Bruce and Katherine were amazing and their home was beautiful. From the moment we drove up it looked like it came straight out of a magazine. Bruce greeted us at the door and poured our social hour wine. Our room was very clean and lovely. In the morning Katherine's breakfast was wonderful...better than any other restaurant. After breakfast Bruce gave us a marked map and gave us all the town highlights. We had a very realaxing time and enjoyed our time walking the streets and visiting all the historical markers. WOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bloomsbury. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is excellent, the home is beautifully decorated, and the hosts are very warm and friendly. The very wide porch around the house makes for a cozy place to sit and read or enjoy an evening thunderstorm, as my wife and I did one night after dinner. And be sure to have Bruce tell you about the history of Mary Chesnut and the home. It is really very interesting!

Room Tip: We elected to stay in the Mary Chesnut room, because she was a famous diarist of the Civil War.

Our little city, Camden SC, is so history-rich -- we are glad you enjoyed Bruce's story about Bloomsbury and Mary Boykin Chesnut. Finally, our early evening temps (below 85) is encouraging everyone to take in some fresh air, to enjoy that wide and long (700 sq ft) porch. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with other travelers...of course, we love your comments, but they gain so much from hearing from others.

The owners are such wonderful hosts. Their antiques and China collections are gorgeous, and this historical home is beautiful. Breakfast was amazing, and the wine in the evening and the stories of the B&B made our stay so memorable. The attention to detail is definitely 5-star. Can’t wait to return.

OK, you nailed it -- Katherine has a passion for china, antiques, all things pretty. Her constant comment, "Please sign on to help dust all these!" Thank you so much for sharing your experience with others. During our current times, it is so important to us for everyone to enjoy themselves and to feel safe. Likewise, we can't wait for you to return. Safe travels.

We were visiting Camden on a tour of Revolutionary war sites and chose Bloomsbury Inn to stay a couple of nights. We found the perfect spot. The rooms were spacious and well appointed with amenities. The rose petals on the bed and chocolates were a nice addition for the birthday celebration. Breakfast was outstanding as was the cocktail hour. The history lessons and the time Bruce spent with us really made the trip special. We sincerely appreciated their Covid protocols. We will be back.

To attend a birthday party in Camden, we found the Bloomsbury Inn for a two night stay. We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations, friendliness and attention of Bruce and Katherine (Innkeepers) with their attention to detail, and quality and experience of the afternoon socials and morning breakfasts. The history of the Inn as provided by Bruce was exceptional. This stay turned out to feel like home with a step back in time.
