My friend and I stayed for one night in July. The Inn is okay, but not worth the price we paid. The breakfast was not home made (frozen hash browns, microwaved bacon). With so many delicious places to eat in Charleston, I would skip it. The beds were comfortable and the space charming.

We had a loved one in a Charleston hospital and needed a room for the night. It was the 4th of July and every hotel/inn was booked. Terry (the Innkeeper) was so kind and understanding of our need - he instantly opened his inn for the night. We were able to have a good nights sleep and warm shower. Early... More

I am a fellow InnKeeper in Sea Isle City, NJ. Our daughter is a student at The College of Charleston and a member of the Cross Country/Track team for the Cougars. My husband and I were traveling to see a meet and we weren't sure where we were going to stay. We contacted the Marriott properties, but decided to check... More

Friendly, welcoming staff, great location for the town, comfortable, perfect for our needs. Bathroom a little cramped and parking not a problem for us but could have been as limited space available. Room 6 just rather nosy through the night, lots of people walking loudly past and traffic noise. However, if we visited Charleston again would we stay there? The... More

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at KGIV for an anniversary getaway trip. From the moment we checked in, Charlene (house manager) made us feel right at home. The room (1B) was surprisingly large, with a generous sitting area and private bath. Although the room was at street level and next to the breakfast room, noise was minimal... More

We spent three nights in this charming Inn, that was built in 1790. Gorgeous antique furnishings in each room. Uneven, creaky floors and doors that wouldn't stay shut added to the ambiance. When asking Terry the host about the ghost tours in town he replied "We needn't do that as the Inn has a ghost. Infact it had been in... More

This was such a perfect place to stay because the location was perfect. We walked everywhere and didn't have to move our car until we left Charleston. The owners were very accommodating, they shared the history at breakfast and it was completely affordable with large rooms!

This was my second time staying at this beautiful and friendly B & B. For a C of C college visit you can't beat the location. Plus, the close proximity to downtown Charleston and the famous King Street shopping can't be beat! The rooms were clean and beautifully appointed. Plus, the beds were very comfortable. The Innkeepers were warm and... More

We lucked out when we found a room at this lovely-but-small B&B in the historic older section of Charlston. Free parking and a terrific home-cooked buffett breakfast were included. Charlene, the very friendly and competent on-site manager/hostess/cook couldn't have made us feel more welcome! And when she wasn't around on the weekend, the owner was also very friendly and helpful...and... More

What a perfect place to stay in Charleston! The George IV is the best. It's location is very central so that almost everything in Charleston is walkable as long as you are used to walking. We paid $179 per night for weekdays and $200 for weekend nights- much more reasonable than for the other historic (this one is circa 1790)... More
