This is such a find! The location is in the heart of the historic district only a block north of the Battery. As such, anywhere you go, you get to stroll past the stately old homes and soak in the historic atmosphere. The house was built in 1730! Just imagine the history it has seen! The house itself is full...

If you want to stay in a beautiful antebellum home just one or two blocks from Battery park, this is it. We stayed in a large lovely room that had a large outdoor piazza, we would've loved to have coffee out there if it was not so cold the whole time we were there. The only two rooms they have...

Wonderfully situated a block off White Point Gardens leading to the Battery, and in the heart of Old Charleston with its bounty of multi-storied historic homes. Homey atmosphere with rooms full of family portraits and momentos. Sufficiently modernized to accommodate your needs, but not over-worked into a modern caricature of what is a gracious Southern antebellum house. Fifteen minute walk...

I sent an email to ask for availability two days ago and was informed by Marie that they had one room available. I replied that we would like to confirm the reservation. I did not get a reply and therefore called today to make sure everything was alright with our reservation. Marie answered the phone and rarther rudely did neither...

Klaus sent me an email inquiring if I had certain dates available and I replied that I had a vacancy. I did not check my emails again until late the next day. He called early the next day wanting to know if I had reserved the room for him and that I had not responded to his email stating that...

If you're looking for a genuinely old, historic and beautiful home to enjoy during a visit to Charleston, this is it! This one antedates the Civil War, even the Revolutionary War (something like 1738), yet has been beautifully maintained over the years and especially by the longtime current residents, Marie and Emerson Read. You'll love being in a home full...

We spent two nights in this lovely, historic home with furnishings that were from the period. The stairs and banister were more beautiful than some of the homes on tour. Hot delicious biscuits and lots of fresh fruit for breakfast. Great location among many beautiful homes around it.

Our hostess was a true Charlestonian. South of Broad. Cir. 1786 or there abouts. We stayed in a king size room comfortable bed and fireplace. I believe it was B Suite. Our bath room had a claw foot tub great for soaking after a full days walk on the battery which is less than two streets away. Our hostess had...

Beautiful historic home with an easy walk to shops and restaurants downtown. My room was large and very comfortable with french doors out to a large balcony overlooking some of the beautiful gardens that Charleston is renowned for. Mrs Reid was very charming and helpful and provided an interesting history lesson on the home and area. I have recommended Lamboll...

I spent two nights at this lovely bed and breakfast in the historic district. It's a great location and we loved the free parking and the large balcony directly off our room. Hosts were very welcoming and everyone had a great time!

I usually love B&Bs...this is an exception. When we arrived, my husband went through a side door which lead to the dining room and met Mrs. Read, and was told to come around to the front door and meet her again. She told him no one was allowed to go through the side door, which in my opinion should be...
