We love the Rhett House Inn. This was our second visit. We reserved 3 rooms in the Cottage House. The screened porch in Room 15 was perfect for all 6 of us to enjoy a birthday toast glass of wine. We especially thank Miss Yolanda for serving us such a yummy breakfast. Our two 5 year old granddaughters loved her. She was so kind. We can’t wait to return and enjoy more of the Rhett House hospitality. 😍
A wonderful experience in a beautiful location. Our stay was more than expected from reading the previous reviews. I decided to call the Inn and ask what effect Covid was having on the service and accommodations. I had a great conversation with Beverly and she helped us decide on a room and explained what was and was not available due to the restrictions at this time. We arrived early but was able to get in our charming room #12. The room was spacious and clean, well decorated and full of character. Breakfast on Saturday was a delicious egg and bacon sandwhich served in the dining room. Sunday's breakfast was the best pancakes I have ever had along with cheese grits, bacon and orange juice, coffee. The porches were beautiful and the grounds well kept, bikes to borrow and the staff helpful and friendly. We can't wait to go back! …
Booked 3 nights in mid-December on November 24th directly via the website - fully refundable. Had to cancel on November 28th and got cancellation notice. Opened Amex on December 26 - one night charge ($384) on bill, but no credit. Call the Inn. Spoke to a sweet young lady - basically said all refunds are handled by the owner; they are doing their best to get to refunds; and that's all she could do other than pass my name/number along for them to contact me. I think a month is more than enough time for a credit to be processed; lord knows, it's not busy in Beaufort in December normally, let alone with Covid and travel restrictions. Had to dispute the charge via AMEX. Times might be tough but it's not kosher to bill people and not refund when all refund guidelines have been met.…
We were looking for a special place to celebrate our anniversary; and we found it. This historic Inn had a lovely front room and dining room. The front room was so inviting, I enjoyed the fire in the fireplace. We checked into our room, the decor was historic and comfortable. Four of the most noticed south hospitality qualities offered at this inn were, the excellent southern hospitality we received from kind staff, the delicious and inviting breakfasts, the evening wine & cheese in the front room and the desserts at night time offered in the cozy kitchen where we met other lovely guests. The location was great within walking distance to many local historical attractions. We highly recommend this Inn!
Like the previous reviewer we had to change plans and went from 3 nights to 2 and they had already fully charged us prior to the stay (who does that?) We requested a refund (several weeks before our stay) and still have yet to receive it. The lady at the front desk seemed confused and made up excuses. When we did stay for the 2 nights the room was dirty, the furniture old and moldy and the beds uncomfortable. Not sure but I highly doubt the room was fully sanitized for Covid. We paid for a 4 star experience and got a 1 star stay. There are several other more desirable properties in the area.
