The most outstanding hospitality I’ve experienced in 2022 across a dozen trips. The ladies at the Rhett House Inn truly know how to make you feel welcome. The Inn is stunning—beautiful in a way that makes you want to take it all in—and the floor’s charmingly creaky and the decor like something out of a magazine. The food is great and if you skip the pie you will regret it for the rest of your days. (Calories don’t count on vacation and the key lime is divine.) This short visit and the way the welcomed me guarantees that I will return.

We had really nice quiet stay we stayed in Room 15 it’s across the street from the main house, we had a screen porch it’s was so relaxing. The breakfast was really good the staff is very accommodating. Mimi, Jennifer and John could not have been nicer. There is a small snack at 5 and you can buy wine and relax on the beautiful front porch. My husband loved the evening dessert too. It was everything we hoped it would be for my 62nd birthday! Thank you Rhett House Inn

Our room wasn’t ready at check in. We were told we could go into town and they would call us. One hour later we were given a key with no apologies. Breakfast took 2 hrs the first morning, 1 1/2 hours second morning and we decided the third morning was not worth the trouble so we skipped it. Food was bland and basic and we had to ask for silverware, napkin, butter, jelly. (More than one time) Cook and wait staff were arguing among themselves and in front of guests. All female staff ( 4 different ones)at check in and check out never once smiled, said good morning, welcome back, how was your day, asked if we needed anything or offered to help. When we were leaving we handed her the key and all she said was “thanks”. John (said the inn belonged in his family) came by at breakfast to tell us what we needed to do for the day as he moved around from table to table. We had our day planned with dinner reservations (and told him so) but he still gave us his rundown. Guess his routine was so rote that he didn’t realize he had met us the morning before and we had to listen to his same speech again second morning while our food grew cold. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The location lovely and close to the waterfront and several restaurants. We did not have to drive anywhere. But overall...the staff acted very unprofessional, unfriendly, and it was evident they had no heart for their jobs. Will I return to Beaufort yes...stay at The Rhett House Inn...no.

My wife and I were honoured to stay in this amazing bed and breakfast for the first time in seven years. And once again, it did not disappoint. We travel a lot. This is truly a diamond property. The hosts are terrific. The rooms are charming. The grounds immaculate. The breakfast was tasty. We even love Beaufort. The Town and the people are so charming. We can envision moving down here for a few months one day. We can’t wait to come back to the Rhett.

We only can give it 3 stars but I still recommend a stay (for one night). It is only 3 stars because of the value in comparison to the costs. The positives: most of the staff were friendly, the breakfast was delicious (although a fruit option is needed), the beds are comfortable, it is walking distance to restaurants, shops and waterfront. The negatives: the evening appetizers and deserts were disappointing. We saw several posts from the inn with signature cocktails but none were severed the four days we were there (we were only offered wine one of the days). Coffee is not ready until 7:30 and sometimes it isn’t ready until 8:00. The inn is beautiful but like all historic inns it needs constant upkeep. We enjoyed room 7 but be advised all the rooms require many stairs. Some of the stairs are uneven and would be very difficult for anyone with any mobility issues.

I wanted to make our 30th wedding anniversary a very special time for us. And I can tell you that the owner and staff went out of their way to make it so. From the very best accommodations, service and friendliness. Helpful in what to see in the area, and suggestions on the best restaurants. The Inn is located in the heart of the Historic district, very close to the water front and shopping. We were able to walk and leserly enjoy all the old homes and historic sites. They have a very good breakfast each morning, snacks and refreshments during the day. And in the evening, you will enjoy some of the very best pie! I am 65, self employed. I work hard, and I don't take a lot of time off. But the Rhett House Inn, and the people there, made it worth doing. We had the very best 5 days of anywhere we have been. We look forward to our next stay. The place is special to us, and I am sure they will make it special for you too.

What a beautiful property! The owner and staff are wonderful…very accommodating and friendly. They make you feel right at home. The breakfast is great, and again, the staff is so friendly. We stayed in Room 7 this time, very spacious room with two queen beds. This room has a private garden entrance which is nice. Will be back soon!

We called at 6 PM after an impromptu stop at the Beaufort airport, and Margo was great! Our room was on the second floor across from the famous Anglican church with the graveyard. Our room was quaint, and my 12-year-old daughter loved the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The breakfast was great, and we loved the breakfast crew. It was a bit pricey, and I actually agree with some of the other posts about the taxes and fees but it is what it is....

My wife Christie and I were in town for the Beaufort Int. Film Festival and stayed at this amazing B&B. Where do I start. Loved the breakfast. The french toast was a particular standout for me, but Christie loved the pancakes and the poached eggs were also always cooked to perfection. John keeps such a warm and friendly atmosphere, stopping by each morning to say hi. His staff were so accommodating and the room, #4, was beautiful, and the bed so very comfortable. Fun treats were left out and Friday, there was a happy hour. We were there for almost a week, but it truly felt like home. Highly recommend! Can't wait to make another film so we can return.

Two teachers on a mission; to relax. A mother and daughter weekend at the best place possible! The crackling fire in the parlor and memories from yesterday that possess a hint of Southern ambiance…this visit was perfect! We stayed in Barbara Streisand’s room and untangled the endless stressors of life. Aimee made our visit superior with her warm, genuine and doting expertise as hostess. This visit was a treasured memory. We will be back each time we are in Beaufort!
