No greeting as we arrived/walked past bell desk, no offer to assist with our bags or provide us a luggage cart, door kept swinging closed while we were dragging bags in with no attempt to help hold the door open… not the end of the world but again at $500 a night range I expect a greeting and an offer for help of some kind with bags or the door as is expected at this level... Had the stay have cost half what it did I would have felt better about it but the shortcomings and overall averageness/lack of any kind of higher end hotel elements or wow factor left me with mixed feelings... If I could do it again for the price I would stay at the Loutrel etc...

    Sadie in Valet was amazing, even when I told her we were okay with taking our bags to the room (had two small kids as well) she went above and beyond. She lead us to our room with a smile and good conversation... The gentlemen at the front desk in the mornings, was also amazing he made sure that we were able to get breakfast from the cafe after one of the servers said that they where closed and told use we had to go upstairs for brunch... However, the server that we had at the cafe was amazing as well going above and beyond for us... Overall, the experience was amazing and you can tell the staff takes pride in working here...

Arrived around midnight from a late night flight into Charleston and parked the car with the valet... I used the app to order the vehicle so I could attend a business luncheon... I texted a half hour before I had to leave to give enough time for the car to arrive... I kept receiving text responses that the valet could not locate my vehicle... I went down to the valet stand, which was not staffed, and waited... A person (assuming management of some sort) said that the valet was getting a vehicle but should be back in 10 minutes... In any event, I was late for my meeting not thinking I needed 45 minutes to get my car from the valet... They did offer to credit me one night of parking... Finally, I tried to order room service and used the QR code in the room to get the hours and menu... I called at 9:50 and was told that they take the last order at 9:45 (not according to the hotel’s own information)... The front desk was not very helpful and just said the kitchen is not answering... She said I could use the employees vending machine to get something to eat... On a positive note, the housekeeping staff was excellent They did a great job and were very professional...

    After a horrible experience at the airport with a car rental agency and a 2 hour delay of getting to the hotel, we were greeted immediately by our valet Sebastian. He told us he would get a luggage cart and would meet us in the lobby with our luggage... Loved being offered champangne and water at check-in... Sebastian accompanied us to our room and shared important information... Oh, yes, we ordered breakfast via room service and you can't go wrong when you order the Southerner Bowl, Forager Bowl or Chia Pudding they all were amazing... Lastly, I loved how the hotel reached out via text messages throughout...

Roof top bar and restaurant was a great place to unwind and watch a game at the end of the night and the wine bar on the lobby level had an excellent selection to choose from...

    Hotel is well situated and very walkable... Our room was quiet and the shower had good water pressure... Lighted makeup mirror was nice... And they give out free water bottles in the lobby so even more surprising to charge for the bottles in room... Didn’t find out until check out and hit with a $50 fee for water...

    ...There was one young man working valet parking... The receptionist also told us that there was no bellman to help with luggage, so we had to unload our own luggage and ultimately take it to the room... Valet parking is over $40 per day... We were told that the valet parking is outsourced, but we pay it in our hotel bill and, again, would expect better service... We stay in Marriott hotels and pay for nicer hotel specifically for the amenities...

    ...My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Bohemian. The Front Desk staff were very friendly and accommodating... A nice touch was providing complimentary water to drink at check-in and during the stay... We had a drink at the bar upstairs one night the everyone was pleasant and efficient... The room was decent size, nicely decorated and clean... In addition, the hotel is in a perfect location to visit the city as is convenient to all locations...

We’ve been staying at different hotels in Charleston for years and this is by far the best we’ve been to. Checking in was great and easy. The room was fantastic. We loved the huge bathroom and shower. The location was perfect. Walked most of the time to everywhere we needed to go. The bar/restaurant at the top was convenient and fantastic. Make sure you see Morgan when you go. The staff was constantly in communication with me each day with things going on at the hotel or around us.

