Clean, quite, economic and awesome! Staff are amazingly polite and helpful. Close to downtown Charleston and other historical sites. We plan on making this a frequent camping spot! Bring your bicycles!

This park is a gem! My husband and I just spent 3 nights camping at the James Island County Park. Roads to reach the park are a bit narrow for big rigs, with overhanging tree limbs. The turn from Central Park Rd to Riverland is a bit sporting with a large tree ltrunk, so just be aware. It's worth the...

We enjoy staying at James Island County Park when we visit the Charleston area. It's the closest RV Park time wise to Downtown Charleston. It's got nice level sites and the park is Dog and Child Friendly. Great walking/Biking Trails wind all the way around the entire park. It's Handicap Accessible. They also have cabins that are great for folks...

Customer service and site was excellent. My only complaint is that the make pest control to help with the massive amount of bugs in and around the playground area that are all over you and bite you extensively. Everyone, children and adults alike, all complained of this. Deet didn't do too much to ward them off either. There needs to...

This is a much better than average RV park. The lots are level and relatively large. You're in the woods, but with good roads and plenty of room for maneuvering. There's no cable TV, however, and the Wi-Fi is kind of slow. But, if you're going to be staying in the Charleston area, this place should be on your short...

We have a 30' Class A Motor Coach and the camp site was very large and provided plenty of space for the coach, picnic table and chairs outside to relax. The place has a lot of things to do at the park for those that enjoy activities. We are two retired individuals, so we enjoyed taking the park shuttle into...

We camped here for 3 nites. I was excited to stay here, but was quickly disappointed. The bathrooms were dirty and the laundry room was not a room. It was more like a storage area for old wood in front of the dryers. It was open for the length of the 4 washers and 3 dryers. No wall. All of...

Amazing find in Charleston for everyone camping. Very clean. Very friendly people and nice camp store. Conveniently located on james island. Nice dog park. Only negative was low signal wifi in the evening. But, on vacation, wifi doesn't mean much to us. Will return when I come back for camping.

We spent two nights here in our small motorhome. Unfortunately, our first night we spent in their overflow field with no hookups at half price. I had called an hour before arriving to determine if there was an available spot. I was told there was and that I would not require a reservation. When we arrived we were told that...

We loved this campground and park. The sites were level with a good amount of space between campsites. Some with shrubs & trees between for more privacy. The washrooms were conveniently located and for the most part clean - the showers were well used and showed it by the evening. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We visited downtown Charleston...
