Compared to other luxury hotels around the world, this hotel has a lot of catching up to do. Avoid breakfast unless you want a really bad experience, which will impact your overall view of the hotel. It is quite expensive and represents poor value by comparison with many other hotels we have visited around the world, but the price is probably indicative of the supply and demand factor.

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I stayed here for the first time, but are longtime Charleston visitors. Everything went beyond our expectations and it was a lovely stay. Will stay here again. The palmetto cafe was also amazing.

Highly recommend this property. The service, amenities, cleanliness and staff were all amazing! The location is ideal and although the hotel boasts over 500 rooms it never once felt too crowded or busy.

Outstanding location! And even better, 5 star all the way. From the overall facility, the rooms, the housekeeping service, the beds/pillows and the dining experience. I cannot say enough good things about it. I was there for a work conference but extended my stay for fun with colleagues. Very much worth the extra time and money. Worth every dime.

It has been a long time since I last visited Charleston and while I have stayed at many of the boutique hotels in Charleston, this was my first stay at the Charleston Place, but it won't be my last! This is truly a World Class Hotel and rivals any place in the world. While this was the perfect venue for our Global Sales Meeting, it is just a perfect place period. No attention to detail is missed. For a truly wonderful experience, I strongly recommend The Charleston Place as your place of luxury!

Great Property and wonderful staff. Can not wait to go back. This was a business trip but felt like a vacation. Location is perfect with access to most sites. Shopping onsite was great with lots of options.

Worth every penny! Highly recommend staying here, for business or pleasure. Great location, close proximity to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff from entry to exit. Southern Charm at its finest. Will be coming back soon!

This was by far the best experience I've had at a hotel. I truly see why they're on their way to being a 5 star hotel. The customer service was an example of the impression we should all strive to make on others. From the valet team, front desk, and greeters-everyone went above and beyond. I hurt myself and the amazing greeter, Jenny Jaus held the door open as I slowly made my way up the steps and was extremely patient with me. The turndown service, the waterfall showerhead, comfy bed-you won't want to leave. 10 out of 10 would recommend someone stay here.

This is a beautiful hotel. We stayed two nights for a special occasion and could not have been treated better. We treated ourselves to a King Club room, which was expensive, but had the benefit of access to free food and drink virtually all day, so we saved on meals. We had a delicious dinner downstairs the first night and grazed dinner and dessert at the club lounge. We also had a couples massage at the spa. We didn’t use the indoor/outdoor heated pool, but it looked lovely.
