My wife, one year old, and I had a very comfortable stay! This was our first hotel stay during the pandemic, and it was on a road trip from NJ with a baby, no less. We arrived and met Jay Carlson, who was just the right person to meet after 7 hours in the car. His help (and patience) got us off on the right foot. The whole staff was fantastic our whole stay. The property itself is definitely nice, but the rooms are on the smaller side and it lacks of amenities found at other Renaissance properties. We felt very clean, safe, and happy with our choice and our stay, and will definitely be back!

Thank you for staying with us recently on your road trip with a new baby, that sounds like an adventure. We appreciate you taking the time to recognize Jay, he is such an amazing part of our team. We continue to pivot an evolve our offerings, this feedback on amenities is important as we are listening to this feedback as we bring back services. We are opening our new restaurant Lenoir this week which we are thrilled to offer to our guests in partnership with Vivian Howard. We hope to get the chance to welcome you back on your next road trip!

In true Southern Hospitality fashion, the staff at the Renaissance were so helpful and friendly. Mackey and Jay Carlson helped us out with our luggage, parking, and getting around the hotel. I would definitely go back and stay here.

Everyone was very accommodating. They would make sure we understood them by gestures and writing. They were clean, friendly and helpful. They always gave us more than what we ask for too. We love the bellman too - Jay C! Very helpful. Always working hard! Highly recommend this hotel. Perfect location to everything! Please be sure to try the strawberry matcha too!! Next time I am bringing my dog!!!

Jay C at the Renaissance was a true Renaissance Man (pun intended). Not only was he a bellman, he helped us get Ubers/cabs/pedi cabs/car service in a town where it was nearly impossible, and on our last day he was out watering the plants. He was never idle and went out of his way to help the hotel guests. He made our stay so comfortable and wonderful.

Hotel was adequate although the room was tiny. The room would have been fine for 1 person. Best asset this hotel has is Jay C.. He was always there and ready to help, whether it was directions, restaurant suggestions or local attractions. He is a true credit to the hotel.
