There is nothing I can say bad about our stay. The staff was outstanding! From the ladies who setup breakfast to the bartenders, housekeeping and anyone I missed. This hotel is a well oiled property. The amenities where great the complimentary happy hour each night had something for all mocktails, wine, and signature drinks. The bartenders Tyler and Jack were outstanding. The in-room snack bar provided a array of soft drinks, chips and cookies. We stayed in a king suite which was a siting area and separate bedroom. There was cleaning, turndown, and snack bar replenishing each day. Breakfast was also very good each day something different - but something for everyone. The property is centrally located in the French Quarter. Magnolias is a 8 minute walk and the Oyster bar is across the street. This is a great property and I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone who would like a a King or Queen for a few days.

I loved my stay at The Loutrel ! What a beautiful boutique hotel. The ambiance of the lobby, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and I felt welcomed the minute I stepped foot at the hotel. Their amenities are unique, with complimentary signature water bottles & delicious cookies delivered before bed. The mattress/pillows were super comfortable. You can tell they paid great attention to detail on everything! We also enjoyed the rooftop lounge ambiance and complimentary drinks. This hotel is a true definition of hospitality! You will not regret your stay!

I stayed five nights and only had one hot shower. I tried in the morning, the afternoon, and in the evening before dinner and there was never hot water. It's disappointing to spend so much money (over 2k) and to have to repeatedly talk yourself into taking a cold shower. This is the first review I have ever left on a hotel. Flying home now and looking forward to a hot shower. The Days Inn at least has hot water..... please save your, "we're disappointed that we didn't meet your expectations response." Just have facilities turn up the water temperature on the hot water heater.

We visit Charleston often & have stayed at a few hotels. We have officially found our new home away from home. Extra touches, incredible staff that go above & beyond to spoil you…oh and the incredible roof top space. Location, location, location. Thank you all that made our short visit so incredibly special. See you soon.

The Loutrel is my new favorite place to stay in Charleston, South Carolina. It's a small boutique hotel that is loaded with amenities like free drinks and snacks in the room, free happy hour each night and fabulous free breakfast every morning. The Veranda Lounge serves great food and drinks late into the evening and the roof top terrace has great views of the city.

We knew once we entered the Loutrel we picked the right one. The Staff was very Attentive and Caring! Everything felt new and was very clean! We had a Corner King and it was very spacious. The In room amenities were all included in the price, the bathroom was very nice too. The Breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus. Great walking location to everything in Charleston. Would recommend this Hotel if your looking for a small Hotel and not a Chain Hotel!

This was our first time staying here, but definitely will not be our last. I’ve been somewhat disappointed with most hotels in the US— they are typically just too expensive for what they provide. In fact, we’ve been using Airbnb frequently when traveling for that very reason. ButThe Loutrel was a welcome throwback to a time when I didn’t hold my breath upon opening the door to our room. Our “traditional king” room had a beautiful decor, was very clean, provided complimentary bottled water, chips, and cookies. The shower was great and bed and linen was very comfortable. A lovely continental breakfast is provided as well. I feel the room was appropriately priced for what it was. Looking forward to our next stay here. Thank you!

We like the Loutrel. The bartender Kevin is the greatest and the breakfast is nice. But on the coldest day of the year, when we were looking forward to a warm steamy shower to wake up, the water was cold, cold, cold. We called to the front desk and they said they’d send an engineer up, but no one showed. We left for the day and when we came back were told nonchalantly that the water heater feeding the room was broken but was now fixed. Nothing was done to make up for this lack of morning warmth. We expected much better service from a hotel of this caliber. You should too.

Had the best stay while we were in for the weekend. Easy walking distance to king street, coastal path, and next to the market. Staff were welcoming, informative, and friendly. I love when you don’t have questions after checking in to a place. The room was spacious and VERY comfortable. The bed was amazing! Great in room amenities, which made our stay a step above other places. The gym was great, with a good condition peloton. (Cages and SPD pedals). Wide free weight range, and enough space. Enjoyed the lounge set up as well. Absolutely can’t wait to return.
