This review is actually about their other property, The Quarters on Spring also in Charleston. I guess it is a new (only on the outside) property of theirs. We booked this place 2 months ago. Everything around was either booked or so crazy expensive. Unbeknownst to us a very popular 10k race was taking place the weekend we were looking to visit Charleston. 3 nights in a studio apt cost us $1000.00. This was the least expensive we could find. On the outside it looked redone. We noticed lots of young people. We come to find out it’s in a college area. Lots of student housing all around us. Ok, back to the studio: NOISE! Like I’ve never heard before! It’s ON a Main Street at a light! Cars, busses, motorcycles, blasting music, people walking right at our window and door. NOISY, NOISY! The place was small. 1 little and vey uncomfortable couch with dirty little pillows was the only place to sit. An equally small coffee table had to serve as our dining area and our foot rest area. Only 1 outlet worked so we had to move the coffee maker onto the tv stand. The kitchen was ill equipped with no towels, 1 small plate, 2 forks and the NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!! There was a sound machine on the tiny and squooshed bedroom where we had to walk sideways to get into the bed! I wished we had been warned before we booked as to the location and condition of the place! If you are on the younger spectrum I’m sure you’d be fine with this place but as an okder person it was awful!!!!

Property's Favorite Review
I had a 3 dat stay with my wife, 21 year old daughter and 77 year old mother, and everything was great. Location was fantastic, the communication leading up to the stay very good and everything was clear upon arrival. We had a 3rd story 2 bedroom and it was plenty of space, quiet, clean and just what we needed. As noted in many reviews, there are stairs and no elevators for some of the rooms, so with lots of luggage or for people with physical challenges this could be a downside. Overall I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We stayed in 201 Suite. Great communication prior to visit. Great location , but woke up at 7-7:30 with loud construction outside window and through bedroom wall . Looking outside the window on second floor noticed demolition /reconstruction to adjoining building with loud nails guns, hammering etc. This lasted most of the day and literally sounded as if construction was in the room . Would have loved to have been made aware prior to visit . Notified the office with response “thanks for letting us know. “ Tired with not much sleep we headed to parking lot and car had been towed . Be very careful about the parking area. Several on George St and we parked in the wrong lot . Needless to say $250 later , missed lunch reservations and a 25 min Uber trip to towing company we decided to head back home and forgo our plans for the day . Loved the space, just wasn’t worth the money considering no relaxation and came home exhausted .

We have stayed here a few times and always loved the building and apartments. This time we came down for my birthday. We stayed in a different apartment then normal. We arrived Monday morning. Very nice living quarters. But we woke up the next morning to a horrible sewer smell that was so nauseating. I have never in my life smelled something so horrible. The rest of the day all I could smell was that. Smelled like it was buried into my clothes and skin. I spoke to someone at the front desk about the issue and they moved our room. We went down stairs to speak with her in person to make sure there wasn’t anything on our end to change. We explained in depth about the issue and told her they needed to have a professional come asses the issue. She was very apologetic and said neither managers were in but would give us a call first thing next day. Never got a call from them. I thought I would the rub it off, but Thursday morning when we started packing the same smell came back. It started in the bathroom then started spreading to other areas on the apartment. It was horrible. We had forgotten something and went back up and even the cleaning crew had their shirts over their nose. We called and spoke to the lady at the front desk. To no surprise a manager wasn’t in and of course she said they would call, but we haven’t received a call. Our new favorite place to stay has been ruined by gas/ sewer fumes and the management. If this was handled appropriately by management they could have saved me the time of writing this. But I don’t want anyone else to go through what we experienced. Who ever owns this space needs to reevaluate their management team and give proper training on guest facing issues.

Plenty of room for 2 couples or small family in 2 bedroom unit. Very clean and modern facility. Walking distance to everything. Very helpful staff especially Amelia. Very comfortable. Does have set of stairs which can be downside for people with bad knees. Other than that, it is perfect

The location is perfect - at the intersection of King and Society St. The entrance is right on King St. You can walk to anything and everything - or call a bicycle rickshaw. Our first time in Charleston and my husband and I went with a friend. We rented #305 - a 2 bedroom. This really isn't a hotel - it's more of a rental property. Bath towels and paper products are provided - even Keurig coffee pods (which we didn't realize until we bought some of our own). The only thing I didn't like was that there was no view. All the small windows overlooked the rooftops of other buildings. It felt like we were in a basement apartment and not a 3rd floor.

Very nice Inn. We had a 2 bathroom 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. Very spacious, staff was very helpful, right off King Street kind of a central location a few blocks to city market one direction, several blocks or bus ride to Charleston Visitor Center. We would consider staying here again.

We stayed in #204 with our 3.5 yo. The entrance to our suite was on Society street, and only one set of stairs. The door to the building and our suite used codes that were easy to remember. PROS: Very spacious 2BR suite. Kitchen area with basic necessities. Shower in the queen bedroom was great. Smart TVs in living room and each of the bedrooms. Able to text management with any issues and when we checked out. We did not experience much noise at night. However, we did hear trash trucks around 6am. CONS: Had to have someone show me how to open the door with the knob. Pretty easy to learn, but make sure the door is completely locked when you leave! The bathtub filled up fine, but the shower dripped. Not a huge deal, but something to note. The layout was odd. The bedroom with the en-suite bathroom had the Queen, so my toddler got the King bed! (He was pretty happy about that). The Queen bed was against the wall, so it made going to the bathroom in the middle of the night a struggle. Both beds were creaky, but were comfortable. No view, but at least there was some sunlight that was able to peek through the windows/shades. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Just a few kinks to be aware of.

The website indicates that this is a "luxury hotel" which it is not. It should be listed as a VRBO or something similar. As soon as the room was booked it should have been made clear that there was no elevator and we would have to climb 3 flights of straight up stairs, and then be greeted with another flight of stairs upon entering the room to reach the bedrooms. We found hair in the sink, the tub and in various corners of the room. The doorknob to the "balcony" (which was a joke) fell off and could not be used. Then the handle to the bathroom faucet fell off. The floor in the bathroom was so uneven the door would not close without excess force. The room did not have hand soap and we ran out of toilet paper within the first 2 hours. There was nothing "luxury" about this room. I emailed and expressed concern over having to climb 4 flights of stairs and asked if there was another room available with an elevator. They did kindly offer another room, which was nice and did have an elevator, but was only available for 2 nights. For the additional night we had to move back to the rooms with the very steep stairs. All of this made for an incredibly stressful stay in Charleston. If you decide to book this property, make sure to clarify which part of the building you will be in. Also note that you will check in at a real estate office that is located around the corner from the rooms and is only open from 8am – 8pm.

We were in Charleston for a wedding and regretted booking this place. Great location but two flights of very steep and extremely dirty stairs made booking this place a huge mistake. No functioning ice maker. There was no management to communicate any questions or requests to as the telephone number provided is to a third party. And no one ever got back to us regarding our options to relocate or even requests for enough towels or sheets for the pull-out (a major reason we booked the suite for). Nor was there a safe for valuables - coming to a wedding this was not welcome. The only plus was the location but do not recommend it otherwise.
