Perfect location walking to everything. Right next to all the shopping. A few blocks to the waterfront. High end hotel. Staff was amazing and we interacted with a lot of them. Super clean and cool touches of art etc. Breakfast isn't included but it is really good. Parking is a little pricey but hey it's easy. Loved this place.
Perfect location, excellent service, great amenities, and very comfortable rooms. Spotless. Strong attention given to COVID considerations. Hotel parking is available at the garage across the street. This was our second time there, and no doubt, not the last.
The room was expensive. The elevators were dirty. No laundry service and had to pay for daily internet usage. On what planet is internet not included in the cost of the hotel, although the charges were waived bu I don't think I had to ask for it to be waived, it should just come standard for the cost of the hotel. I still don't know why this hotel is special and why the price is super high for a 2.5 star hotel
Outstanding service. Outstanding facilities. Foodservice is exceptionally good. Self Parking is next door. There’s a moto rcourt with bell-services to drop/pack bags. Bonvoy breakfast is excellent grab-n-go.
The entire staff - front desk / concierge / bellmen / doorman / housekeeping and at Lenoir were absolutely stellar! Each would smile and great you / even the non English speaking staff!!! Concierge’s suggestions were very good !!! The bartender at Lenoir, Michael, was very knowledgeable about area attractions and downtown spots of interest. I really enjoyed my stay and think the rest of the company could take lessons from this exemplary staff. When back in Charleston I will make it a point to return to this RENAISSANCE Hotel!
We stayed at Renaissance in Charleston as a last minute decision returning home from north South Carolina. We are so happy we choose Renaissance. the staff was very polite and professional and always attentive and offering assistance. there may be less costly options for lodging, but none with better service. Thank you!
Everything from staff to food to location, this hotel was everything you wanted in a hotel experience. The mangers were all very kind but by far the front desk associates were warm and welcoming! Will be coming back for another coffee from handy and hot, enjoy the pool, and a nightcap at lenoir!
My experience was wonderful. The staff is very attentive and quick to act on requests for extra towels. The rooms are nice and clean and very well appointed. The hotel is centrally located for shopping and restaurants - which are in abundance!
There was not a comfortable place to sit in the room! No place to relax and watch TV after a tiring day of seeing the city. TV only faced the bed. Cold tile floors, not comfortable on the feet. Needs two comfortable chairs. And this was supposedly an upgraded room! You missed on this one, Marriott!
Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my life. As a Titanium Elite member I requested 5 Suite nights, they were refused. I had checked in online the day before, certainly they had an upgraded wonderful room for me due to the fact I was Titanium Elite. WRONG. I had requested a quiet room on a high floor, I was given, upon check in, a second story room looking directly out at the entryway/valet station, above a conference center with the absolute loudest group of people I have ever heard. I had my room changed to the 3rd floor, a connecting room that I said I would not accept and was told I only had a choice between this room and the first. It was in an awkward corner with another entry door almost touching mine. We initially had neighbors on one side of us who screamed and cursed at each other almost the entire time they were there, slamming the door constantly. On the opposite side we had a couple who may or may not have been filming pornos, it certainly sounded like it, and it went on day and night. The guests on the opposite side were replaced with a couple with a baby who cried and screamed almost constantly. The walls offered zero insulation from any of these sounds. Although not one to complain in most situations, I called the front desk on numerous occasions, I was told "Charleston is a party town, you have to expect noise from your neighbors" and "we can't do anything at all about crying babies". When we arrived, we were tired from a cross country flight and were hungry, so we thought we would try Lenoir's. When we entered there were 6 empty tables, we counted. We were told it would be 30 minutes before we could be seated because the wait staff needed a break! This was at 8pm in the middle of the dinner hour! The housekeeping was horrible, our sheets were never changed, on 2 occasions where we needed to start getting ready at 4pm for an event that night our rooms had not been touched. The grout in the shower had mold, the furniture stained, mis matched old nasty towels, horribly hard mattress, dark rooms with inadequate lighting. This is an old run down hotel that needs to be gutted, both the building itself as well as 90% of the staff. This is not what I expect from Marriott. …
