The staff was the best and so kind .they set up a lovely dinner for us on one of their balcony’s because we had our small dog with us and could not go in the restaurant with her. They went way out of their way to have the lighting be soft and had music to dine by.It was the best!!!
From the moment you arrive, you are treated as honored guests. We stayed four nights and savored the experience -- from the entire staff who made us feel welcome, answered all our questions about the history of the mansion, fed us wine and appetizers at five every day, and arranged for a pedicab to the amazing full breakfasts at the companion restaurant Circa 1886, everything met expectations, including the chocolates on the pillow each night. Nothing was left to chance. The unusual warm weather meant the gardens were in bloom, which meant a car covered thickly in pollen and a trip to the car wash before we left! Yes, we'd gladly stay there again.
Wentworth Mansion - My wife and I stayed here before, and this time we will stay for four nights in this fabulous property. It is ideally located in the historical section and close to every attraction we wanted to see. The hotel only has 21 rooms, and each one is unique. We were made to feel like royalty from the moment we checked in. I cannot say enough about the concierge staff; Jenny Severs was our (sweet) young lady who helped us. We explained that we were bringing a group, and she helped set up rooms and advised us on some of the best shopping in town. (843-720-2949)
Kris and the staff are the best I have been to many Inns and hotels I would highly recommend anyone going to Charleston to make this your spot you wont be disappointed. It truly made our special occasion one that we will never forget. Will be back soon.
The Wentworth is beautiful! The room was so amazing and very comfortable! We loved the Spa and the beautiful restaurant! The staff are friendly and they go overboard to be sure everything is perfect!
Wentworth Mansion is our go to place when we need to stay in Charleston, which is at least 3 times a year for medical visits to MUSC. The location is perfect for MUSC and shopping on King Street. The staff is attentive. Rooms are well appointed. The food at Circa 1886 is outstanding. Evening happy hour is a great way to meet other guests. I highly recommend WM.
From the greeting on the street the moment we drove up to the final loading of luggage, no opportunity was missed by the staff to make our stay memorable. The location is quiet and peaceful with outstanding restaurants and historical sites within walking distance. This family owned luxury hotel provides a cultural experience that is not possible at comparable hotels owned by corporations. Thanks so much, inn keeper, Kris and staff for an authentic southern experience embellished with outstanding southern hospitality
This hotel was perfect! The room was spacious with a sitting area near the fireplace, a day bed near the window, and a huge bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. Every day late in the afternoon they put out wine and appetizers and had beautiful area where you could sit and talk with other guests. Breakfast was not just free, it was fabulous! There is also free valet parking. This hotel sits a few streets from the more busy downtown area, which was exactly what we wanted: a quiet and peaceful stay while still in walking distance from restaurants. The hotel staff was not just polite, but they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, even sharing history of the city and their favorite places to visit. While you are here you have to take a trip up to the roof for panoramic views of the city and dine at Circa 1886. Incredible!…
To start, on our journey from Orlando to th property, we decided to call and check if EV parking existed. There was one spot for EV and they had placed a cone so it was available for us when we arrived! Outstanding service, Bell men Mark and Elijah met us at the car and the checkin was fast and easy! Great staff, outstanding property, definitely will exceed any category 7 hotel that's out there. Kris is a great GM, touches like wine and cheese, chocolates, brandy and breakfast make it remarkable. The history around the mansion is also interesting. As a frequent traveler (200 nights per year) Globalist with Hyatt, Diamond with Hilton , lifetime Titanium with Bonvoy - I see hundreds of hotels - this is a top tier hotel and we were very pleased. Globalist should note that although this property is associated with Hyatt, certain things like prearranged Suite upgrades and possibly 4pm checkout might not be accommodated. ( We would say our room was exceptional - fireplace, beddings, stocked refrigerator, bathroom with whirlpool tub and shower ( certainly a suite) All other benefits were also exceeded.…
This was our third stay at the Wentworth Mansion. Can't say enough about the staff and the mansion. We stayed in Room 19 and so far that is our favorite! You will be treated like royalty here. Highly recommend checking out the experiences offered. My husband and I booked "Secrets of the Sommelier" and it didn't disappoint. John was so knowlegable about wine and help to give us more knowledge also. Dinner at Circa 1886 is a must! The new tasting menus with or without wine pairings really knocked it out of the park!
