The rooms are very spacious and welcoming. The jacuzzi tub was huge and the king sized bed was the kind you sink into for a great night's sleep. The inn is clearly a labor of love for the inn keeper, William, who created it from a barn on his property. He greeted us in the morning with an Irish brogue... More

We have been going to Newport for years and only found the Inn because we were having difficulty finding rooms in Newport for our wedding party. We made reservations at the Shamrock for some of our wedding party and took all six rooms. It will now be our go to place when we visit Newport. We had a great wedding... More

This inn came highly recommended, but turned out to be a huge disappointment--especially so since it was more than I wanted to pay, and I made the reservations four months in advance since I was attending a friend's wedding. I could have found something less expensive, but took it because of the recommendation. I arrived in a rush because I... More

Comfortable charming rooms, a welcoming innkeeper, and a huge delicious breakfast every morning. All within a short drive of Newport, but away from the hustle and bustle. If you want peace and quiet, while enjoying all that Newport and the surrounding areas have to offer, this is the perfect place for you.

Stayed 2 nights for our anniversary. Arrived a little late but had a personalized welcome letter with keys waiting as we walked in. On our way into town for dinner, William and his wife were outside and provided several suggestions of places to try based on what we were in the mood for. Stayed in the Spenser-Dugan Quarters, was even... More

We have stayed in B&B's in U.S. and Europe and find management here was not up to par. Reservations were a disaster resulting in people being bumped out. Breakfasts were basically fruit, pieces of muffins and scrambled eggs/bacon. See other reviews about breakfast delays--if you are on a schedule communicate ahead with the kitchen. Spiderwebs evident inside and outside under... More

The agent booking reservations here is both incompetent and rude. Two important qualities that you should not have to deal with when booking rooms for a family get together. Try the Paquachuck Inn (Westport) they are so much nicer and the rates more reasonable.

My husband and I just returned from our annual visit to Shamrock Farm Inn and each visit is so very special!! We always look forward to our time there and it's like we are visiting old friends! William is such a gracious host and makes scrumptious meals! We have stayed in three different rooms and all have been extremely nice... More

My fiancé and I stayed at the Shamrock Farm Inn for the second time a couple weeks ago. I could not have enough good things to say about the inn, the owner, the location, and the breakfast! William is a gracious host and an excellent cook. Himself and Tracy are quick to respond to and questions; as I'm sure they'd... More

We had a wonderful stay! Charming Innkeeper, made us feel special, great service, best breakfast...homemade muffins! Beautiful setting, pastoral & water views. Irish music filled the air. Gardens still in bloom. We will return.
