What a sublime treat. Zero George is an elegantly deconstructed inn with an inspired young chef, creative sommelier, smart, young, hip, talented staff and a cool, easy vibe. The food is beautifully prepared with unbelievable flavors all composed with organic seasonal offerings. Run don’t walk to this marvelous place.

Our daughter gave us this trip as a "reverse wedding present" after her June wedding. She did all the planning, so we had no idea what to expect. This hotel was just absolutely amazing. The hotel staff was so friendly and accommodating. They offer a complimentary morning breakfast buffet and one morning we were late getting there and they had no croissants left. I asked the kitchen if there were more and she explained that the bakery delivers daily and she had no more. The concierge, who was out of sight and upstairs, heard my request, came down and offered to run over to the bakery to get a croissant - who does that!!!???? They had a sound machine in our room, so each evening when we came back the machine was softly churning out sounds of the ocean (among 10 choices), a old fashioned pint bottle filled with water and a glass, both on leather customized coasters were by the side of the bed along with cookies and ear plugs (the room was not near the road so it was clearly a preemptive attempt at helping with "snoring"). They also had a complimentary evening wine and cheese hour, with a choice of wines and a cutting board filled with cheeses, nuts, dried fruit - amazing. My only complaint about the breakfast and cocktail hour was that the choices never changed in our 4 days there. Upon our arrival a bottle of Prosecco was already chilling in the room along with some chocolate dipped strawberries and a note from our daughter and son-in-law. A small point, but this little gift was already in the room upon our arrival, not some afterthought delivered later on. Upon our departure, the staff wrote a personalized note and left a beautiful leather luggage tag - when I raved about it to the front desk, he offered me a second one. There were bikes to use, Uber was never more than a 2 minute wait and we could walk to a nice variety of restaurants. Overall, just an amazing experience.

We had an amazing experience at Zero George! They have the most charming atmosphere and a great personal touch with the customer service. The verandas were a great place to enjoy the wine and cheese, breakfast was fresh and better than any chain hotel and the best part were the bicycles that were complimentary that we used to stroll through King Street. Everything about this place was great including small details in the room, the turn down service with almond cookies waiting for us and even the sound machine! I would recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be returning!

As one enters the property of Zero George Street, life quiets right down, which is EXACTLY what we needed. The grounds and interior spaces for sharing a glass of wine or a cup of coffee with someone special are intimate, relaxing, and special: Charleston garden splendor, the lovely brick patio tucked beneath the porch, and the sitting and dining rooms with their traditional, historic charm, luxurious decor, and contemporary art elements. We felt like we were on a special vacation immediately. The staff aimed to please. They gave us a tour of the property and our rooms, delivered tea, served us wine and a lovely cheese and charcuterie plate in the sitting room. Any questions we had were expertly answered, and the staff also offered wonderful suggestions related to activities, logistics, and dining. Furthermore, our rooms were very, very quiet. The beds were comfortable, and we all slept well. We will definitely return, and next time we'll dine and try a cooking class! Just loved it.

We loved our stay here! We were originally between this and the Dewberry and couldn't be happier that we went with Zero George. It was the perfect location - within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to be but just far enough away from the action. The property is the perfect balance of historical and modern, the staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The afternoon happy hour with a complimentary glass of wine or bubbles and cheese plate was a great perk - we sat on the porch for this! The restaurant was a delicious experience and the kitchen is open, so you can get a real look into what the chefs are doing when you enter the main house.
