Pleasant little place recently spruced up. Features a bar (Tue-Sat) & a restaurant (Wed-Sat.) Breakfast available (though not included) is real, not just a sad steam table.
Came here though to praise….drumroll…the towels. Bath sheets are giant & super fluffy. Bad day? Just take a shower then immerse yourself in these giant absorbent cuddles of cloth.
Truly first class.

We have stayed at this property many times. When we arrived a little after noon to check in, we were told our room was available but there would be an "early check in fee of $20" or we could come back at 2:30. We declined the "offer" and came back at 2:30. We have never had this experience before and were quite put off by it. Later during our stay, we overheard another guest trying to check in early with a different associate and was told he could check in early. A "fee" wasn't mentioned. Beware.

This beautiful southern charm welcomed us to an extended stay that did not disappoint. From a great location, unforgettable meals and exceptional accommodating staff, this hotel has everything to offer. We were welcomed on a late night/early morning arrival by entering into a beautiful lobby filled with plants and a unique history shared by the lovely soul working at the check in counter. Every morning we are given an energetic welcome from Natasha, along with a pleasant acknowledgment every time we enter the lobby. The cooked to order breakfast is delightful and the dinners served at the Fox & House are beyond delicious. Dinners are met by an upbeat environment with an abundant assortment of drinks to choose from. You can sit and relax or enjoy a game of darts while you wait for your food to be served. Though the quick service only allows enough time for one game. Our dogs were offered little treat bags that were almost as precious as the wall of 4-legged friends that have stayed. We have traveled a lot as a family in all parts of the country and this hotel is by far one of the most pleasant stays we have had. If you’re looking for a beautiful getaway or a place to relax while you settle in to living in a new area, this is the place to stay.

I would have given this hotel a higher rating except for a few things. 1st the good. They have an excellent location that we used as our center and going to different towns. Walkable to restaurants and some shops. Their lobby is very nice with a lounge that also has food though we only had a drink and didn’t eat there. The Chophouse is no longer there. They use that space as a breakfast venue. Breakfast is not included, but was moderately priced, and was very good with excellent service. Our room was quite large with nice bed and bedding.
There were negatives which influenced my rating. We arrived at about 11:30 am on a Thursday. Did not expect to get into our room, but wanted to ask a few questions. The desk clerk was named “Ashley”. From the first moment she appeared to have an attitude. Absolutely no friendliness or personality. She did tell us that it would cost another $20 if we checked in early … which told me a room was ready, but it would cost us. This initial encounter made us very uneasy, but everyone else during our stay were very nice. The other negative was the bathroom. It looked like the vanity was newer, but the toilet, or at least the seat needs to be replaced. There was dust/dirt in corners and along the baseboards. The shower is weird with half glass, and low water pressure, but okay. Appears the hallways were recently painted, but the elevator carpet, etc was dirty. Windows in the rooms are small, but there’s nothing to be done about that.

I have stayed at this Inn several times. I think this time was, by far, worth mentioning because it is after they had been closed due to the Corona Virus. The hotel was spotless, my room was clean and bright and the staff bent over backwards to make sure I had everything I needed. Specifically, Tom Jackson, director of food and beverage, had breakfast ready in about 10 minutes. My breakfast was delicious, filling and cooked to perfection. My server, Jay, was kind, efficient and extremely attentive. I checked in very late on Mother’s Day and Pete, at the front desk, kept checking with me to make sure I had everything I needed for the evening. Carolyn, head of housekeeping, did a great job with my room and asked every day if I needed anything to make sure I was comfortable. It was a wonderful stay! I can’t wait to come back soon.

Passing through from GA mtns to SC coast....and avoiding "just another place" on the highway, we made a perfect call. The complimentary breakfast alone was worth every penny, not to mention the attention to cleanliness and details of the property. I am so glad we went against our normal family "routine" (ie.they do not have a pool), but passing through, it was the PERFECT location for a light dinner, a spacious and clean updated room, and an amazing complimentary breakfast in a beautiful, unique, "old school" classic setting!

We drove 200+ miles each way to have what we expected to be a romantic night away from our summer home in Myrtle Beach. The main reason for Greenwood was a writeup we'd seen about 'Inn on the Square' in a South Carolina magazine. The trip was fun...the hotel was amazing. The interior was well decorated and full of art. The rooms were large, quiet, very nicely decorated. Sheik and modern. We dined there that evening to steaks, creamed potatoes, and roasted asparagus accompanied with Red wine and live music. PERFECT. The next morning for everyone's stay included a custom prepared hot breakfast to order, compliments of the hotel. We enjoyed Greenwood, but the hotel...what an experience.

Very friendly staff and a quiet, at home feel. The lobby is decorated beautifully. The hotel is nice and quiet and as a young woman, I felt comfortable all around the hotel and the grounds. They are dog friendly, so it was nice seeing all the cute dogs around. The food is excellent in the restaurant. I got the pimento cheese burger and my boyfriend got the grilled chicken sandwich. We literally couldn't stop eating. It was better than any restaurant in town. Ask for Lizzie to be your waitress, she's really attentive and sweet. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the television was huge. The downside is the tub is extremely slippery and handlebars should be installed for safety. The door jambs throughout the hotel need to be wiped clean as well. The coffee in the main lobby was good.

My husband and I visited Greenwood to purchase a home. We booked our room here because it was pet friendly and looked really unique. It did not disappoint! Checking in was quick and easy due to the young man working the front desk (I did not get his name but it was the evening of 10/14) which was greatly appreciated as we were very tired. The food in the Fox and Hound was very good offering great service. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The next morning Natasha greeted us from the front desk and made our day! She gave our dog a bag of treats and suggested we partake in the FREE breakfast in the dining room for hotel guests. OK. So we thought waffle machine, yogurt bar, etc. NOPE! We were treated to a full service breakfast - a menu with approximately 10 different items out of which we could pick 4. Everything was delicious. The only complaint we would have is we ordered sausage gravy and biscuits and the biscuits were quite hard. Honestly, that is the only thing negative we can say about this place. We will be back.

All of the rooms are pet friendly as far as I know, however the rooms are cleaned very well after each visitor. I'm not sure if allergies are specifically addressed though. It would be a good idea to ask the front desk before reserving a room.
Hello, we are a pet friendly hotel. There is a one time fee of $50 for the pet during your stay. We do not have a weight limit, although you dog must be up to date on all required shots. There is water and grain free treats for the pets 24/7 at the Front Desk.
Yes we do have HGTV and a lot more channels to view.
Thanks for inquiring.
