    This place is special!
My boyfriend and I spent 3 wonderful nights here and can't say enough about it! Even in the middle of a pandemic the Weekapaug Inn delivered big time. Our room was gorgeous, we had a fantastic time at the beautiful pool and beach, and we loved kayaking and paddle boarding every day. Everyone there is so attentive - Clevious took great care of us at dinner and Mehmet and Nate helped my boyfriend propose to me! We are so grateful that the Weekapaug Inn made our stay so special, and we can't wait to return. One thing we really loved is that the inn encourages you to arrive before checkin and stay after check out so that you can really take full advantage of their amenities. We arrived early and our room happened to be ready, but on our last day we definitely utilized this perk and spent the afternoon at the beach after checkout. The bathhouse at the beach even has (attractive and sparkling clean!) showers you can use. The boathouse was probably my favorite part of the inn. You just walk right up and can borrow kayaks or paddle boards or whatever you want. Everything we wanted was always available and we never had to wait. The pool is gorgeous. It's warm, has a great view, and the service there is attentive. The pool staff makes sure you have towels, and you can order just drinks or a whole lunch there. There was ample seating every single day. The gym at the pool has a great selection of equipment and an entire wall of doors that open up which made us feel comfortable using it given the covid situation. Staff meticulously cleaned and disinfected the lounge chairs and gym equipment after use. Another great perk is being able to visit the Ocean House as well. We went to the spa there for massages and also ate at one of the restaurants. We had hoped to also play some croquet there but unfortunately we ran out of time! One thing to note is that the pool and hot tub close at 7. The pool staff generously let us push that a bit, but we wish it had been open later. We also wish there had been more lobster available at the lobster boil - we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it, but we were there for the lobster and wish we could have had more than 1! Overall, though, we really loved the dining experience! All in all, this place is a gem. The staff is a highlight and they work efficiently to anticipate your needs. We are eager to get back there!
Dear Audrey, First, a warm note of congratulations on your engagement from all of us. We are thrilled that Weekapaug Inn holds a special place in your heart, and you’ll remember this vacation and your proposal fondly. We are glad that you find the property and the people special – and you enjoyed the property’s many amenities, especially the watersports. We will share your kind words with our team and look forward to the pleasure of serving you again, so you can enjoy additional activities like croquet. Until then, warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Corinne Finn-Heyl, General Manager

    Lovely, safe and beautiful
We visited middle of July with an elderly parent and were very concerned in advance with Covid precautions. We were extremely impressed with precautions put in place and, perhaps more importantly, with the ways staff members adhered to them. Everyone in the building -- staff and guests - wore masks. Staff respected social distancing. We were able to eat delicious dinners overlooking the water at picnic tables. At the pool chassis are placed more than 6 feet apart and each time a guest got up to leave an attendant sprayed the chair with disinfectant. Our rooms were extremely clean. Any request we made at the front desk was responded to with speed and thoughtfulness. We especially loved a boat tour with naturalist Mark who was highly knowledgeable and interesting. Katie at the front desk especially accommodating. Henry too. I would highly recommend the Inn at all times, but especially appreciated its care and precaution during Covid.
Dear Julia, Thank you for your recommendation and selecting Weekapaug Inn for your treasured getaway with your family. We appreciate your kind words about your stay, including our safety protocols and thoughtful service. We’ll share your positive comments with our team, including Mark, Katie, Henry and our other colleagues. We hope we will have the pleasure of seeing you at Weekapaug Inn again. Until then, we hope you stay well. Warm regards, Daniel Hostettler, President and Group Managing Director Corinne Finn-Heyl, General Manager

Breast milk, bookmarks, and heaven on earth :)
Our 2nd time staying at this magical place. The Weekapaug is amazing. It's a beautiful, relaxing location with spotless rooms and lovely amenities. The staff is the best. I was keeping breast milk cold in an ice bucket in the room. Without asking (or thinking to ask) a fridge was brought to the room and the milk was kept safe. Little things throughout the weekend just made it such a restful time. A bookmark left on the book I was reading, a little welcome gift for our 6 month old, friendly greetings from all. It is such a wonderful getaway particularly in the off season. Thank you for such a special family weekend with our new baby.
Dear Claudia, We were touched by your review and kind words about our staff. It was our pleasure to assist and serve you, and we’re delighted you had a restful stay. Congratulations on your new family member, and we hope Weekapaug Inn can be part of your family traditions in the years to come. Thank you and take care. I do not recommend staying here, especially if you are travelling with a pet. While they advertise that they are one of the top pet friendly hotels in New England I would beg to differ. My husband and I have stayed at this property a couple of times before and while the grounds are lovely, the staff has always left something to be desired for the true "luxury" experience. Before booking my husband called the hotel to confirm all of the pet policy details as the website info wasn't clear and we now know the true pet policy is buried in links within links. We were told that our dog was not allowed on the beach due to town rules but would be allowed on the lawn and pool area...great we decided to book! We checked in just before noon and were told our room was not ready but we could enjoy the amenities so we decided to lay by the pool which was nearly empty aside from the kids doing cannonballs in the pool. As soon as we entered the pool area we were approached by a server who did not ask our guest info, offer a towel, menu or anything else but instead asked if our dog was a service dog. When we said no we were told we would need to leave. I reiterated what we were told and a few moments later a manager came out letting us know our dog was not welcome in the pool area....so because our room wasn't ready our only option was to sit on the lawn....... I decided to check out right then and there. I understand if policy is policy however how the situation is handled could have been improved dramatically. When you are paying nearly $1,500 a night and then an additional $200 to have your dog with you the approach is simply not acceptable and the lack of communication on their team's part is 100% at fault. Our dog was sitting quietly, disturbing no guests and making no noise so this could have been addressed at a later time. Additionally there is no kitchen in the pool area so I struggle to understand how health code could be a part of this. The way to handle it should have been to approach us if there was a problem and or mention it at check in. Outside of this experience it was clear that they had gone down hill. In front and next to the pool area there was a crew taking down an event from the night before- making noise and speaking loudly with one another when this is a relaxation area of the resort. The pool/gym bathroom was completely filthy with garbage on the floor and there were kids being extremely loud as well as fresh bird poop on several of the lounge chairs. It seems there were more pressing matters the staff could have been dealing with rather than being concerned over our dog. Lastly, there was very minimal parking and we were forced to park in a staff area. Never once did the valet approach us or offer to help with our car/bags. I do not recommend staying here.

