Business associates booked us here. Otherwise, we would have missed this 41 room boutique hotel. Everything about it is unique, and we enjoyed our stay. Rate includes breakfast delivered to your room, in-room coffee, lobby wine/coffee/tea service for guests. There is a very small but adequate gym and dedicated free parking. Jamal, the desk clerk, was Mr. Hospitality, and the lobby was chill. Beds were comfy. Each room has its own temperature controls. I suggest opting for rooms on the second floor. If another reason brings us to Columbia, I will book here. The only thing that was a disappointment were the crappy Made in China mini toiletries. Recommended.

This is our 3rd time staying at Hotel Trundle with our 2 daughters and it just gets better each time! I contacted the hotel prior to our stay with a few requests and everything was taken care of right away. They got back to me immediately and nothing was a problem. The training of the staff here is phenomenal, they truly make you feel like they are excited to have you stay there. The room and lobby area is spotless and cozy to enjoy your welcome beverage, included happy hour and breakfast. Parking is easy and close by in their private lot as well as restaurants in walking distance or a short drive. The night time front desk person is not only knowledgeable of the area but super funny with just a great personality! He’s overall just a nice guy and takes care of any request you might have. The morning staff was helpful with coffee refills and bottled water. Hotel Trundle is a gem in Columbia and now if they could open in other cities, we would be even more lucky. We try to find reasons to visit Columbia just to stay here.

I understand that the hotel offers valet parking, but we saw the parking garage right across the street so parked there, and it was easy to come and go. When we entered the lobby we encountered the most upbeat, friendly receptionists that we had ever met! (Sorry I didn't write down their names.) They told us about the free water, wine and popcorn they offered. There were lots of smiles all around! The hotel is different from any other. I took a picture of the ceiling. Now for the info that really matters: yes, it was clean, yes the bed was comfortable, yes it was quiet (except for the city noises outside but that's what you get in a city.) I'll point out that in my room, there was quite a bit a light that came in on top of the window so it wasn't as dark as I'd like it when I sleep. But I had a good sleep nevertheless. Our stay included some breakfast sandwiches from a nearby restaurant delivered to our room (we had to indicate what we wanted the previous evening). We were very happy with this choice of hotel!

The hotel has a great location within easy walking distance of many restaurants. Easy to get in an out with valet service as well. Very eclectic, boutique feel. Well implemented with a casual and inviting vibe. We had a suite with cool exposed brick walls and some type of garage door apparatus left from the original building. The beds were super comfortable and the room so wonderfully dark. It was very hard to get up in the morning! But as neat as the appearance of the hotel is, the staff deserves all the credit for making our stay great. Although everyone we interacted with were very friendly Shay (sp?) and Jess at the front desk were over the top. Extremely welcoming. You legitimately feel like they are just thrilled you are there. Great, great experience. At a time when service as fallen off a cliff at some pretty big name hotels it's fantastic to see a local place just get it right. Keep up the good work.

Beds so soft they make you want to cancel all of your plans and sleep! The hotel is in the center of the city. You can easily walk anywhere you need to go. I highly reccomend staying at the Unicorn Hotel.
