I sent an email to ask for availability two days ago and was informed by Marie that they had one room available. I replied that we would like to confirm the reservation. I did not get a reply and therefore called today to make sure everything was alright with our reservation. Marie answered the phone and rarther rudely did neither... More

Klaus sent me an email inquiring if I had certain dates available and I replied that I had a vacancy. I did not check my emails again until late the next day. He called early the next day wanting to know if I had reserved the room for him and that I had not responded to his email stating that... More

If you're looking for a genuinely old, historic and beautiful home to enjoy during a visit to Charleston, this is it! This one antedates the Civil War, even the Revolutionary War (something like 1738), yet has been beautifully maintained over the years and especially by the longtime current residents, Marie and Emerson Read. You'll love being in a home full... More

We spent two nights in this lovely, historic home with furnishings that were from the period. The stairs and banister were more beautiful than some of the homes on tour. Hot delicious biscuits and lots of fresh fruit for breakfast. Great location among many beautiful homes around it.

Our hostess was a true Charlestonian. South of Broad. Cir. 1786 or there abouts. We stayed in a king size room comfortable bed and fireplace. I believe it was B Suite. Our bath room had a claw foot tub great for soaking after a full days walk on the battery which is less than two streets away. Our hostess had... More

Beautiful historic home with an easy walk to shops and restaurants downtown. My room was large and very comfortable with french doors out to a large balcony overlooking some of the beautiful gardens that Charleston is renowned for. Mrs Reid was very charming and helpful and provided an interesting history lesson on the home and area. I have recommended Lamboll... More

I spent two nights at this lovely bed and breakfast in the historic district. It's a great location and we loved the free parking and the large balcony directly off our room. Hosts were very welcoming and everyone had a great time!

I usually love B&Bs...this is an exception. When we arrived, my husband went through a side door which lead to the dining room and met Mrs. Read, and was told to come around to the front door and meet her again. She told him no one was allowed to go through the side door, which in my opinion should be... More

Spent four days at this B&B with my college-aged daughter and my sister. The location for this accommodation is wonderful -- we walked everywhere-- theatre, shopping, restaurants. Marie had helpful recommendations as to where to sight-see and eat. There was also parking available which made coming and going a breeze. Bed was very comfortable...and best of all, both rooms have... More

What a very special old restored home that is more than 275 years old. We had a beautiful, spacious room on the third floor with two queen beds. The veranda is located just outside the bedroom and is a lovely place to relax. The location is fabulous, close to excellent shopping on King St as well as multiple restaurants. Marie... More
