We stayed in room 3, just off the kitchen, in the main building for a couple nights. It has an eclectic, European B+B feel to it. There is a small common area comprised of the front desk room ( w couch) ,dining room and kitchen area. They have a wonderful continental breakfast with fresh fruits, pastries, bagels, toast and other breads, grits and a keurig with a bevy of choices. Perfect!!! The location is perfect. Three blocks ( ten minute max ) from the beach. Tons of restaurants and shops right outside the door. Less than ideal: Parking/ We got lucky and got a spot directly in front and didn’t move for two day. With no plans to go anywhere it was perfect but if you are planning any vehicle excursions it could be an issue. There is a pay lot directly across the street. $20-30 a day(?) Our bed could have been better. It sloped with the head being a couple inches lower than the foot of the bed. We slept backwards . This could be better. Awesome: They have a dog , Wrigley, that visits with one of the front desk ladies. What a sweet, lovable boy🤩🤩🤩 My wife and I both loved him!!! Overall, we will definitely stay here in the future.…
We would definitely come back to Beachside. Very unique place with great indoor and outdoor spaces. Very thoughtful accommodations. Beachside is walking distance to just about everything. Very friendly and accommodating staff!
We spend a few days in the Costa Rican bungalow and it was perfect. The location was close to everything but still far enough away it felt private. We spent most of our time relaxing and reading on the spacious porch on the futon couch , meeting the house dog Ridley, who was so cute and friendly, if only our pooch was interested in other dogs. The bungalow even has a gate to ensure your pooch stays in. We could not have asked for anything more, breakfast was great, hospitality was great and the bungalow had everything we needed down to bug spray and citronella candles. There was reserved parking right outside the bungalow. I would recommend this and plan to visit again!
We spent four nights over NYE. The location is great. The cottage was beautiful. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. We stayed in the Surf Shack which is in the back of the property and looks out at the water - pics attached.
Such a cute place to stay at the beach. Breakfast was explained as continental. But it was ABOVE and BEYOND. It's was more like an elevated continental breakfast. I read other reviews and the area is NOT bad. Street parking is convenient. It was very safe. The beach was less than a five minute walk. I have nothing bad to say about Beachside. The young lady at the front desk, check on us to make sure we were coming and made sure we would get there by check in time. We still could check-in after a certain time but a different scenario if she was gone for the day. Beach towels available, toiletries, water, microwave, refrigerator and in the common area a full size kitchen. So if your on a budget and like to cook a meal you can. Every section had public and private areas. Everything was clean and tidy. We had a great stay. Minus Mother Nature and rain. We will be going back. …
I normally don't write reviews but felt compelled to do so after spending 5 days at this lovely and eclectic little compound of adorable rooms & cottages. Property is well kept, clean & maintained. It's proximity to everything Folly Beach, plus it's proximity to my daughter's house right down the road. I will be staying again on my next trip down!
We stayed in the Queen Anne room for one night and man was I amazed! This room is beautiful with it's three walls of windows! The Beachside Inn Wooden Castle itself was so cute and had a huge beautiful kitchen where the breakfast delivered in the morning was placed. The kitchen was even stocked with juice boxes. The Wooden Castle is right next to the beach restaurant strip and super walkable to the pier and bars. The host was so sweet&accomodating. We talked about how I wish I had stayed longer and will definitely be back.
This place is so quirky and fun - we absolutely loved our stay here! It’s super clean and has some really nice common areas to sit among the palm trees. The included breakfast is really great and there are lots of options. The staff was also so friendly and welcoming and cuddles from the resident puppy were a huge bonus :)
We spent 3 days in Charleston and then 1 day at Folly Beach . Wonderful experience . Laura was an excellent host Great personality and very helpful on what to do and where to eat !!! The room was very nice with a strange layout of the toilet and shower lol . Excellent breakfast -almost everything you would like . Very close to Center St. when we visit again check us in Laura!!!
Loved our too short stay. Cozy, quirky, cool atmosphere. Very homey rooms with shared common areas like a full kitchen, living and dining room. Instructions and information were great. Staff were even better; friendly, helpful and fun!
