We made an impromptu trip to Charleston and decided to stay the night. We chose the Marriott based on location and price. The site we booked it on said it included breakfast but it did not which was a bit of bummer. The hotel is on the same road you catch the Ferrry to Ft. Sumnter so that was very... More

Although everyone we encountered at this hotel was lovely, no one was more enthusiastic about Charleston than the concierge, Kevin McQuade. From our pre-visit conference call on his off time to our first moments meeting him when we arrived at the hotel, Kevin exuded enthusiasm for his beloved Charleston that was infectious! He arranged two fabulous days for us that... More

The Courtyard was located within walking distance from all the shops and food Charleston has to offer! The hotel itself was nice however there are reasons I am not giving it 5-stars which are: there was mold in the shower (not a huge deal, bleach will solve this), my room was located next to where I believe the housekeepers had... As far as location, it could not be beat, parking was somewhat of a chore but it turned out fine. The hotel itself was a bit outdated, could use a remodel. Bed was comfortable, took forever for water to heat up. Overall I'm not sure I would stay at this particular Courtyard again.

This hotel was right in the center of everything. You could walk to the visitor center, the college, food, and shopping. The room was a typical hotel room, clean with a mini-fridge. Breakfast was not included, but Panera was down the street if you didn't want to pay for hotel food. Parking was an additional fee, but no surprise given... More

My husband is here for business, so I am tagging along to enjoy the city. We have a King bed whose mattress is long past its prime. We can feel the springs and it creaks every time we move. The shower curtain is torn, and the bathroom sink drain makes horrible noises every time we use the faucet. I am... More

We had a fantastic weekend stay at this hotel. The hotel was clean and modern, the room was comfortable, and the location is amazing. My only complaints would be that the parking lot/garage is small, housekeeping was slow (room not ready until 5pm on checkin and not cleaned until 3pm the next day), and the elevators were small and slow... The Courtyard is located in the middle of two parts of Charleston and provides a central point for exploring most of the peninsula. To the south is the historic district; about 15 minutes walk to the city market and 25 minutes to battery point. North of Calhoun Street provides vibrant nightlife as a younger crowd is out en masse to... More

From the moment we entered this Marriott, we were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm. EVERYONE we encountered was helpful, providing us with recommendations and directions. Kevin, your concierge took our ideas and molded the in the most practical and informative manner. The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance or a short drive. There was ample parking and many amenities.
