Dear Joe L, Thanks for taking your time to share a kind message as well as your spooky story with our hotel! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed everything our hotel had to offer during your recent stay with us especially our phenomenal and rich history with the building we occupy in - although we are located in an old historic building, with continuous love, maintenance and updates, we believe that the archaic charm is what separates us from other hotels in Charleston! Thanks for choosing our hotel among many other hospitality choices in Historic Downtown Charleston and we will certainly be looking forward to seeing you back with us for your next visit! Best regards, Daniel. L

This hotel was formerly The Citadel. You can still stroll the parade grounds. It's old and some of the furnishings could use updating but overall, our stay was good. Breakfast is included and cooked to order.

Are you near downtown ? Are you having flooding?
I remember it being a good 10 min drive from the hotel; however, as a Southerner, I would advise against going to Charleston during the hurricane season.

Do you have a shuttle from your hotel to the cruise port?
Not sure about a shuttle. Pretty sure it is less than a mile. We walked it but likely not an option for someone leaving on a cruise.

I can't imagine what could be improved at the hotel. Outside construction might be finished by then.
