Spent three nights at the Inn and loved it. Our room was on the top floor and still remained cool and quiet during the summer heat. How special to stay in the home of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence ! All of the staff ( Hayley, Anna, etc.) were more than helpful and met our every...

My husband and I stayed at the Governor's House Inn July 7-11 and it was one of the best stays that we have had anywhere. The service was so wonderful, all of the girls that work there are so helpful and accommodating. We loved Anna and she was even able to make a reservation at a fabulous restaurant at the...

June 22 - 24 was yet another visit to GHI, and another wonderful time. Being a native Charlestonian, when I can visit my hometown, I can't think of any place that provides the same true Charleston hospitality or character. I shan't waste words repeating my raves from previous visits, just trust a native that this is where you want to...

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here on June 20th in celebration of our 20th anniversary. The entire inn is exquisite. The decor is beautiful, the food divine, and the inn keepers full of southern hospitality at its best. Our room was the Middleton Suite on the second floor, which was very comfortable and romantic. We especially...

First class Inn with 11 rooms. Exquisite bathroom, 4 poster king bed, cozy chais and couches surround fireplace. Private Piazza with comfortable furniture and cool breezes is reached through sliding windows instead of door! Sherry, wine, desserts, and cheeses in the afternoon; breakfast is combination of savory and sweet. Very memorable stay.

My wife and I just got back from a long weekend in Charleston and stayed at the Governor's House Inn. We stayed in the Rutland Suite and it was everything we could ask for in a historic B&B. Room was charming and the staff wonderful, warm and full of spot on information about the city and restaurants. We will be...

Spent one Thursday night at the Governor's House Inn in Charleston. We were in town for a wedding in Folly beach for the weekend, but decided to spend an extra night staying in downtown Charleston so we could get the full southern experience and see the city a bit. The Inn met all our expectations. Perfect location in the city...

We spent two nights at the Governor's House Inn at the end of March. It is a warm and Inviting Inn in a great central location. We were able to walk everywhere from the time we arrived until we left. The staff was friendly and help and the breakfast, and tea was just great. The veranda is a wonderful place...

Great experience! The service was terrific as the staff was able to make our stay very enjoyable. We stayed in the Barbados room on the lower level of the main house. The large bathroom had a whirlpool tub and separate shower. It had its own sitting area and was quiet and roomy. Coffee maker and mini fridge in the room...

Nice old house on Broad St.. Walkable to Market St and the Battery. Parking in the rear. Had a second floor room with access to a HUGE covered porch. There is no mini bar/small fridge in the room. Ice is brought to your ice bucket in a small plastic bag. The ice cubes are so small you can barely grasp...