Dear akp003. Thank you for posting your experience at the Weekapaug Inn. Our pet policy is posted in different areas on our website, and we do apologize if the policy was unclear to you. Our General Manager at the Inn did apologize for the misunderstanding about the policy and permitted your dog on the pool deck until your room was ready. Although it was our belief that your husband was fine with this, we apologize that you were not. Due to your misunderstanding about the policy and you being upset, we did not charge for your stay and waived our cancellation penalty as a courtesy. Additionally, we do apologize that there were kids were bothering you during your time at the pool; the Weekapaug Inn does pride itself on being family friendly. We appreciate your feedback regarding the cleanliness of the outdoor areas and will be sure to investigate, although we do want to mention that all cushions are inspected each morning and throughout the day. If you would like to discuss your stay further, we kindly ask that you email us at communications@oceanhouseri.com with Trip Advisor as the subject line. Warmest Regards, Dant Hirsch President and Managing Director

We had a wonderful time at the Weekapaug Inn. The grounds, staff, service, food and accommodations were all top notch. Even our dog Violet loved the special treatment everyone gets while staying here. The serene, low key atmosphere was super relaxing. This is a real gem! The hotel manager Dave is outstanding. We can’t wait to go back!

Relais & Châteaux does it again! Another amazingly beautiful resort, which is the sister property to their Oceanhouse. The property is nicely decorated with great water views. We stayed at one of the Fenway suites. The room was large, had a large deck/terrace, and unlimited minibar! This resort has great amenities, such as access to Oceanhouse beach, daily planned activities, great service, and choice of restaurants (fine and casual). Overall, we would love to come back!

My girlfriend and I live and work in NYC and needed to get away for some relaxation. An easy 2h drive from the city and will worth it. From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff (whether in the restaurant or on the grounds) was absolutely phenomenal. The level of genuine hospitality and attention to detail made it very difficult to leave. Additionally, my partner and I had made reservations at different restaurants around Westerly/Watch Hill prior to our trip. Once we ate in the Inn's restaurant our first night there, we were hooked; we ate there twice a day for the duration of our trip. The concierge also helped us arrange couples massages at the Ocean House (which I highly recommend). All in all, I could not have asked for a better getaway. I plan on returning every year- Weekapaug is the caliber of a destination, target l rather than just a place to stay and well with the money. Thank you!

Me and my partner (young millennial couple) recently stayed at the Weekapaug for a couple days in May and let me tell you with no exaggeration, it was life changing. We were looking for a nice, relaxing, luxurious vacation, and from the moment we arrived -they delivered. The location? As beautiful as you can imagine, right on the water. The Inn? Luxurious and cozy all in one. The rooms are spacious and all unique (the tub in the bathroom alone had me hooked on this place). All the employees have this amazing and calming vibe about them. The Restaurant at the Inn was some of the best fine dining we have had in a long time and their waiters are pros. We booked a massage at the nearby Ocean House which was fantastic! but what really struck us was how seamless you can book and pay between the hotels. One particular highlight at the Inn - me and my partner were enjoying the sunset in their beautiful lawn overlooking the pond and an employee came out, got a nice warm fire going for us and gave us a smores kit! Talk about excellent! See you next year Weekapaug!

I love this place. I’ve stay at many hotels and rarely do I find the experience as delightful as the Weekapaug. I’ve now stayed twice: once for work and once with my family. The work trip I took was in April and (as a result of how wonderful my experience was), I booked a weekend away with my husband and daughter in May. The staff I met in April remembered me when we returned in May, which was surprising and kind of them. As cliched as it sounds, the Inn really does embody understated luxury. From the granola uk the room to the soap that smells amazing to the bowl of fresh fruit to the wellies available to use in rainy weather to the comfortable and cozy common areas and the s’mores packets available for roasting near the fire pits, every detail is thoughtful and intended to delight. The staff are kind, attentive, and go above and beyond to help guests. We had dinner on site with our daughter, who is 7. Before the food came, one of the staff could tell our kiddo seemed restless. He came over with an activity book about the fairy houses on site and told her a story about one of the fairies. Delightful! The rooms are cozy and well appointed. I’ve stayed on a single room and a suite and both were wonderful. The beds are especially cozy. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and it’s beautiful (even on a rainy day, as was the case this past weekend). We are hoping to come back in the fall—-and can’t wait!
