Excellent staff with natural smile on their face, just for doing their job.For my point of view this is priceless. It is very important to start your day with politeness and smile! Thank you for my dreamful stay!
This is a 5 star hotel in Thessaloniki, though it is not located close to the centre nor the tourist attractions of the city. It is a comfortable hotel, which is very clean and well maintained. It is well known for its very large pool. Though this is both an attraction and a negative for guests. Non-guests can, for a daily fee, book sun loungers for yhe day by the pool. It is not cheap, but it is popular, and it restricts the availability of aun loungers for hotel guests, so you will need your spots early. This also makes the pool very busy during weekends. The hotel is averagely priced for its star rating, but the prices of food and snacks onsite are high. There is no 'convenience' shop close by. The rooms do no provide any coffee making facilities, and only 2 small bottles of water are provided complimentary.…
Hotel under all the uncomfortable bed review Every morning I got up with pain, terrible room service and worst of all I sent laundry to the hotel service and they gave me back half of the things and I went down to talk to them they treated me horribly like I was an idiot. I ask you do not come to this hotel if you want to enjoy Thessaloniki and the special stay with clothes…. Other than the big pool not worth one euro!
Very nice hotel, personnel eager to help. Spacious rooms, modern with nice design. The restaurants in the hotel were a nice surprise, especially The Dome which I strongly recommend for its grill dishes. Had a very nice business visit and wiĺl most certainly stay there again next time I have business in the area. 4 out of 5 because I have decided to give 5 in very special situations.
We spent a long weekend at Nikopolis. The staff are amazing, the food is incredibly good and the location is great if you want a quieter experience outside of the city. You can walk to the shopping mall and to a couple of nice little cafes by the water, or you can take a taxi to old town for approx 7-10 euros or to the centre of town for approx 13 euros. For us, what made our stay was Odysseas who was the chap at the bar. He literally went out of his way to make us feel welcome! He should be commended on how fantastic he was in terms of service (and on his cocktail making!). The other staff were also all incredibly friendly and the service is top notch. We were upgraded to a bigger room and were also given a late checkout as our flight was in the evening. The outdoor pool was closed but the indoor pool is very nice and they have a great change room area and gym. We did have a couple of glitches in that our room did not have air conditioning (which was disappointing as we were a bit hot at night) but overall we had a great time. We had a lovely buffet breakfast every day and we also ate at The Dome, ordered food via room service and ate at the bar. We couldn't fault any of our meals - the food is of a very high standard and there is a great selection. I think the hotel could use a bit of a re-vamp (as it is looking a bit tired) but the beds were comfortable, the food was great and the service was brill so we we were happy!…
If you're looking for a relaxing holiday in the city but away from the hustle and bustle of it, then this is the right property to choose. Friendly and helpful staff, healthy international breakfast served, good room service, and they have the nicest pool. Gym is also well equipped and cleaned daily. Although city centre is 15 minutes away, one can easily use Uber to visit places of interest. The Dome restaurant found in the hotel itself also serves good food at reasonable prices. Looking forward to our next visit.
I paid over a thousand euro for a gym and massage package at this resort, to use when I'm in Greece. The hotel closed the gym due to Corona restrictions. When Greece reopened a year later they said, sorry, your membership is expired. No refund, no extension of the 8 months i lost nothing. They used to be a kempinski, but the rooms and property have fallen into a poor state of repair and maintenance since then.
Used to be brilliant when they opened under the KEMPINSKI flag (and supervision). It was a great many years ago and I was among their first happy customers. I kept coming back every year to use the place as a two day introduction and epilogue of my summer holidays in the nearby Halkidiki. Unfortunately the inexorable passing of time (and COVID?) seems to have been taking a nasty toll on them year after year. Staff is now good enough (while they used to be all as brilliant, polite, efficient and cordial as the surviving STELIOS still is in the morning restaurant). First of August today... summer holidays period in full swing BUT their fabulous breakfast space remains unavailable. Crowds of hungry for breakfast clients squeezed in the cramped hall of their gastronomical restaurant with no placement service for the numbered tables before they are pushed to the long Soviet era line for the promised but inaccessible plates. Desperate waiters running up and down unable to cope with the pressure add to an ambiance contradictory to any sens of a 5 star hotel. There is worse: places around the swimming are said to be reserved as from 10h30 BUT, I am said, everything was booked from the days before. The bathroom's sagging doors deprive you from any hope for WC privacy. Air conditioning, contrary to what is happening in the downtown Thessaloniki 5star hotels, is unavailable for the lobby and the bar as well as in the hardly functioning sauna like restaurant (for the former at least in breakfast) time. Not to mention that it took me 5minutes to rent a car myself after waiting for hours for the reception to get me one and being told by them there wasn't any in the area. There is hope and the praiseworthy STELIOS still there...and as we all know...hope disappears last.…
Oysseas did an amazing customized cocktail just for me for my birthday. 4 questions asked and you get your very own cocktail. Go ahead and name your cocktail! The taste was splendid!! Oysseas was very warm and friendly. Highly recommended!!
the room hasn't been cleaned after first night, even it was a stay for 3 days. Even at pandamic times, this should have been done absolutely. Selection at breakfast was quite small because of pandamic time.
