The Rhett House Inn was fabulous! The staff, especially Debbie was wonderful! She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect! Also John, the owners’ son came by to see if there was anything he could do to make our stay even better. He gave us recommendations on things we could while in Beaufort. If you are looking for a place to stay look no further!

Beautiful house, very good location within walking distance to the main street in town, nice, historic neighborhood. That’s where the good things end. This is our second stay at Rhett House Inn. Rooms are shabby and while they look clean at a glance, when you look closely they are not clean. Ceiling fan blades were covered in a layer of dust, baseboards were dirty, vents were dusty. Attention to detail is not paid. Service was ok. Some staff were friendly, others were not. Breakfast was basic and pretty good, but nothing interesting about it. When we were there they were out of bacon, ham, and hash browns. I understand shortages due to the pandemic, but I haven’t heard of a bacon, ham, or potato shortage. Breakfast staff seemed confused and was not apologetic in the least about not being able to offer all menu items. Also disappointing was that evening cocktail service and dessert service was suspended. I’m sure they could have figured out a way to offer dessert without increasing risk. Overall those things aren’t a big deal, but they certainly didn’t adjust their nightly fee to account for these things. We also noticed a $25 service charge on our bill after it was emailed to us after check out. Really?? It wasn’t noted anywhere when we received the email confirmation, but after I saw it on the bill I did find it on a page on their website. I think it’s rather sneaky to add this without disclosing it up front when the reservation is made and price is quoted. It was supposedly added for staff tips but I left a tip for housekeeping in my room and I left a tip at breakfast. I noticed others left tips on the breakfast tables as well. I would not go back.

Very comfortable accommodations, friendly and helpful staff. Fresh blueberry pancakes and good coffee served every morning - In fact the best blueberry pancakes in Beaufort! Two blocks from the waterfront, shopping and restaurants. Spring in Beaufort is the best.

My family stayed at the Rhett House Inn for a night. Since there were three of us we got one of the rooms with two beds which was located in the basement. The basement room had a bit of a musty odor present which I didn’t smell upstairs. The room felt clean for the most part but the blinds and AC window unit were dingy. Our room had a screen door and looked out on the courtyard. That was unique and charming. Unfortunately, my bed was worn out and sunk in the middle so all night long I was fighting my way out of that pit. The walls are thin and you can hear everyone walking above very clearly. It was quiet between 9:30 pm and 6:30 am but I was woken up by someone walking across the floor above me at 6:30 am. We waited until almost 8 to go up for breakfast since we were told breakfast started at 8 but evidently they started serving people at 7:00. I wish I’d known that since an earlier breakfast would have meant that we could have hit the road earlier. Breakfast was awesome. We had eggs, bacon, biscuits, grits, pancakes and OJ. The dining room was cute and I enjoyed eating there but I would have loved to eat outside on the porch. They weren’t serving breakfast out there on that particular day though. All of the staff that we encountered were very pleasant.
