were there and on the last day I requested a late check out. I was only given until 12:00 PM which only allowed time for me to get my 81 year old mother packed up, repack the SUV, and do resort required duties such as washing the dishes and taking out the trash. MANAGEMENT NEVER PICKED UP THE PHONE TO DISCUSS ISSUES WITH MY STAY. Booking.com has been contacting the resort in reference to my complaints since 7/24, it is now 8/1 AND MANAGEMENT HAS NOT RESPONDED. If you have low expectations, 2-3 hours of sleep doesn’t bother you, and you like the smell of spoiled meat, pet dander and wet dog hair smell with roach infestation, and the convenience of an elevator is not necessary, by all means Island Links is the resort for you. However, if you prefer a beautiful, well maintained, clean resort with EXCELLENT MANAGEMENT…go to Marriott Surfwatch.

I have been going to HHI for 25+ years (Palmera owner too), and we always have a great time (great or bad weather)! This time it was disappointing with the villa we were in. Bathrooms were not cleaned well after the last guests. The master bathroom shower had black mold in the ceiling along with a deterioration of the ceiling around the light in the shower. I went to the office about the issue, and was told to send an email for review. I sent a couple of emails over the next 2 days regarding the issue. The last one highlighting the fact, that water was coming out of the light above the shower. I am not an electrician, but this doesn't seem to be safe. We were fortunate to have have an other shower to use, but that one had a moldy shower curtain. Once Island Links got back to us and offered a option to move units, there was only 1 day left.. Pool and amenities were nice, staff was friendly (not very helpful with an issue though).

The resort was family friendly. We enjoyed the pool and the daily activities for the kids. The resort was clean with spacious rooms. Staff were friendly! The Wi-Fi service was horrendous. We had limited service the entire week. I had to drive out to a local restaurant to connect to Wi-Fi to take care of some work tasks.

This resort is awesome. The room was large and well laid out. Liked that both bathrooms had a double sink. The pool was nice and it was close to the bike trail you can go all over Hilton Head on. It's really easy to rent bikes. There is a shuttle to the beach which leaves regularly. The 2 story buildings don't have elevators. So, keep that in mind. It is a timeshare, so, keep in mind they'll pressure you to do a presentation. We'll definitely be going back!!

I left my MP3 player in Villa 115 Islands Links Hilton Head Resorts upon checkout. Discovered I had left it plugged up on end table in living room 2 days later, called front desk, stated housekeeping had not turned it in. Front desk gave me manager number of housekeeping and I called her, said she would contact person who cleaned villa after I checked out and discuss with her . To date, 3 days later I have not heard from anyone!! There is no question on my part that I left my MP3 and player plugged up in the villa! The housekeeping cleaning lady must have seen and removed it, this is very unacceptable behavior for a worker!! Management should not be tolerant of such behavior serving their customers!!! Also, the housekeeping manager has ignored me!!! I even offered a reward because the music on the MP3 meant a lot to me, had it over 35 years!! Oh well, that’s Life!!

Spring Break 2023 at Island Links was fantastic. Check-in was seamless and the rooms use key codes which are much more convenient than carrying a card that may or may not work after being near cell phones. The condo was very clean, well equipped with pretty much everything you'll need for the week if cooking/eating in the room. I did purchase a round pizza pan and left it in the room for future use as there wasn't one of those. After my boys broke their pizza in two the first night to cook on square pans, we figured we'd just get a pan for the last two pizzas they made. The resort offers a shuttle to a nearby beach which was very convenient, especially before the bikes we rented were delivered. I hate going on time share presentations, but thankfully we were able to get away with just going to the Quest Travel Club presentation and were in/out in less than an hour and that provided us with $100 mastercard and the ability to purchase vouchers for many nearby activities at a highly discounted rate. We took advantage of the bike rental discount immediately $30/bike/week. There were 4 of us so we just rented 2 bikes, which my teens utilized the majority of the time. That worked out great as my wife and I didn't need them most of the time anyway. I'd definitely recommend attending the pool party and Bingo events when staying. We didn't have any luck on our side during Bingo, but the prizes they gave away were very good and worth the time trying to win them. We did however hit the jackpot during the pool party raffle. We won a 1.5 hour private boat charter for up to 6 people and two sunset cruise vouchers as well. The regular retail value of those prizes are nearly $400 combined, and had we purchased them at discounted rates it would've still cost us $250. Not too shabby for simply attending a pool party at the resort. While at the resort we also utilized the outdoor grills as well. All in all, it was a fantastic stay. Friendly staff, clean & comfortable accommodations, great pools, etc. No negatives to mention.

Very spacious 2 bedroom Villa. Our first time in Hilton Head and great location about a mile walk or bike ride to beach. They have a shuttle but we didn't use. Great resort, great pools and bike trails everywhere. Lots of activities to do if you prefer to stay on resort.
