I was looking for a place within walking distance of historic Charleston. The location is great, but the facility is very rundown. Their online photos were taken a very long time ago. Also the rooms have very very poor lighting. Fortunately we only came back to the room to sleep. Finally parking was 2 blocks away which was inconvenient. I...

We try to visit Charleston every 2 - 3 years and always stay at the Meeting Street Inn. Each visit has been wonderful and this visit continued our belief it is the best place to stay. It has a very professional and friendly staff, great service, a perfect location in the heart of the Historic District, and unique and comfortable...

Beautiful hotel, the room is incredible as is the outside area. It's older with so much charm & ambience, like having your own mansion while on vacation. The manager & all the employees are so friendly & helpful. It's walking distance to everything, all the great restaurants, shopping, carriage rides. Very happy I picked this hotel for our first time...

6 of us stayed herein 2 rooms for 3 nights for a bachelorette party. The best thing about this hotel is the price (compared to others nearby but its still not cheap at all) and the location. The location was right in the middle of downtown old city Charleston with shopping and restaurants right out the door. But most of...

Since Elliott House Inn eliminated their fabulous in-ground hot-tub, Meeting Street Inn (right around the corner) is THE place for authentic-feeling accommodations. Their lovely courtyard has a GORGEOUS in-ground hot-tub that is SO inviting. Staff is really nice and the rooms are actually a step up from those at Elliott House (our former fave). Will be staying here in the...

We were greeted by 2 of the most pleasant inn keepers I have had the pleasure of meeting! Inn was spotless, our room with queen bed was spacious, bathroom newly remodeled. I was worried about parking a couple blocks away in a lot that the Inn uses, but it was jot an issue. Parking lot afe, easy walk and a...

My wife and I stayed four nights for our anniversary trip. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful and they upgraded us to a room with a balcony. Even sent a complimentary bottle of champagne! It is an old building, but our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice reception every evening with wine and finger foods. It's...

Right on a main street. Free paarking close by (with provided pass). We spent 2 nights and found the location very convenient. The wine and cheese reception each afternoon was awesome as was breakfast. The building is old, but hey, it is Charleston. Very friendly and helpful staff. We would stay again.

Our group of 41 used this hotel as our main hotel during a five day stay in Charleston. Due to the size of our group, and another group booked during same time period, had to use a close by hotel as overflow for our group. Yes found the hotel to be charming, and the rooms to be bedrooms one might...

You can park your car across the street and walk to the Inn or any number of nearby restaurants, museums and historical sites. Hyman's Seafood is just down the street as a great many restaurants, museums and the marketplace where area vendors/artists sell their goods. The Inn is also within walking distance of the waterfront. At five p.m. the Inn...
