Janet and Steve were wonderful hosts and the Inn is absolutely gorgeous! The historic mansion is beautifully restored and offers the warmth and comfort of the epitome of Southern hospitality. Our gourmet breakfast and evening swim was the icing on the cake.
This is my second visit to Four Oaks! My granddaughter loved the room, so cozy, the pool was nice with tiki touches lit. A perfect backdrop for photos! Food was delicious! Janet and Steve are awesome hosts! I will be back, Sharon M
What a beautiful, clean, historic Southern Classic property. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Very quiet and dark at night. Got great sleep while there. Janet and Steve are fantastic hosts....everything from the sip of Cherry Bounce Cordial upon arrival to the amazing breakfast and service every morning!
My husband and I stayed at the Four Oaks Inn over Labor Day weekend. This inn is amazingly beautiful. The entire inn has been totally renovated and updated with beautiful common rooms, bedrooms and spa style bathrooms. Decorated in a New Southern Classic style, the rooms are both comfortable and charming and no detail was left undone. I could have spent an entire afternoon browsing the book collection in the Living Room. The Inn is situated on a beautiful lot in a walkable historic neighborhood close to downtown. Janet and Steve are wonderful hosts ( and cooks) who helped us plan out our time while visiting Camden. When the warm chocolate chip cookies are put out in the upstairs refreshment area make sure you grab one. They were the BEST we have ever had. Breakfast was first class as well with a scrumptious multi course dining experience. Thank you Janet and Steve for a lovely stay. We will be back.…
Really enjoyed our stop over with Steve and Janet. Everything was wonderful! The Cherry Bounce Cordial on arrival, my birthday flowers and champagne, warm cookies and snacks, taking luggage up to our room, the room with beautiful furniture and a fabulous porch with such comfy chairs, the scrumptious candlelight breakfast…. The attention to detail was phenomenal. We are eager to visit again. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you Janet and Steve!
What an absolutely lovely Inn and overall experience. Janet and Steve could not be better hosts and the Inn is beautiful. We stayed in the Steeplechase Room. It was enormous, very well appointed, very clean, and newly updated. Walk in shower and large bathroom overall with large tub. Huge, comfy bed. Great little deck. The food they made was delicious! Homemade cookies during the day and fantastic breakfast in the morning. We stay at boutique hotels all over the world and this is one of the most unique overall. Absolutely recommend!! Especially in Camden where there are very limited options as well.
The Four Oaks Inn is elegant and charming yet comfortable and relaxing. Janet and Steve live out true Southern hospitality. Their attention to detail is flawless. They have successfully managed to provide historical decor with a balance of modern, comfortable conveniences. Our time there was incredible and we will return for other retreats in the future. Thank you Janet and Steve for providing an atmosphere for David to feel pampered and celebrated for his 60th birthday.
This is truly one of best inns in South Carolina - if not the country. The Inn is an antebellum home that has been extensively renovated and is in a quiet neighborhood with similar type of homes. The innkeepers, Janet and Steve, have thought about almost every amenity such as individual thermostats in every room and a recharger with several USB ports for your electrical devices. Instead of an ugly black flat screen television hanging on the wall, the television sets are hidden in a cabinet which raises via a remote control. The beds are extremely comfortable and the towels in the bathroom are of the highest quality. Every breakfast offers some unique dish such as, on one day, a shoofly scone. (It is a take-off on the Pennsylvania Dutch shoo-fly pie, but very moist.) Every guest raved about it! And, the breakfast is served in a candle light setting. Having never been to Camden, we found it to be a pleasant small southern town with an interesting history. There were sufficient things to do including visiting the Revolutionary War museum and, of course, shopping. In summary, stay at Four Oaks Inn was truly relaxing and well worth a visit.…
Janet and Steve have created the most beautiful inn, with charming hospitality and a delicious breakfast. We would seriously recommend visiting Four Oaks Inn, and would love to come back. We visited the National Steeplechase Museum and had a fascinating tour of the museum, would love to come back and meet the horses!
Our stay at the Four Oaks Inn was truly outstanding. We felt pampered and special during our visit thanks for Janet and Steve. We stayed in the Steeplechase Room which was beautifully furnished and included a fireplace and lovely private balcony. The size of the room was also generous as was the beautifully appointed bathroom with both a claw foot tub and a walk in shower. We were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast each morning which was served in the lovely dining room. It was a very special weekend thanks to Janet and Steve. We highly recommend this lovely Inn in Camden, SC for your next visit to the area. This is truly a special place.
