Property's Favorite Review
Margin Street Inn is the best of the best! We've taken five mother-daughter trips to Westerly and have stayed at this B&B every time. The inn is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and bright. The location is perfect, a short drive from downtown Westerly, Watch Hill, and the local beaches. The breakfast is outstanding, as are the happy hour drinks and snacks -- not to mention the homemade cookies that often appear in the afternoons! Sarah and Chris are the perfect hosts, so kind and generous, with a wealth of knowledge about the local area. Margin Street truly feels like our home away from home and we can't wait to return for our next visit!

Thank you Barrie and Abbey! We love when we see that you have made a reservation to come visit again and getting a chance to catch up with you. As we always says....it's our fabulous guests (friends at this point) that make being an innkeeper so much fun. We truly appreciate your kind words and your taking the time to write a wonderful review. Thank you! Sarah and Chris

This is literally a billionaire's vision of what a B&B should be ( the primary owner of the Ocean House also owns this). First impressions are how immaculately clean this beautiful inn is. The attention to detail is unparalleled. The classic architecture combined with the finest of fabrics and color coordination makes for an impeccable yesteryear yet modern decor. Light showers into the inn with the end result of a New England upscale version of an indoor zen garden. Countless 5-star reviews are testimony that the Margin Street Inn is in this reviewer's mind the more affordable, peaceful yet equally luxurious destination than its grand dame cousin in Watch Hill.
Sarah the Innkeeper is down to earth and a long time local who seems to know everybody in both Westerly and the village of Watch Hill. She has wonderful insights and stories to share, her breakfast and treats are delicious. As we left she was scrubbing the outside porch floor with water and bleach. We look forward to returning to the off-season later this year.

If I traveled the globe I would be hard pressed to find a nicer place to stay than the Margin Street Inn. The riverside parklike setting is peaceful, beautiful, and shaded by hundred-plus-year-old trees including the most magnificent copper beech I have ever seen. The restored large main house has a simple cottage-style elegance, with open wandering common rooms, comfortable furnishings, and a grand Victorian staircase. The immaculate bedrooms on the second and third floors have everything you need (and nothing you don't need) for a stay that is so comfortable, you might wish (as I did) that you could just move in for a while. I am not a good traveler anymore, and no matter how nice the accommodations are, I tend to start missing the familiarity and convenience of home soon after arriving anywhere else. Not so with the Margin Street Inn. There is a calming sense of timelessness about it. Moreover, the innkeepers were kind, wonderful hosts and Sara's carefully prepared home-cooked breakfasts were a relaxed and delicious way to start each day. The inn's location is just a few blocks outside downtown Westerly, and only minutes to everything from Mystic to Weekapaug. I sure hope I can plan another trip there soon.

The Margin Street Inn is a beautifully restored and maintained bed and breakfast conveniently located between Westerly and Watch Hill, RI.
The beauty of the property is only rivaled by the gracious hospitality of the hosts, Sarah and Chris Cooper, who are always available to make your stay a most relaxing experience. Their attention to detail combined with beautifully appointed guest rooms makes it easy to unwind and decompress. The delicious and abundant complimentary breakfast showcases Sarah’s extraordinary culinary skills and provides guests with an opportunity to socialize and plan the days activities. In the early evening, complimentary refreshments (wine, beer, soft drinks, charcuterie) are displayed and enjoyed in the wonderful sunroom. You may also stroll around the beautifully maintained grounds or watch the sunset, sitting in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the Pawcatuck River.
Our most recent trip was our 5th visit to the Margin Street Inn, it was wonderful! We plan to be back again very soon!

Wonderful stay for three nights. Sarah and Chris are lovely Hosts – very attentive to the guests’ needs and have great eye for detail. The Inn is very conveniently located, impeccably maintained, very clean and exceeding expectations in every aspect. The building itself is evocative of a very nicely kept grand house surrounded by a park-like grounds. During our stay it was not only our overnight accommodation but place for morning/evening walks. We stayed in Green Room, which was very comfortable with nice views and great light. We love the area and will be coming back!

Loved the Margin Street Inn. Our gorgeous suite room 2 was spacious and cozy at the same time.
This restored house is a wallpaper lover's dream.
Sarah & Chris are wonderful hosts, serving a delicious homemade buffet breakfast every morning and a nice happy hour at 5 pm with wine and cheese.
5 mile drive to the beaches in Watch Hill. A great place for an anniversary weekend. Discreet and romantic.
I can't say enough lovely things about this inn, can't wait to return.

My husband and I stayed for 2 days/nights at the Margin Street Inn. We had a wonderful time. Owners Sarah and Chris Cooper looked after us really well: delicious breakfasts in the morning and drinks in the evening, and great recommendations on where to eat and shop. The Inn is absolutely beautiful and very close to lovely Watch Hill. We can't wait to go back.

The Margin Street Inn is a unique property that feels like you're staying at an old friend's beautiful RI home. Chris and Sarah are so welcoming and talented at creating an atmosphere that is both relaxed yet sophisticated. The rooms and the entire house are beautifully decorated, and the food is delicious. If I had to pick one word to describe the property, it would be CHARM. Book it!!!

A hidden gem! We had a very lovely stay for our 1 year anniversary. The grounds and the 2 historic homes that make up the inn were very picturesque and very beautifully restored to the history of the property. The main house where we had a wonderful home made breakfast every morning, felt a little more formal then the "Beech House" where we stayed. We loved that there was ample space to relax, explore or read a book, and because the Inn only has 10 guest rooms we rarely bumped into any other guests. The location was perfect for exploring Westerly, only about 1/2 mile walk to the downtown area and a quick drive to Watch Hill. This area of Rhode Island is our new favorite place to visit. We will definitely be heading back to the area and feel like Margin Street Inn with Chris and Sarah as hosts will be our go to spot to stay.