Had a great time here. Such a beautiful property, from the art, to the rooms, where do I begin? I felt like a queen here! This is my first time visiting Charleston. The hotel was very close to downtown / King Street area. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful. A special thanks to Monse from the front desk Ahmed and Anthony from the cafe, Cameron from valet, and Colin from the bar. Thank you all for your outstanding service and I cannot wait to come back! The hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel just off King street in the heart of Charleston’s shopping district. Great walkable location and staff was very friendly and responsive but the negatives are: 1) it’s the most uncomfortable bed I’ve slept in at a hotel in a long time. It’s hard as a rock and my husband and I both had sore backs. Usually when we travel the beds are plush and comfy. This one felt like a cheap hotel bed. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights and had to check out after 2 because we couldn’t sleep. I usually wake once in the night and I woke every hour trying to get comfortable. 2) Also the room service options are terrible. It’s all pre-made items that they’ll bring to your room in a “to go” container. It’s like a grab and go salad from the airport not normal room service at a fine hotel. 3) There were no robes in the closet like you find at most nicer hotels. And also no extra blankets.

Absolutely the best location. Fantastic staff who did what they could to keep you comfortable despite having the main elevator down for replacement Everyone was friendly The rooftop bar had great cocktails and a fantastic view. Easily in walking distance to the historical sites

Sadie in Valet was amazing, even when I told her we were okay with taking our bags to the room (had two small kids as well) she went above and beyond. She lead us to our room with a smile and good conversation. I just wish I got her cash app so that I could leave her another tip. The gentlemen at the front desk in the mornings, was also amazing he made sure that we were able to get breakfast from the cafe after one of the servers said that they where closed and told use we had to go upstairs for brunch. However, the server that we had at the cafe was amazing as well going above and beyond for us. Overall, the experience was amazing and you can tell the staff takes pride in working here.

My amazing stay began at this beautiful property began the moment I arrived at the front desk. Noah greeted me warmly and welcomed me with a flute of champagne. His gracious hospitality & professionalism were on display the entire trip. Brunch at the roof top restaurant was delicious and was enhanced by Bonita’s impeccable service. Overall, the Grand Bohemian in Charleston is an amazing property with excellent staff that exceeded my expectations and made me wish for a longer visit.

Poor service from the customer facing staff needs to improve dramatically before I would stay here again. Arrived around midnight from a late night flight into Charleston and parked the car with the valet. I used the app to order the vehicle so I could attend a business luncheon. I texted a half hour before I had to leave to give enough time for the car to arrive. I kept receiving text responses that the valet could not locate my vehicle. I went down to the valet stand, which was not staffed, and waited. A person (assuming management of some sort) said that the valet was getting a vehicle but should be back in 10 minutes. Apparently the reason they could not find my car is because it was not entered into the system when I arrived. In any event, I was late for my meeting not thinking I needed 45 minutes to get my car from the valet. They did offer to credit me one night of parking. The main elevator was not working so had to take the freight elevator, walking through the laundry and employee areas. I understand that things break, but not a great way to present the hotel and no word on when it would be repaired. I tried taking the stairs, but all of the stairwells lead to the outside. Instead of coming out to a floor or lobby, it dumped me into an alley behind the hotel. Some signage would have been nice to people know that they will exit outside or into an alleyway. Finally, I tried to order room service and used the QR code in the room to get the hours and menu. The website said that you could order up until 10pm. I called at 9:50 and was told that they take the last order at 9:45 (not according to the hotel’s own information). The front desk was not very helpful and just said the kitchen is not answering. No attempt to go to the kitchen and place an order. She said I could use the employees vending machine to get something to eat. For a $400+ / night hotel, this was not the service that I expect. Further, since we were walking through the employee areas, I got to see the the Kessler Collection values, which include going ‘above and beyond’ and ‘offer alternatives’, none of this happened. Obviously, a management issue at the hotel in training front line employees. On a positive note, the housekeeping staff was excellent They did a great job and were very professional.

However, I sincerely apologize for the aforementioned opportunities and service gaps that you experienced while on property. While I understand the initial shock & disappointment of having to use the service elevator, I believe our team handled an unexpected issue regarding our central guest elevator as best as possible given the information that was available. Staff is very friendly and attentive and food at both restaurants was amazing. Hotel is in a perfect location close to everything. Our room was very clean and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable ever.

The hotel was beautiful and the front desk staff was very nice! We stayed for one night and enjoyed our stay. We were able to walk through the gallery in the morning and were offered drinks for our trip back from the front desk staff. The hotel was very clean, starting from the lobby to our room.
