This inn met our expectations. We liked the exposed brick walls, large room, high ceilings, nice bathroom. The oil paintings add a nice touch. Room was clean and comfortable with sofa and chairs. The roof view is a nice extra. This Inn has a feel of stepping back in time.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The building is beautiful and great amenities. I had a huge room with a tub. Suggest asking for one on a higher floor. The room had very high ceilings, exposed beams and brick. The microwave and fridge were a great addition. Could hear the room next door a bit, but it didn't bother and couldn't... More

We loved the central location of this beautiful facility. I'm not the hiker I once was and, though the weather was hot, we were close enough to hike to most all the attractions in this historic city. The room here was spotless, comfortable, and attractive, with everything visitors might need. We felt like we had the best of combination of... More

We visited Ansonborough Inn with our 2 little ones for 3 nights. The staff here was very friendly, amazing breakfast and happy hour with wine and cheese. The room had great decor and was very clean. Easy walk to all the attractions and restaurants. The only cons would be the nickel and dime charges: know before you go that they... More

Great location very convenient to downtown, aquarium, and more. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was "hot" and well above average, and "wine and cheese" evening was as great perk. The hotel is nicely updated but still "historically" decorated with a great Charleston appropriate vibe. We received an upgrade to the King Suite which was amazing and spacious, complete... More

I have never been to Charleston before so staying at the Ansonborough Inn was perfect. It's just about 2 blocks from "the market" & right in the middle of historic downtown. Beautiful entrance & courteous front desk associates. Our room was #102, same level as the front desk & entrance. California king size bed (extremely comfortable). A sitting area with... More

We were so glad we found this delightful hotel. A small, quaint inn with lovely rooms. The front desk staff was exceptional upon our arrival. We were early for checkin so we left our luggage, went to he market, lunch and returned to check in. We asked about our bags and learned they had already been placed in our room.... More

When we saw a hotel under $200 in Ansonborough, my favorite part of Charleston, couldn't pass it up. Turns out that includes wine and cheese at 5:00 and a more-than-continental breakfast. The location is perfect. Quiet yet on East Bay below Calhoun. Walk to anywhere. The hotel seems to be an old warehouse very cleverly constructed post-and-beam inside the brick... More

The Ansonborough Inn in Charleston was a fantastic choice for my wife and I to stay. We looked around for weeks trying to find a place that was close to downtown that wouldn't take up our entire vacation budget. The building itself is a beautiful old warehouse that has been converted into a hotel. The decor and rooms are filled... More

Quaint hotel on corner street with only 45 rooms on 3 floors each with a different look. No long hallways for unsupervised kids to run up and down. Check-in was simple and quick. Cozy lobby, spacious rooms (we requested a king, but ended up with a double).. Free breakfast and wine tasting daily. Get lemonade, hot or cold tea, coffee,... More
