For my purposes the hotel was in a great location, but it's an older hotel in desperate need of renovation. The safety lock on my door was broken and during my 6-day stay they never made any attempt to repair it. They never left enough towels, hand towels and wash cloths and I had to go to the front desk... More

The outside is full of trash. The outdoor pool literally does not exist. The wallpaper is peeling and the beds looked as if they had been sat on before I came into the room. We paid more for this hotel so that we had a pool!!!!!! Yes, they are changing to Hilton Garden in July. Don't give them business either.... More

The front desk was great!!very friendly. Hotel is under construction though. There was no breakfast like advertised, though they did have coffee. I think maybe the food service was closed because of renovations? Room had a pair of underwear behind the door of the bathroom. Toilet didn't look clean. Carpet didn't look vacuumed. But it was left expensive then the... More

We went to Columbia to attend a baseball game and ended up here because a friend booked it for us. It was obvious from the interior and exterior that this is an older building in need of a lot of TLC. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and checked us in quickly. The hallways have the... More

Stayed here during University of South Carolina Admitted Students weekend. Hotel was conveniently located near school. We were a mile away from Vista District and we walked to restaurants for dinner. Hotel is under renovations. There was no restaurant and no bar as both were closed due to the rest-model. Next time I come, I will go somewhere else. I'm... More

I had a lovely visit and meal two years ago, and well, things weren't quite what they had been as the hotel is being renovated. The staff is friendly and helpful, while clearly they did not quite have access to resources they needed to make the stay a stellar one. I don't think it was quite worth what I was... More

My stay at the hotel was great. The staff was professional, friendly and courteous. I had a problem with charges for the room but the representative answered all questions and will change my credit card. Also, the "Rep" was friendly and professional. The whole experience was very good.

We just stayed there on Friday and Saturday night because there was nowhere left in town to stay. I thought we could "rough it." More like wretching it than roughing it -- and for $139! We got locked out in the rain and cold both nights because they close the lobby at 11 and apparently go home or leave? Our... More

Never ever stay at this hotel. The hotel is outdated, the carpet is stained and dirty, the hotel has a terrible odor. As we were attempting to check in the clerk notified us that many people at the hotel were sick. He proceeded to get down on his knees and vomit into the waste basket. We walked out! This is... We have stayed at the Clarion many times. I used to think it was a decent hotel in a good location for a decent price. However, since the renovation started, things have definitely gone down-hill. ( Looks as if the renovation as come to a complete halt.) Our last stay was the absolute worst. First of all, everything looks beaten... More
