I can say this is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. Spent a week there in March 2017. Clean bath houses, well kept and there is allot to do. Friendly staff and well stocked camp store. Bring your bikes and kayaks. Very nice paved bike trails and nice lake to paddle. Loved there dog park next to...

What a beautiful property! We stayed in our rented RV for two lovely nights in January & even in winter this park was wonderful. Well maintained with a place to walk the pooch, all hook-ups, washer/dryers, decent bathrooms with showers that were well kept & 'night-lights' for those after-dark strolls. If you're around for the Christmas holiday season, I have...

We recently spent three nights in this campground. This was one of the nicest campgrounds I've ever stayed in. There were many things to do in the campground as well as in Mount Pleasant and the Charleston area. Although we stayed only for three days I wish we would have been able to stay for one week. The park is...

We planned a quick get away from the hustle and bustling of everyday life, not thinking we should have planned for a longer stay. What a fantastic park. Especially for families. Check it out. Book a stay.

James Island County Park is so well laid out with camping sites, biking trails, splash park, dog park, playing fields, and activity building. We camped this weekend with six other couples and although there was a cold wind, the weather was quite tolerable due to wonderful sunshine. We built fires in fire ring at dusk and kept them hot until retiring...

Easy access, great paved trails for biking or walking, big dog park with access to a lake for the dogs who love to splash! This park has plenty to keep everyone happy, climbing wall with a zip line, big swimming area, lots of picnic tables and shelters. The campground has a nice store and easy check-in. Most of the sites...

This county park has all the fun a family could want - walking and bike trails, water park, climbing wall, paddle boats, kayaks, playgrounds, picnic areas, primitive and RV camping and a dog park with water access for splashing and swimming. It's easy to get to and the closest camping area to the historic Charleston peninsula and Folly Beach. It's...

This campground was outstanding. When we phoned to book we were unsure if we would need 5 or 6 nights and Elizabeth very kindly pointed out that if we booked 7 nights we'd get a 30% discount...for a pop-up site (#32) this ended up saving us more than $50 and we ended up needing all 7 nights to see and...

So much to do for such a reasonable price. Water park, climbing wall, bike trails, and hiking. The park is extremely well kept and very close to downtown Charleston. Don't let the name "county park" scare you away from staying here. It is as good or better than most private campgrounds.

They had a cancellation for two campers so we were so excited. Was not disappointed. Campground was wonder. Christmas lights were AMAZING. I was so happy my hubby got to go. His first time, my second (12 yrs ago). Rode the train that was nice. Some things have changed some have not. Would definitely go again. Maybe just hubby and...
