The hostesses both for the afternoon refreshments and the breakfasts were very friendly, attentive and pleasant to be with. Room was ready when we arrived. Help was offered with our bags, but not needed. Room was very quiet. We will be back!
The room was exceptional and quite comfortable (great bed and quiet) , the breakfast and wine & cheese reception delicious (thanks Yvonne), and the valet quite friendly. The housekeeping staff smiling and helpful. Unfortunately, the first impression was not good. The two people at check-in acted disinterested and almost put-out when we arrived. The gentleman that checked us in did not even stand up to greet us. The young lady in particular was a real downer. First impressions do tend to stay with you and took away from an excellent hotel.
My husband and I stayed here four nights and found it to be wonderful in many ways. First, the rooms are clean, spacious and quiet. The breakfast offered each morning was delicious with several main hot dishes offered such as quiche and frittatas. The pastries were also fresh and flavorful. Each evening from 4-5 pm they offered free wine and appetizers up in the breakfast room on the fourth floor with great views of the city. It was a nice way to meet fellow travelers. The best part about the Inn is its' location in the historic district. You can easily walk to all the sights and many restaurants and shops. One block away is the City Mart which is a five block outdoor shopping mall. Horse-drawn carriages meander the streets around the Inn adding to the charm. (A hint: the front desk has warm, homemade cookies every day for your enjoyment!) We would definitely stay here again.…
The hotel is really nice with the decor being a very high standard. The breakfast room looks out over Charleston and the food was excellent with lots of choice and fresh fruit. The afternoon cheese wine is also excellent with the staff being lovely. My only comments are the lady on reception couldn’t be bothered to get up and get us a decaf tea bag and just wasn’t interested. Also the hotel makes out it doesn’t have parking but valet parking. But it does have a big car park and you are paying $26 for them parking your car when you could have parked it yourself. I have not marked the hotel down for this as we really enjoyed our stay and the hotel is in an excellent location for Charleston.
We can’t say enough about our stay at the Andrew Pinckney Inn. Great room, most kind staff that went above and beyond to make for a wonderful anniversary getaway. Our first stay but we will return and share this jewel of a property with our friends and family.
Great location, in historic district 1 block from market. Terrific restaurants very close. Delicious breakfasts, happy hour wine and snacks. Attractive rooms with nice amenities. Convenient valet parking, cheaper than the lot across the street. An overall excellent stay. I'd stay here again
The Andrew Pinckney turned out to be an excellent choice for our stay in Charleston. The location is right in the downtown, historic area. Our Junior Suite room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed a relaxing night’s sleep in a beautiful bed. Breakfast in the solarium was bountiful and fit the description of an “expanded continental” breakfast. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Recommended!
We were booked on a cruise and decided to stay at the Pinckney Inn for 2 nights. Absolutely loved the inn and truly enjoyed our stay. The evening reception was wonderful and the 2 ladies that hosted were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was nice, but lacked healthy choices like oatmeal. But still very nice. If you are on a cruise and literally want to be in the heart of historic Charleston and minutes from the cruise port, we highly recommend this quaint and beautiful inn.
From checking to checkout everything was excellent. The staff was pleasant and efficient, the room was clean and well appointed, the complimentary afternoon wine and cheese was delicious as was the lavish breakfast. This boutique hotel is a ten star plus.
The hotel was small and quant. If you are looking for large rooms and food service, this is not your place. If you are looking for quiet rooms close to everything, with a really nice breakfast buffet and an afternoon wine and cheese reception, this is your place. The service was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely go back and definitely recommend the hotel. They also had fresh baked cookies every afternoon, which my husband loved!!
