We love the Anchor and have returned 3 years in a row. The rooms are plain but outfitted with fridges, clean comfy beds, new AC units, and good TVs. Aside from free coffee and donuts in the morning, there are no other amenities except for your own little porch where you can take in ocean views, fresh air, and peace.... More

A friendly family run business. Rooms are simple & clean. All have tiny porches to sit and read or relax on. Parking is easy, the beach is across the street. No restaurants or shops in an easy walk, but plenty in a 5 minute drive. The only thing that needs improving here is the plainness of the rooms - they... More

Great place to stay to walk to the beach. As others have written, the motel is run by a friendly family who keep it spotless. I appreciated having a fridge with a mini freezer. The beds were really comfortable. The tiny porch is nice to sit on any time of the day with a view of the ocean. This is... More

The best thing about the motel is its location: directly across Ocean Road from the beach. When Ocean Rd isn't mobbed with traffic, you can step out the door, and hear and smell the ocean. But it's a motel, and a bit quaint. It's a little damp. The layout of the room, especially the bathroom, is quirky. It can be... More

We stayed last summer for several days and are already booked again this year (this from a family that usually likes a new place to explore). You can walk to the beach, which meant we could go back to the room for lunch and get a break from the sun without leaving the beach for the day. I could walk... More

I stayed here with my family some years ago. It's nothing fancy, but it's a nice, clean family-friendly place to stay. Conveniently located near the beach. I plan to stay again if they have a room for us!

My husband found out about this motel by accident while looking to book a room at another hotel. The great reviews about the 'Anchor Motel' from tripadvisor.com got his attention and he was able to book a room at their recently renovated Bed & Breakfast. He was lucky to have found vacancy at such short notice because someone had cancelled.... More

The Anchor hotel is the perfect place to stay, located across from the beach. It is clean and the people that run the Hotel are very nice. Each day your room is cleaned and spotless. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are soft. Prices are reasonable. I will definitely chose the Anchor hotel again

Spent a wonderful time in Narragansett last week and stayed at the Anchor Motel. It was our first time there and we are going back again in July. The rooms are small but so very very clean. The property is well maintained and everyone was so pleasant. You just about trip into the ocean when you walk out the door... More

As previous reviews have said, the rooms are pretty simple but they're clean. In my opinion, you shouldn't need anything too fancy when you're steps away from a beautiful beach because you should spend the majority of your time there, not your room. Don't know about the other hotels in Narragansett but I can see how this is the top-rated.
