My son’s 40th birthday he took us to the Westin Pointset for a staycation honoring his birthday. i can say he had it the worse with the hotel staff coming in and out of his room and ours. I am an 80yo man so my son helps get us around when he is in town. my room ac was acting up and my son called down they Said they fixed it but we were out but it still would not cool so then my son request a fan at that time two guys came up and brought me a heater that looks nothing like a fan. My wife is coming off of cancer and gets hot flashes so anything was helpful as towed to the hotel. Upon check-in was very delightful the hotel did not look as grand as it used to years ago but they were very accommodating due to the circumstances of Covid and gave us a series of complementary drinks and celebrating my son’s birthday. The gentleman was very courteous in the beginning but with my sons air conditioning went out housekeeping had to come in the gym and was very apologetic and said that management would be in contact to resolve these issues as they were Limited staff and they did not offer to move either one of us Upon check out the young lady was extremely rude to my son offering very little of nothing as a compensation for the long drawn out disastrous beginning and middle of our stay. And quite frankly ruin my lunch the day of check out due to their behavior. My son requested at that time the general manager contact him and neglected to do so my son had to follow up with him at that time he was beyond disrespectful and rude to the point i wanted to say something. They are the ones that were at fault and didn’t seem to even care to apologize. The general manager was not professional north courteous of the situation. I wasn’t sure that our rooms would be clean and unoccupied days before our stay With as many people coming in and out of that room that threw that out the window the fact the rooms weren’t clean properly they are conditioning’s weren’t serviced and when brought to the hotels attention the statement of it’s humid here sir this is how it is. I said I’m a member of the country club here I’ve never heard of such. the greenville country club not far away. I shook my head and was gonna let my son handle it I’ll be very Careful and make sure even the coffee maker had someone else’s coffee that’s out there or they have been cleaning. check your room make sure if there’s a problem that handled early on because they will not do anything to make things right. Years ago if this happened in their hotel they would’ve been horrified and management would have taken action to successfully make sure that I stay went better. they dropped the ball and have continuously dropped the ball To the point they will offer zero compensation for their actions. my son was stuck with the entire bill with all the issues and problems they did not offer to give me nor my son both a couple Mary night or even waived any fees it was very shocking and disappointing.…
Filled 2 complaints with Marriott, Amex and the hotel, The GM was beyond rude I sent in pictures of the dirty room hairs and the non working AC, the hotel did not offer to move me or my family, I paid for 2 room 3 nights each. I first contacted a guy at the front desk and he said he was so sorry he offered me 5k point and said he would request Management to contact me as many issues happened this stay. they sent up house keeping, AC repair all in the middle of covid. They will not make any compensation and will not discount for there issue that occurred all I wanted a clean room and safe room with COVID beware the hotel staff is beyond rude and will not protect also my handicapped parents there AC was having issue they sent up a heater to an 80yo man and had 2 guys come into his room and also were not covered to protect my 80 yo family beware this hotel use to be great it was a 4 star hotel it is not that and there playing off old AAA ratings that are not current. I will be contacting the health department as this was not safe with covid the nasty letters and phone calls from the GM was beyond bad......…
Downtown Greenville is a wonderful place to visit. The old hotel has been re-built from top to bottom. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and clean, although floor in the bathroom is really nice.
Great customer service clean rooms and great hospitality also the breakfast I ordered from room sevice in the morning was great plus they have a nice bar In the lobby what more can you ask for I will definitely be staying again
