We stayed at the Vendue on the spur of the moment after a trip to the outer banks. We loved all of the art work. Our queen room was small but smashingly decorated and comfortable with a wonderful bathroom. We also loved the Revival restaurant. The front desk less lobby was interesting. We would definitely stay here again. The location is superb.
The location, amenities, staff, hospitality, services, grounds, price, and restaurant were all exceptional. I highly recommend this stay. My first time to Charleston in 30 years, and this stay made the trip amongst the best of my many travels. First, it's close to everything. Second, the niche art attraction is fun and fulfilling. Third, the bar, restaurant, and rooftop are second to none. The rooms were spacious. The fireplace gave great romance and ambiance, the staff are helpful and friendly. The costs are reasonable. It was just fantastic.
We stayed at the Vendue for three nights and would come back in a heartbeat. The staff goes over the top to tend to any needs you might have. From being contacted by Laurel before we got their and Pietro answering any questions it is top notch. Please eat at Revival I guarantee you will have an excellent meal!! The rooftop bar is so much fun and the staff make you feel at home. The art is pretty spectacular too!! Thank you Vendue for a great weekend!!!
AMAZING STAFF! We have traveled all over the world and we would never experience a staff as accommodating, nice and amazing is this staff at the hotel, other than the Sandals resort! Everybody went above and beyond for us from the moment we walk in the door! They put our champagne on ice and when it was time for us to drink it, the provided glasses for us. We never had to touch a door because the staff was right there. I needed a fan to sleep, and they were there in seconds with one. Housekeeping is amazing (we are messing people). They cleaned our room spotless each day. The cookies in our room were amazing, the breakfast croissants are to die for and the evening cookies are delicious! The whole place is incredible, clean, Gorgeous.
The decor is super cool. I enjoyed the art work and foyer. The staff hands down is the best on customer service. Chastity and Cole a special thank you! Honestly, everyone is top notch. The rooftop bar is also very nice. The location is perfect. We could walk to everything. Complimentary wine is served from 4 to 5 daily, cookies and milk from 9 to 10 pm and a complimentary breakfast is left on your door in the morning. It’s an assortment of fruit, muffins and croissants. Also, complimentary bikes are provided. A couple of things could be improved. One, the music in the lobby could be heard on the 2nd floor. It did wake us up. Second, the safes in the rooms do not hold a full size laptop and they are not secured to any surface. They are light and can be carried off. If these 2 issues are addressed I would give this hotel a plus 10 rating on a 1 to 10 scale. It’s still a very unique hotel with excellent customer service.…
Was my first time visit to Charleston and I would definitely recommend The Vendue. Great location, walkable to everything. Comfortable bed, great staff, really fantastic roof top bar!!!! Definitely would stay again!!
My wife and a few friends spent the weekend at The Vendue in Charleston. We loved the rooms, the staff was amazing, everything about the stay was excellent. You are in the best area of Charleston. The Rooftop was great place to relax and plan your next place to go in the area. I would really like to thank everyone at The Vendue that helped create memories that will last a long time.
Stupendous Customer Services! I had a photo shoot at this beautiful hotel last month. Called to speak with a manager. Greg went beyond to accommodate all of my needs for that date. All the staffs are very friendly. Overall, it’s a must to have your vacation at Vendue. Greg you rock :).
I booked this property because of all the good reviews I read on TA. And it was a very hip hotel with a unique lobby/art gallery. I would have given this property 5 stars if it wasn’t for the room I stayed in. First the Positive: Staff was attentive and friendly. The art gallery has some fun pieces and one of the employees is there to give guided tours. The wine happy hour was nice and the rooftop bar is a very popular spot. The location is good with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The Negative: I paid $482.22/night (including taxes and destination fee). I am an experienced traveler and for that price, I expected WAY more luxury/quality in a room. Problems encountered with the room were weak Wi-Fi the entire stay. The last night the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. TV only worked on a few channels. Not sure if it was a weak cable connection or the tv needed repair. Mildew on the tiles in the shower. Barely enough room on the sink vanity for 2 people to put toiletries. Ceiling panels near sink were rusted and could visible see water damage. Luggage racks were an odd shape which didn’t work for our suitcases. We ended up putting them on the floor. Hair dryer didn’t work. Had to call for another one to be brought to our room. Upon check-in the safe wasn’t ready to use. Had to call maintenance to come fix. Walls were thin. I could hear the quest next door snoring. When I checked out with Chastity and discussed all these issues with her - she promised me a refund. What I rec'd was a refund of $114.00 (which is such a random number I don’t know how it was calculated). Corrado Palenzona (GM of property) emailed me to say $114 was the only credit I was getting. That’s not even half of what I paid nightly or even 1 nights credit. I don’t recommend this hotel. Better off just visiting the rooftop bar and art gallery and staying at the HarbourView Inn nearby.…
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on vacation. The hotel and staff were 5 stars all the way. Light breakfast delivered to your room every day. Art and wine reception every afternoon and cookies and milk every night. They put a small fridge in our room at no extra charge and there was a stocked kuerig as well. It’s in an excellent location. Walking distance to all the great restaurants. I can’t say enough good things about it. Shout out to Luke,Cole and Chastity for their outstanding service. Don’t forget the rooftop for light bites and drinks. You won’t be sorry.
