Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We had a trip planned in Florida for this week, but due to the Hurricane (Nicole) the condo we had booked was closed due to damage. Given we had the week blocked off, we contacted RCI and they found us this place in Hilton Head.
Our unit was a three bedroom with a full kitchen and two baths. It was very well appointed and really quite nice. Our back looked out over a nice wooded area and in terms of outside noise was really quiet.
The unit has a washer/dryer which was very helpful and the building also has an elevator to help with the luggage or in case someone wasn't feeling up to doing stairs.
Beds were really comfortable and our master BR was adjoining with the 3rd BR (which wasn't used) so it was very easy to sleep given their were no windows.
Hilton Head is great, and even though we were there in an off week (it was mid 50's so not a lot of golfing or tennis or beach events) it was a lot of fun. We ran, walked, shopped and visited nearby Savannah and Tybee Island. HH has a lot of nice restaurants which we also enjoyed.
Items of note to finish this off. When we checked in, the front desk politely asked us to take a visit with Palmera to hear about investment options for their vacation properties. I didn't book this trip under the assumption I'd have to sit through anything but after some subtle pressure to "get it over with early" we did it the next day. We were given a cash equivalent stipend, and it wasn't that big a time waster but I didn't really appreciate this aspect.
The unit had by my count four TV's, but they were all old and not "smart", so we had no streaming options at all. Even the front desk was surprised but apparently some of the buildings haven't been brought into the current decade. We did have cable, but most of the channels were SD, which I didn't even know existed.
They did provide wi-fi, but it was completely unsecured and not safe. How they can have a place this nice and not have a router or VPN in each unit with a secure password is beyond me. They need to fix this.
We were on the 2nd floor (originally we were on the first, but that unit smelled of bleach so badly we couldn't stay...not sure what that was about) of a 3 story building. The guests above us seemed to have track meets every morning and evening making quite a bit of noise. If I came back here I'd definitely stay on the 3rd floor since hearing this every day wasn't optimal. Fortunately we weren't there to stay indoors, so it was only an issue 2-3 hours a day.
It was a nice week, and someday we will probably come back to HH but when it is a bit warmer so we can take advantage of the outdoors more.

Spring Break 2023 at Island Links was fantastic. Check-in was seamless and the rooms use key codes which are much more convenient than carrying a card that may or may not work after being near cell phones. The condo was very clean, well equipped with pretty much everything you'll need for the week if cooking/eating in the room. I did purchase a round pizza pan and left it in the room for future use as there wasn't one of those. After my boys broke their pizza in two the first night to cook on square pans, we figured we'd just get a pan for the last two pizzas they made.
The resort offers a shuttle to a nearby beach which was very convenient, especially before the bikes we rented were delivered. I hate going on time share presentations, but thankfully we were able to get away with just going to the Quest Travel Club presentation and were in/out in less than an hour and that provided us with $100 mastercard and the ability to purchase vouchers for many nearby activities at a highly discounted rate. We took advantage of the bike rental discount immediately $30/bike/week. There were 4 of us so we just rented 2 bikes, which my teens utilized the majority of the time. That worked out great as my wife and I didn't need them most of the time anyway.
I'd definitely recommend attending the pool party and Bingo events when staying. We didn't have any luck on our side during Bingo, but the prizes they gave away were very good and worth the time trying to win them. We did however hit the jackpot during the pool party raffle. We won a 1.5 hour private boat charter for up to 6 people and two sunset cruise vouchers as well. The regular retail value of those prizes are nearly $400 combined, and had we purchased them at discounted rates it would've still cost us $250. Not too shabby for simply attending a pool party at the resort.
While at the resort we also utilized the outdoor grills as well.
All in all, it was a fantastic stay. Friendly staff, clean & comfortable accommodations, great pools, etc. No negatives to mention.

