A romantic hideaway in America’s most enchanting city, The Fulton Lane Inn is private, intimate and exceptionally accommodating. The Fulton Lane Inn surrounds you with the comfort and gracious ambiance of a bygone era. Many of our spacious rooms feature oversized whirlpool baths and luxurious canopied beds, draped with hand strung netting. Other rooms boast cathedral ceilings and several offer fireplaces.Throughout, soaring windows frame captivating vistas of the city's historic skyline, punctuated with the many trademark church spires. The charm and spirit of the Old South live on in this historic inn, built by the family of Confederate blockade runner John Rugheimer. Regarded as the most sophisticated city in America, antebellum Charleston was the cradle of Southern gentility. The proper Charleston home then welcomed summer's casual pace by covering formal furnishings in airy muslin, replacing wool carpets with sisal, and positioning shutters to admit fresh breezes and to provide gentle shade. At the Fulton Lane Inn, that spirit has been beautifully recaptured. Here, light filters softly through louvered shades, casting an inviting glow on lush plants. The patina of fine woods, natural textures and soft pastels invite you to indulge in the simple pleasures of a more gracious time. During your stay, you'll be pampered with complimentary continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning. Our traditional Southern hospitality continues with sherry in the lobby each evening. Of course, our concierge is always at hand to attend to your every need. You're just a mere stroll from the famous harbor, historic homes and attractions. The Fulton Lane Inn is situated just off King Street, tucked away on a pedestrian lane in the heart of the city's famous historic district. The inn is literally surrounded by countless fascinating boutiques, scores of antique shops and elegant restaurants. There are countless ways to enjoy the Fulton Lane Inn.

This is the BEST kept secret in Charleston. We LOVED it. Very clean, a very well maintained hotel. The staff is EXCELLENT, very personable and attentive. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is in the best location walking distance to everything. The free secure parking is a big plus. Lots of amentitiies and extras you don’t get at the bigger hotels. We were so impressed and had the best time and Fulton Lane Inn helped make our trip even better. I will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend it.

Neat, clean rooms close to everything in Charleston. It is an older hotel that has been maintained very well. The best part of our stay was the friendliness and courtesy of the staff! I don't want to leave anyone out, because they were all wonderful, but I did pick up cards with three names on them and Andrew, Ryenne and Susu were all great. Wonderful attention to details and all had a marvelous sense of humor. Thanks to the Staff and the owners of this very fine hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Sincerely, Jim and Robin Langley, Streetsboro, Ohio

We spent 4 nights there for our anniversary and I can't say enough about how great the staff was. The front desk people were very helpful with good restaurants and things to see. And everything was walking distance. Right in the middle of downtown Charleston. And our room was beautifull. We got the king petite suite. You can't go wrong at this hotel.

A family member and I stayed at Fulton Lane mainly because of location, and it is truly a great location. What we didn't know is that they have a few other "sister" properties, one of which was next door. I was expecting a B & B "old home" etc in Charleston, but found that they have a 3 story building and a very small lobby. So the wine and cheese at 5pm is at the next door property, which was great and we enjoyed it. The staff was very accomodating. The room was beautiful, even though the windows overlooked the parking lot, there were lots of trees and light! I do believe that the mattresses need to be updated both myself and my family member slept ok, but had a few issues in the morning rolling out of bed. So happy they had parking right behind the building! That is a plus!
