There are not enough stars for this hotel or the staff. We loved the city of Charleston and were there during restaurant week. Hotel is well located and everyone is helpful! We will return without a doubt!

Hotel's Favorite
Stayed here for 5 nights & will definitely return in the future. Perfectly located in the French Quarter walkable to all the major tourist sites & restaurants. Only a 15-20 min Uber ride from airport. The standard king size room is larger than most standard hotel rooms with high ceilings & enough space to include a table with chairs, an armchair, and 2 closets with a separate spacious mini bar section. I really appreciate all the details like a heated towel rack, cell phone UV cleaner, double sinks in marble bathroom. The complimentary amenities are very generous from the in-room Nespresso machine, Welcome/Check-in Cocktail, Daily Nightcap, to the free mini bar and basket of local sweet & savory snacks that are replenished every day. The free daily breakfast is substantial with 3 options to choose from (continental, savory, and healthy). But what really made my stay so special is the OUTSTANDING service from the complimentary Butler service assigned to each guest. DWAYNE was so incredibly helpful, kind and so patient in helping me plan my Charleston itinerary, to steaming my wrinkled clothing and was even thoughtful enough to provide a sleep machine in my room. Thank you Dwayne! It's all about the details and this hotel really comes through.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff and their service, impeccable. The breakfast was scrumptious whether in room or in the bar. The many amenities are all 5 star. It is definitely worth every penny we paid for it and if returning to Charleston I would stay there again! It is right up there with some highly rated European Hotels we’ve stayed in.

Well located, boutique hotel - made our little getaway feel special and pampering! Service was attentive, staff was truly friendly and the hotel property was stylish and well maintained. Very comfy beds and linens - quiet at night so we rested well. The extras were such a nice touch: welcome cocktail at reception, drinks and snacks in our room (nice variety and quality), breakfast delivered each day, a little "night cap" left in room each evening. We'll happily stay at the Spectator again!

This was our third stay and it still remains one of my favorite hotels. The hotel is meticulously maintained and the service, bar none, is top notch. From the valet service, to housekeeping, to bar service, and butler service — all a five star experience. We stayed in one of their deluxe king balconette rooms. Previously, we had stayed in a traditional king and a deluxe king courtyard. Of the three, the balconette room is my favorite. We were on the top floor. The room had high ceilings and felt a little roomier than the others we have stayed in. The bathroom was beautiful and spotless. Plenty of drawer and closet space for the both of us. And I love that the drinks and snacks offered in the mini bar are included in the room rate. The bed was super comfortable and the hotel is very quiet affording a great night’s sleep. This was the first time we had drinks in the bar area. The cocktail menu is creative and the service was excellent. Cocktails were up there with some of the best I’ve had. The repent and redeem was my favorite. We also had breakfast one morning, which is included in the rate, and it was fairly good. It’s rare these days, but I actually felt as though the price we paid equaled the value we received. We are booked there again in the near future and look forward to another great stay.

The best hotel I've stayed period. Butler service was awesome. Room and bed was huge. The bed was so soft and comfortable and bigger than most beds. The shower is perfect. Bathroom is huge as well. You can't beat a stay at the spectator if you tried.