This was our first visit to Island Links resort and we were very pleased with everything! I honestly cannot understand how anyone would not love this resort. It was very clean, well maintained and a great location. We stayed in building 3 unit 210. It was larger than any 3 bedroom we have stayed in. The unit was spotless and the furnishings were very new. The kitchen/dining/living room area was huge. The first bedroom was on the left when you entered and had 2 beds which seemed to be queens but could have possibly been fulls. The first bathroom was outside that bedroom and could be used without entering the bedroom which we really liked. The master bedroom was a king with very nice bathroom with jetted tub and walk in shower. There was another room separted by sliding glass doors off the master which had a pull out sleeper/sofa. There was also a sleeper sofa in the living room. The pool was very clean and the kids loved the splash pad. I could go on and on. We are already looking forward to returning to this resort.

This place needs a serious update and cleaning. The furniture upholstery is frayed in places. I was charged the full resort fee and yet the hot tub and heated pool were closed with no notification from staff when checking in. The large burner on the stove didn't work at all. There was grease on the soffit above the microwave probably from the vent but never cleaned. Not sure when they changed the policy, but in the past you could get an additional box of clothes detergent from the desk. So when I asked for one I was told rather rudely that I had to go buy some at the store. Most of the appliances are antiques, especially the stove. Inside can't be cleaned much any more and the burners date back to the 80s. I'm surprised that they are not avocado color. This place isn't what it used to be. Time to move on from this place.

I have to be honest, I was not impressed with this “resort”. Turns out whatever fee you though you paid for through your booking site….isn’t the total price even though it states you will not be charged additional fees. The front desk associates aren’t clear on what the fee is for and a more senior associate stated “ well yes…we collect it but well it’s only a one time fee and it’s for WiFi and television”. I showed them the receipt that shows the resort fee was included in my price and they then changed their verbiage to “well that’s a maintenance fee”. Their advertising states that WiFi and tv is included but they do not honor it. Beware when booking!
My other pet peeve was the cleanliness of the rooms themselves. The kitchen floor was sticky and slippery upon entering and the stove smelled of fish. My husband and I quarantined our four children to the couch for twenty minutes while we vacuumed the carpet, cleaned the table (it was crusty) and light switches (they were filthy). My biggest issue was the fan blades. Do not stay here if you have allergies. The fan blades are RATTAN (woven plastic) and have a million books and crannies. The ceilings are high and the blades look as if they have NEVER been cleaned. I wish I had a photo but I was utterly disgusted by the entire experience and only stayed because my children were so excited and we were too late to cancel as we’d already traveled to the resort.
The “bar” area was only open briefly during our stay and the choice of eateries are slim pickings. Any decent food was about 8 miles down and super crowded. All in all I would probably not stay here again. I chose it because it seemed decent when I looked at the reviews and it was large enough for my family of six.
Good things:
There were ample towels for all of us. *Please note if you are traveling by air and trying to avoid taking shampoos and lotions, this resort does not supply any of that. You will need to bring those with you or acquire them upon arrival. * They provided pool towels, dishwashing liquid and powder as well as trash bags during our stay.
My children were also happy with the pools that were offered. A small heated pool, a regular pool and a hot tub. None of the pools are deeper than five feet.

One of the best facilities I've visited!! The condos are spacious and well maintained and apportioned. The staff was courteous and helpful. We had a family reunion here, So I booked several suites. Not one of my family members complained about the check in process or their condos. Well sized kitchens and spacious dining and living areas. Perfect for hosting large families like mine. The 3 bedrooms had one downside. There are only two bathrooms in the condo and the last bedroom shares a door that locks only from the side of the master suite. So, unless you are using this room as a nursery or for very small children, the guests in that suite may not be as comfortable as the guests in the other suites. The downside to the units that house the 2 bedrooms don't have elevators. If you have elderly who reserve those units, I recommend request first level condos to avoid the stairs. The clubhouse facilities were upscale, yet homey. The heated pool was still available for use even in December. Free Pickle ball courts, ample exercise facility, scheduled events. There was plenty to do. The resort itself is easily accessible yet secluded; So you felt secure and non-exposed, yet not isolated from the rest of the island. Like The title indicates, the only reason I would consider another facility on my next visit is that I came to Hilton Head Island and could not see the sun rise and set on the ocean from my room. But that being the only drawback, I enthusiastically recommend this facility and my family and I look forward to vacationing here again.

