Room was large and faced the courtyard. Courtyard was lovely as was the pool area (off season so we did not use). Cute coffee bar where we bought breakfast burritos. Did not use the restaurant. Sink and floor in room could have been cleaner. We had to ask for different pillows as they were too soft. Bed was fine. A good enough experience that we’d return. We loved the location.

Hotel's Favorite
Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The vibe is so fun, the rooms are so clean and functional, and the team provided some of the best service I’ve had in a long time. Little Palm is a great spot for bite to eat and so cute with its holiday decor. And the locatio can’t be beat. Walking distance to great shop and dining. Looking forward to visiting again!

Whenever I’m on a work trip I stay at the Ryder to be close to downtown area, and really because I so adore this hotel. But today was more special than most because Adrine at the front desk really went above and beyond. It was such a simple gesture but so rewarding! I came down for my pick up time earlier than usual because I had messed up the timing, so I had about an hour extra to kill. Instead of walking back to my room, Adrine suggested he watch over my belongings and I check out the Art Gallery that’s around the block of the Ryder Hotel. Am I glad I listened to him! However what really stood out for me is when I returned to the hotel, Adrine was busy at the desk yet he took notice I returned a bit early. After taking care of guests that were checking in, he offered to make coffee for me! Who does that..? There is a coffee shop located inside the venue, though it’s usually closed during certain hours I could have very well purchased my own cuppa. No sweet Adrine went to get the office Kureg and made me a cup and brought my luggage he had been keeping safely for me. It was truly a pleasure to meet such kind, caring, professional, helpful individual who really knows how to go above and beyond with his gestures and actions. Kudos to Adrine for being so attentive to his guests, it really shows what a good fit he is at the Ryder.

We stayed for five nights at the Ryder in late March, and we absolutely loved it! The staff was amazingly helpful, the bed was super comfortable and the room was extremely relaxing. The outdoor spaces (especially the pool) are beautiful and provide a little oasis when you want to get away from the bustle in the city itself. The Little Palm restaurant in the hotel is great (especially the Shrimp Roll), and we went to the coffee counter every day. Location-wise, it is on Meeting St. And right smack dab in the middle of everything we wanted to do. It is easy to walk to Market St, E. Bay, King, and the Battery. We loved it and will definitely go back!

Overall the hotel was just okay and I will not be returning. The hotel hit us with a hidden $40 daily amenity fee. This was charged per night and brought the price of the stay up significantly due to these “hidden fees”. The rooms could use more cleaning and there was an item a guest left behind in our room. There seems like there are better places to stay in Charleston.

This place has a unique, quaint hotel atmosphere with an upscale vibe. The indoor/outdoor bar was my favorite part. Who doesn't want to order a drink while sitting by the pool? I utilized the gym passport, which was very convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. Coffee shop on the first floor was clutch. Hotel is centrally located making walking to the pier or to the main strip for markets and bars very easy. I'd stay again.

Cute rooms and comfortable beds. Great on-site cafe with good coffee. You can use the gym in their sister hotel, about a 3m walk away. It's small but has what you need. Great location to walk around yet not located where it is loud at night. Would recommend.

I stayed at the Ryder hotel for a fun weekend with friends and it was a perfect stay. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfy, and the vibe of the hotel is awesome. We spent a lot of time at the bar/pool/restaurant and it was all great. Seems like a place locals come from brunch too - always a good sign! It was also super conveniently located and made walking around a breeze. I would definitely stay here again and 10/10 would recommend!
