An end of the road kind of place. We've been coming here for years. We try to alternate our SC camping trips between here & Huntington Beach SP, our other favorite beach camping place. The beach is wide with sand hard enough to ride a bike on at low tide. The ocean is nice, the campground has some sites on... More

My wife snd I met our photographer here while on our babymoon in Hilton Head (about an hour drive). This place was like Jurasic Park! Between the big, tropical treesto thr wildlife, it offers it all! The driftwood beach (parking lot d) was so cool! I've never seen anything like it! The historic lighthouse was awesome too snd you can't... More

We stayed (Aug. 14-17) at camp site #54 & #73 both were excellent locations. Site #54 is probably the closed site in the park to the beach. Just walk straight out the site and within 100-150 yards you are in the water. Site #73 was just a little farther from the beach. Water and electric was provided at the sites... More

I love camping here. It is amazing all the way around. The racoon's, the friendly deer, to the fishing and sea shell hunting. If you don't like outdoors or mosquitoes this is not your place. But if you love camping and all the little things that come along, then this is your place. It's amazing! You will not be disappointed.

We are now hooked on going to Hunting Island. The campground spot #29 we had was great. All shaded and easy access to the beach. Kids have absolutely no time to get bored! Plenty to do. We kayaked the lagoon, fished multiple times form the shore.

This is a BEAUTIFUL place and beaches. The lighthouse is NOT for those who cannot climb stairs and get light winded.Once you get to the top,it is well worth the view. Everyone will love the BEAUTIFUL beaches.

We had site 161 and it was very suitable for our 18' Aliner camper and a 10 x 10 canopy. The site was, high and dry, fairly level and easy to back in to. Just a stones throw away was one of the several restrooms on the property. I was disappointed in the condition of the restroom as there were... More

Unfortunately we were there the day after a tropical storm dropped several inches of rain on the park. Several sites were under water. Because of a weather cancellation we got to stay in site # 45 and it was great. Not 50 yards from the ocean under live oak and palm trees. We learned from other campers that the choice... More

We bought a older travel trailer, and refurbished it. I didn't want to go to far from home because of the repairs we had done. You could call it a test run. Well this test run took us to one of the most beautiful camp grounds we have ever seen. All natural beach with camping spots at the beaches edge. The... More

We visited this area after my graduation. I absolutely loved this beach area with the lighthouse and relaxing, quiet beach. It is a must see when visiting Beaufort! Such a hidden jewel! I will definitely plan to spend more time here in the future.