Overall, this is a very nice resort. The pools are nice but definitely bring your own floats & toys for the kids because there isn't much for them to do but swim or wade. We did the craft one day but the activity center is a very small room with only two tables. There is no playground or anything like that for the kids so keep that in mind. Swimming is about the only activity for them.
When we arrived, our unit wasn't ready and they didn't call us until 4:20 telling us it was available. We went to our unit and the key code wouldn't work. We called the office and they gave us a new one that also didn't work. We went through three codes before they called maintenance. He couldn't get in either so the head maintenance guy came to unlock it with a key, only to find that the unit had not been cleaned. Food and trash were all over the condo. They sent us to another unit and it was occupied. After sitting outside with our luggage for 45 minutes in the 95 degree heat with three kids, we finally got into a new unit. This one was on the second floor of a three story building where our original one was on the top of a two story building. We could hear the upstairs occupants walking around at night but it was terrible. The only people who apologized for the inconvenience of having to move to different units were the maintenance people. The office staff never once called to apologize for the inconvenience.
In general, the resort is nice. The units are well maintained with a lot of space.

Booked the resort just for a quick weekend stay to explore Georgia and South Carolina. We had a two bedroom lower level unit. The unit was nice and plenty of room but no attention to detail on cleanliness. We believe this room had not been used in a long time. The room had left over cups in certain cabinets, items from the counters were on the floor and the room just smelled stale, like there no exchange of air for a while. It seemed there was not too many other guests by the number of cars at the other buildings. We did use the hot tub but unfortunately there was a large family at the pool that played a DJ style speaker that was very loud and inconsiderate of other guests. This did put a damper on the night of wanting to relax in the hot tub. This resort's location is good if you want to be near all the stores and restaurants on that side of the island.

I just returned from a week from a week at this outstanding resort. The accommodations the cleanliness the friendliness were impeccable Our stay was in a 3 bedroom Unit and therefore and there was plenty of room broom plenty of accommodations do you have accommodations for everyone including T v's it intends bathrooms towels down to the knitty gritty. I cannot express the joy I received in staying here. The entire week was rainy except for 1 day 1 day I could not spend time at the pool or go to the beach but but I found alternatives to go shopping shopping or just stay In the condo. I had. I had no setbacks or disappointments. All appliances and lights worked well down to having enough hot water to accommodate 3 couples using showers in conjunction with a washer, dryer and a dishwasher within a very short time of operation with each other.
The unit was very clean, very quiet, very easy to access (3rd floor with elevator) and very beautiful pool, fitness center and even a shuttle to the beach throughout the day The privacy and solitude from our balcony only allowed singing birds an abundance of trees and foliage .. The entrance to the resort was private, winding along landscaped surroundings, enhancing the beauty and complimenting the frame of this beautiful resort. Staff were professional, yet friendly and so accommodating to any and all our needs . This resort is a true representation of the class of HHI!

We had a beautifully maintained 3 bedroom condo through RCI. Furnishings were not only well kept, but were also comfortable, which doesn’t often happen in these types of Condos.
We had a problem with the freezer and it was repaired within the hour.
The resort was in a good location and easy to navigate. If you hope to rent bikes for the week, be sure to do so before your arrival so they are waiting for you. There are no bikes available through the resort.
We had time to kill on a rainy day, so did the off site ‘one hour presentation’, where they try to get you to buy into the Palmera time shares and Quest Travel system. We sat through it and then enjoyed using the $150 Hilton Head money at various restaurants and our one day bike rental.
Concierge service at the resort was spotty - the correct information that you received depended on who was sitting there. The staff move between resorts and didn’t always give us correct information.
