We really enjoyed our stay here. I loved the separate tub & shower. It was nice to having the tub to get my kids cleaned up and then the shower for us. Our room was really spacious and very clean. The hotel was quiet which was great. Everything was really clean, the toiletries smells great too so that’s always a plus. The only minor issues were that the fridge wasn’t very cold in the room, I had breastmilk I needed to store and ended up using a cooler with ice instead because the fridge wasn’t cold enough for it. If you’re just chilling waters or a few drinks, it’ll be fine though. The other minor thing was the TV would make a weird noise that sounded similar to an alarm on occasion. We would shut the tv off and then it would stop so not sure what that was about but it was great other than those minor issues.…
Location - though not in Charleston downtown but easy driving to all the sights, average 15 minutes, the farthest was to Boone Hall Plantation, about 30 minutes. Hotel Bonus - receive a $15 food & beverage voucher for each day of your stay if book directly through the hotel website. Both the regular breakfast and weekend buffet breakfast were good and reasonably priced. Well Appointed Spacious Room - microwave, fridge, full length mirror, comfortable bed, desk, 2 arm chairs and an ottoman, separate tub & shower stall and plenty of light fixtures. Also a decent pool but didn't have time to swim. Convenience close by the hotel are: - Piggly Wiggly, a supermarket, for snacks, fruits etc - Toast of Ashley for breakfast, try their yummy big biscuits with gravy - Ye Old Fashioned Cafe & Ice Cream - The Glass Onion for a quick bite - Many other eating venues close by but we mainly ate in downtown Difficult to find street parking in Charleston downtown but there are quite a few Public Parking Garage scattered throughout the city, $1 per half hour, easy in and out. Go to the Visitors Center on Meeting Street to get all the maps and brochures and talk to Bobby who was cheerful, enthusiastic, informative and helpful. Ate at several restaurants in downtown Charleston. Our best meal was with Circa 1886 - Foie Gras, Shrimp & Grits, Broken Arrow Venison, Seared Sea Scallops and Strawberry Shortcake Souffle. Highly recommend the oysters in The Ordinary and the She Crab Soup in Amen Fish House.…
Charleston is an expensive town for lodging in tourist season but this place.......is a true BARGAIN. The room is spacious, the beds are comfy, it has a separate shower and a tub, quiet as a tomb and two wing back chairs that are a real plus IMO. HIGHLY Recommend. One negative: the lady that checked us in was not particularly friendly. She seemed like she would have rather been in the dentist chair than at work. Everyone has a bad day. Maybe this was hers.
Hubby and I spent our 10th anniversary in Charleston and knew we would return to the place we enjoyed, made us feel welcomed and provided the best Customer Service, Town & Country Inn and Suites. To our surprise, Bruce, the wonderful team member, still worked there and was the first face that greeted us! T & C has comfortable, clean rooms, and wonderful restaurant and a great staff. They are wonderful references for all things Charleston and surrounding areas. We had a full kitchen which came in handy for the delicious left overs. They are minutes from the airport, downtown Charleston and many other amenities. Highly recommend this gem for your stay in Charleston! We will be returning soon!
USS MILLS DER-383 held our 4 day annual reunion at the Town & Country Inn in May 2022. Location is very good; within the city limits of Charleston on the main thoroughfare. Accommodations were beyond expectation in every way. Rooms were modern, clean, easily accessed and reasonably priced for Charleston. There is a restaurant in the hotel that our crew used extensively. Hospitality room was perfect, it featured comfortable seating, was spacious and offered constant availability of water, ice, and ability to make coffee. Most importantly - Everyone our attendees made contact with was beyond professional, friendly and smiling. MILLS crew heartily recommends this facility for any need you have for an exceptional hotel.
My daughter was having her wedding here, in Poplar Grove, Ravenel, SC and almost all of her guests would be traveling to enjoy the weekend festivities. I needed a nice hotel that offered amenities, a lounge, and a restaurant. We also wanted the Bride and Groom to have a space to dress, enjoy their wedding attendants, have pics done and then stay that evening for the Wedding Night. The manager, Stephen Clarke was very helpful. We met with him about a year in advance giving him our lists of requests. He also gave us a lovely tour of the facility and rooms. We asked for the Groom and his attendants a morning room with beer and chips, the Bride (a larger room) with mimosa's and strawberries. It was set up beautifully. All of our guests also agreed that it was a very nice stay and I would not hesitate to recommend staying here for your next visit to our area.…
We spent 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and service was excellent. Facilities are well cared for...linens are good quality. We were able to reach different venues from this location. Rented the car conveniently from Enterprise which was next door.
Pros: The room was big and the walk in shower was really nice. The price was quite reasonable for the Charleston area. It was quiet. You could not hear noises coming from adjoining rooms. Cons: The internet was really lacking speed and quality. Parking could have been a little better. Tip: We reserved online which is suppose to get you a $15/night voucher at the restaurant which I had completely forgot about until we got back home. Make sure you ask for it when you check in as they didn't offer it to us at check in. We only ate once at the restaurant so in the grand scheme of things it wasn't much.
We came here for the week of my 50th birthday, first time in SC. The staff were polite and professional, the hotel was clean, plenty of parking. The architecture and decor were beautiful and the parking lot landscaping was well kept. The bed was SO comfortable, I wish I could have brought it home. The pool area was nice and well kept, we spent most nights relaxing under the stars. We were at the back of the hotel, nice and quiet with plenty of parking. The location is in between downtown and North Charleston shopping. We felt safe there, we walked around at night to the restaurants nearby. The only down side is the amount of traffic, if you’re travelling downtown it’s almost quicker to take a right and go up to the lights and turn around. I don’t think we have anything negative to say about this hotel. We would absolutely stay here again!…
Overall very pleased with this facility. The king room was spacious for our 10 day stay. The mattress and pillows were comfy. The room clean. The high back upholstered chairs and ottoman were also comfortable. We choses this facility just outside of Charlton for the cost and location. We easily could afford a car rental to provided opportunity to explore the greater Charleston area. If we had stayed downtown we would have missed the experiences of the many area barrier beaches. The only downfall was that the bar was not open and the resteraunt was mediocre. NOT really a problem as we were there to experience Charleston and we did, using the hotel as a base. I would return to this facility.
