We have been coming here for years but for the last two years have been disappointed in the condo that we’ve gotten. The owner has taken no pride in their condo. The website does say that all rooms have a TV but that is no good without a cable box. The shelf in refrigerator door is broken. Dishwasher only works after several attempts to slam the door shut. The carpets, rugs, window treatments, and couches were visibly dirty. The baseboards were dirty. The master toilet leaked. The second bathroom had a hole in the ceiling. The resort does not have a lot of control of the unit and supposedly offers this one for a lower price. When asked to make updates, the owner threatens to go to another rental agency. I say good riddance. Will never stay in this condo again.
This was our 2nd time staying at Waters edge. This time we stayed January 1 2020 through March 18th. We were suppose to stay until April 1st but decided to come back home to Michigan early because of the Coronavirus. This year we were in unit 302. For the most part it was very nice with updated bedrooms, bathrooms, flooring and countertops. They also had a new stove and newer washer and dryer. Refrigerator and dishwasher were older but worked. Our main complaint was the sliding glass doors to balcony needed to be replaced, it was very cloudy especially the left side so no view from inside. We would have stayed again if not for the cloudy doors. We appreciated the friendliness and co-operation of the girls in the office. They were always friendly and willing to help. I would especially like to recognize Mike from Four Aces who is one on the nicest guys I have met. He is always busy making sure everything is clean and taken care of but always has a smile and and is willing to help with anything you need or get you to someone who can. He is definitely an asset. We definitely look forward to returning next winter when this craziness is over hopefully.…
We've stayed at Waters Edge a few times. The condos that we have chosen on the lower floors have been excellent. Once we had an issue with the floor being dirty and I asked for some sort of compensation. After persistence I did receive a credit. We like the full kitchen and washer/dryer. The hotel itself has received some renovations of the past couple years. The outside pool area is nice. The inside area older but nice. We love the quiet location and the view. Each interior room is different. View photos prior to booking.
I had a condo booked through owner which was top shelf. Condo was sold and Waters Edge was supposed to honor agreement. Then a new contract was emailed to me. After review I decided to cancel. That was 12/19/19.I`m waiting for return of deposit as requested. I was promised it would be take care of 3 weeks ago. As of yet I haven`t received return of deposit. Numerous calls and emails I have sent are apparently being ignored.I took the office manager at her word but it`s apparent it is not worth much. management is not worth 1 star. If I receive my hard earned dollars back I will revise my review.
We stayed in unit 1509 and my sister and brother in-law stayed in 1504 for the entire month of Dec. 2019. Andrew Cardinale is the owner of both units. Both are very well stocked and nicely decorated with many of his wife's original painting. We would highly recommend renting his units. He is also very responsive and was quick to take care of any concerns. One thing to remember about the beach in winter, that is when the condo projects as well as some owners do a lot of the upkeep and remodeling to the units. Floors were being refinished while we were there and it was very noisy during the day. To be fair, the work hours were 8-4:30 and were adhered to. Andrew did let us know in advance that this work was going on, on the lower floors but it was still noisy
