We were celebrating my husband's 80th birthday. The restaurant is warm and inviting and is in the front of the hotel. We were seated at a charming banquet which offered us a modicum of privacy. Our server arrived and welcomed us warmly. My name is Jordan (Ross). I understand you are celebrating a special occasion. Our son and daughter in law had preordered the meal. The next two hours were delicious. Our nitro drinks were interesting and very good. The food was extraordinary. The variety included tuna tower, escargot Onion soup, octopus and these were only the st arters. With every dish Jordan explained what we were eating and was attentive to all our needs. The lobster was huge and served beautifully. Everything about this restaurant is a 10. My husband is gluten free and their gf bread is the best he ever ate.I work I have recommended this restaurant to friends visiting Charleston and they loved it as well. Since our service was excellent we would only ask for Jordan. She was terrific.

Before you book the $50 voucher program, be sure you ask questions about how it can be fully used. Book your dining advance otherwise, you will be drinking the voucher and not eating it. No rollovers.

The hotel is fantastic for many reasons! The location is ideal for walking to all the attractions and restaurants. The decor is everything you would want in an old “Charleston” feel with generous room and bathroom sizes. The hotel staff is attentive and polite. The hotel has one of the finer restaurants in town plus a lively rooftop bar. Lastly, you get all of these items for a reasonable price point compared to some others around town. Bonus is turndown cookie plate, so fun. The hotel is ideal for a bachelorette party, couples vacationing post retirement or newly weds, basically anyone not with kids 16 or younger. Why? First and mainly, the hotel is set up with no lobby. So while all the hip, dressed up guest are enjoying their wine at the downstairs bar or eating their steaks in the fine restaurant, your family is doing the walk of shame down the middle of the action. Talk about ruining the mood! The hotel has this amazing perk of $$$ credit if you book direct with them; however, you can’t use as a to go dessert for the kids or a glass of wine for tired mommy without sitting down and subjecting the waitstaff to your crazy crew. My crew is well traveled and behaved and still very uncomfortable. So I would definitely stay here again but not with any child under 16ish.
