The best thing going for this motel is its location - just across the street from Scarborough Beach. It's otherwise a typical roadside motel whose best days are way behind it. We were put in the B&B house behind the main building, which was made up of several separate rooms with a common living space. The furnishings were all dated,... More

The Anchor Motel is a very pleasant, peaceful place to stay. The room was very clean and had updated furniture, small appliances and TV. The proximity to the ocean is one of its’ key advantages. This was very convenient. The sound of the surf at night also provided a pleasant background for a relaxing sleep on the very comfortable bedding... More

Thank you for your amazing review! We love to hear how much everyone likes their stays with us! I'm glad you enjoyed our furniture updates as we will be continuing to add more over the winter. We are thinking that some new white bureaus will brighten up the rooms a bit. Thanks again for the five star review and we... More

The Anchor gives every beach lover everything they need: a clean, comfortable, fairly priced place to stay with a view of the open ocean and the ocean itself just a hop across the street. This was our second stay at The Anchor and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Understand that this is not about luxury, fancy toiletries, or Italian linens.... More

The Anchor Motel is truly a nice clean family run business by friendly people. I highly recommend this motel to visitors to the area. The price is fair for the area and worth the cost. Rhode Island is truly the Ocean State, the beaches are beautiful and the fishing is great! Fresh seafood available daily direct from the Ocean to... More

Just love it here! Christine and family (owners/front desk) are so personable and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the fridge is a plus. Love sitting on the porch in the morning having coffee. Of course you can't beat being just steps away from the beach! We've been coming here for the past 5 years.... A summer wouldn't be... More

My 22year old daughter and I spent the week of 8/31/2915 at the Anchor for the second time. We are used to staying at fine boutique hotels but I saw the reviews of the Anchor I jumped on it. We stayed in room 14.which indeed was perfect. With the curtains drawn we saw the ocean perfectly and at night heard... More

We needed to check in early for a wedding and our room was in fine order when we arrived. #14 was very clean and attractively furnished with a pretty Oceanside color scheme and new, comfy beds. It couldn't have been fresher or nicer. Great shower with plenty of hot water and good pressure. The front desk (Christine) is charming and... More

Great little motel. The location is fabulous. We walked right across the street to the beach. Our room was a king bed room. Make no mistake, the room was tiny, but who cares? We just wanted to sleep, not hang out in the room all day! It was extremely clean and exactly what we expected. We had a little balcony... More

This is our first stay in Narragansett, RI and the Anchor Motel was chosen because of its location and positive online reviews. The location certainly did not disappoint as it is right across from a beautiful beach. The motel is a very small, family owned business and it is obvious that the owners take pride in their motel. The property... More

We stayed in room 14, which faces the beach, for 3 nights in early August, during the week.. The room was great for us, very clean and bright. And the hotel is right across the street from a nice beach. The owners were very nice, and accommodating. Luckily, the weather was great, (except for a quick-passing storm one morning). There...
