We chose the Inn at Patrick Square because of its location with great access to the foothills for a few days of late fall hiking and we were so pleased to find the classic looks and charm blended with modern amenities and so much comfort. Perfect place in a perfect location. The showers are truly world class.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed at The Inn at Patrick Square while visiting Clemson University. I read the reviews before our stay and was encouraged that the hotel would not disappoint. After driving for 10 hours, we were thrilled to find that the Inn exceeded our expectations. First, the location is great. Close to campus with restaurants next door and across the street. The lobby and decor are that of an upscale boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. After a long day of traveling, our room was a welcome sight. The temperature was comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean with continued upscale decor. There were water bottles and macaroons nicely presented. (If you can't tell already, we appreciate the small details that fine hotels such as this put into their businesses.) The room (2 queen beds) had ample space. Nothing irks me more when a hotel doesn't have any room for suitcases or places to actually put your clothes. Our room had plenty of space for 3 large suitcases, luggage rack, closet with hangers and a bench. There were also dresser drawers and nightstands. The lighting was warm and perfectly placed-no offensive white led lighting here! The beds were comfortable and we had a beautiful leather sofa to relax on. There were plenty of outlets smartly placed throughout the room for charging phones. The bathroom seemed brand new and very clean-no dirty grout or mildew. The lighting was great, there was plenty of counter space and shelf storage for 3 adults and their toiletries. Plenty of soft towels, a hair dryer (not the itty bitty cheap kind), and complimentary shampoo etc.. I was delighted to see that the bathroom had a ventilation fan. We've stayed at so many hotels that don't have one and we'll never understand why, especially in the south! As we were traveling by car, we also very much appreciated the bags of ice that were available by the elevator. Before going on our Clemson University tour, we grabbed a coffee at the well appointed in house cafe. Lastly, the price was incredibly reasonable for this level of hotel and all that it had to offer. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night before continuing our college visits through the state. We paid a lot more for the hotel that we stayed at in Columbia and it was not nearly as nice as the Inn. I can't think of anything that this hotel could have improved upon. It's clear that a lot of thought and expertise was put into the small details that make someone's stay truly enjoyable. We hope that Clemson is the place for our daughter and if so, we will absolutely be back at The Inn at Patrick Square for football games and parent's weekends! Go Tigers!

This hotel was amazing. The decor is lovely. The rooms were attractive, very clean, comfortable-even luxurious, with the bathtub!—and well-appointed. The suites have tons of space. Lovely views in either direction. The location is great— near a lovely planned community that’s great to walk around and several nice restaurants. Very short drive (five-ten minutes) to Clemson and Clemson’s downtown. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This hotel was also a very good value for the price. Hoping to visit again!

beautiful clean hotel and I can’t wait to come back. it’s had such charming character and a warm atmosphere. The brown leather couch in the room was a nice touch, as well as the ship lap on the walls, it all added a sense of home. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and i enjoyed the recommended restaurant nearby.

Everyone there was friendly and helpful. On our first visit of two, we asked for a microwave for the room and we barely had our things in the room when it was delivered. All the front desk people went out of their way to help, even racing to push the elevator button.

The lobby and staff were wonderful! Very clean lobby and rooms. The problem we had was the air conditioning in our room. It never got below 70 even though it remained set on 67 for the two days we were there. I spoke to the lady at the front desk and was told that the units were old.

The Inn at Patrick Square is an exceptionally welcoming place. All staff we encountered epitomized southern hospitality. We were first greeted by Abi who went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed and continued to interact with us as we passed in and out during our stay. The attached Stumphouse Cafe was a great convenience and they offered us filling Friday night snacks for free during cocktail time. Cleanliness was exceptional in the hotel and cafe. If we had one issue, it was that the style of bed pillows were not firm enough for our taste, but in fairness, we never asked the front desk if they had an alternative. Location is in a community with several restaurants and conveniences. Highly recommend.

My husband and I have traveled near and far, yet never experienced such comfort and perfection as we did this past week at The Inn at Patrick Square. While Tripadvisor is always my "Go To" when traveling, nothing could have prepared us for the caliber of warmth; beauty; comfort; cleanliness and professionalism led by the team at this stunning "Southern Living" Award Winning Inn nestled in the beautiful little town of Clemson and the foothills of the Western South Carolinas. Amanda and Abi went out of their way to reserve the perfect suite that would accommodate us nicely for a week while our home was being renovated. Upon check-in and the minute we opened the door to our room we felt like we were at home... beautifully appointed rooms! Absolutely first class!!! The beds were the most comfortable of any hotel lodging and while everyone has a favorite pillow, the hotel provides you with two foam pillows and two down feathered pillows. Such a stellar idea to appease any traveler! Every morning and evening we were kindly greeted by Nolly, Alex, Elizabeth and Chloe. Each one of them genuinely excited to see us; ask how our day was and inquire if there was anything they might be able to do to make our stay more comfortable. The attention to detail is spectacular at this Inn, never once did we have to press a button for the elevator in the lobby. The hotel staff was always one step ahead of us and it's no secret why the service exemplifies such excellence... Not only did we see Kathryn, the general manager cheerfully engaged with the front desk staff and housekeeping, but she would always stop whatever she was in the midst of doing to address us! Southern charm alluded by all! Loved the Stumphouse Cafe where Faith or Indy would happily provide us with an amazing cappuccino; delicious homemade oatmeal or the best yogurt and fruit parfait one could ever imagine!!! The Stumphouse offers such sophistication within a southern farmhouse feel. Many thanks to all of the staff for providing us with "Supreme Excellence"!!! BEST of THE BEST!!!!

This hotel was really nice - everything clean and rooms nice, staff was very nice. It wasn't over-the-top in any way but really satisfactory and we would stay there again for sure. I wish they had dining! One problem is that we stayed there on a sunday and everything dining-wise is closed on Sundays so we had no place in walking distance to dine.

Hi Dana! We are so happy to see that you enjoyed our Inn, but didn't get a chance to stop by the front desk for Sunday night dining in Patrick Square. Although Clemson Wine Bar and Rick Erwin's is closed on Sundays, Joes NY Pizza is open, which is in walking distance. We also have a list always at the front desk of restaurant's that are open on Sundays in Clemson all the way from casual dining to 5 star cuisine. So if you are ever staying with us, always stop by the front desk for dining! Hope to see you soon.
