This is not just a hotel, but an experience. From the moment you step in the door, you are treated like a special guest. The room was spacious and extremely clean. The bed was super comfortable and bathroom was gorgeous was a rainhead shower. The hotel leaves complimentary beverages in the fridge upon your arrival along with some pimento cheese and crackers. From 5-6pm, there is a wine and cheese hour in the library with indoor or outdoor seating in a cute little area. There is also a small rooftop pool (3 ft deep) with limited seating around the pool. We will definitely be making a return next summer when we visit SC.
Beautiful hotel! Great location and amazing service. Loved having all the space in the one bedroom, and the pool was fantastic. Free breakfast each morning delivered to the room was just perfect. Awesome hotel!
Beautiful hotel, attentive staff, great location! We had an amazing visit - used the bikes & jeep, coffee shop, bar, etc. They helped make reservations at great restaurants for us and the room was awesome!
What a beautiful property in a cozy little area of Charleston. The service was fantastic! Chelsey and her team see to your every need. The valets are fast, friendly, and are always willing to help. The Watch restaurant was perfect for our dinner. Excellent food, great service, wonderful view, and atmosphere. The entire experience at The Restoration is everything a stay should be. Oh and the breakfast in the morning, brought to your door and left in a picnic basket, just perfect! Thanks Restoration, see you next time!
Beautiful property. The service was good until we brought up a security issue. We stayed in the 2 bedroom residence which was very nice. Upon entering our room, a large group of people walked the outside of the outdoor space and looked inside the large windows and doors located in the kitchen area. A woman who held a drink in her hand knocked on the windows and the doors. She then tried to open the glass window door. We opened it and asked what did she want, and she said the attendant who was in our room. Because the group kept standing at our windows looking in and pointing, my husband checked to make sure that the windows and doors were locked. At that point we discovered that none of the windows that people could stand next to in the bedroom and kitchen areas had locks. Some had partial pieces and others had none, and all opened from ground level. We called the front desk and waited for an hour before leaving, but no one arrived. I walked to the lobby to ask the front desk person when the locks would be fixed and was told that it would not be that night because they did not have a maintenance person in the event. I told her that would not work because I had valuables that needed to be secured. She said that no one has ever complained about the locks before, to which I responded that does not resolve the issue for us. She asked what did I want her to do, I told her that she could nail them shut for now. She personally nailed the windows shut. That was fine, but it took more effort from me as a customer to get basic security. Grant it, the nailed windows presented a fire issue but I thought it wears going to be resolved the next day. Facilities showed up the day before we left. At over $600+ a night/$3200+ for 4 nights, that was unbelievable. No one ever followed up with me or offered an apology, empathy or at least acknowledged what took place. When my husband and I were not in the room, they gave the couple who stayed with us a bottle of wine for the neighbors being disruptive. The GM never spoke with me directly. That was disappointing and she closing out the matter with me would have changed the trajectory of our experience. The staff with the exception of the GM was very very helpful and informative. The GM missed with the security issue, but was ok other than that. …
My husband and I stayed to celebrate our wedding night. It’s a gorgeous space and hotel, and it’s centrally located in downtown Charleston. The employees were very friendly. The room was clean, but could use some maintenance and upkeep. Some of the kitchen cabinets had some wear and tear, several of the doorknobs were VERY loose, and one of the glass doors seemed pretty fragile. I would stay again.
We absolutely loved this hotel and our experience here! From the delightful check in, very cool and unique room to the excellent bar and restaurant upstairs, it exceeded our expectations in every way! The breakfast basket was an added special touch that we really enjoyed! We will definitely visit again one day and this will be our hotel of choice!
One block off King. Very large room with full kitchen, which was quite nice. Also appreciated that our room had a washer and dryer. Staff was helpful throughout stay. Breakfast to the room in darling little basket was a lovely touch. Bed was very comfortable.
The location was great and the employees were helpful and friendly. I was not as impressed with the accommodations. The restaurant, pool, and boutique were all a let down. Was expecting more upscale. I think it has potential, but we just didn't have a great experience.
Literally the most amazing hotel we have ever stayed in. We will absolutely be back! The service was incredible and the whole place is adorable. From the morning breakfast to the pool to the roof top restaurant, everything was perfect! The location was key for the perfect Charleston experience.
