We were moving to Newport this summer and needed temporary accommodations while we waited for our permanent home to be ready. From the time I called and reserved our cottage with Aggie, I knew we would be more than satisfied with our stay at the East Island Reserve hotel. Aggie's friendliness, attention to detail and desire to provide all that we needed was incomparable. In fact, the entire staff was super accommodating, professional and attentive. I loved having a pool on premises and the Newport Winery next door. We loved how dog friendly the place is - our two dogs were also extremely happy with their stay, especially because they had about 5 miles of trails to explore on long walks every morning. I also want to mention the AMAZING cleaning stuff who made sure the place was spotless when we arrived. This is truly a 6 out of 5 stars place! Thank you, everyone! We hope to return :)

A wonderful place to stay when you visit Newport or Jamestown.
We stayed in a single room in the Lodge. Others in our party stayed in either a suite or a cottage.

The room was bright, clean and fresh. Due to the pandemic we bring our own pillows, linens and towels. The linens and towels which were provided were clean and abundant. Every room has a private entrance from the outside there was no worry about having to social distance in lobby or common areas.

The only real drawback is the lack, or non-existence of draw space. We had to live out of the suitcases. When I asked about an additional luggage stand so that we would not have to place the second suitcase on the floor there were none. 2. The floors are bare and they get dirty quickly. Bring a simple pair of slippers or taking off your shoes. It did not impact the quality of our stay when entering.

The bathroom and shower well-appointed.

The pool was fresh and clean and we appreciated the limitation of the number of people at any one time, even if it meant juggling our party.

Do try the restaurant at the winery next door. You can walk there and the food was great, even with 6 year olds!

We were extremely pleased with our experience and will definitely come back next time we visit the area.

Stayed in one of the pet-friendly cottages; so nice to have a separate unit while traveling with a pet. The cottage had everything we could have needed; we were even able to do a load of laundry! The layout of both the cottage and the property were great. The bed was comfortable and we felt spoiled with a heated bathroom floor in the full bath. The location is convenient as long as you don’t mind driving a few miles to the attractions; there is a vineyard/brewery next door which was great to be able to walk to, but otherwise it’s a few miles to get to the beaches, Newport, etc. I would definitely stay at East Island Reserve Hotel on my next trip to the Newport area.

My young daughter and I stayed for one night while attending Newport for an Irish Dance competition. I cannot say enough good about this place. It is obvious that the staff are extremely attentive and the comfort of their guests is paramount. On a very cold day, we were greeted with a warm and cozy room. It was delightful to open the door and find a tastefully decorated room which was immaculate. We had everything we needed with the mini fridge, coffee maker, sink, dishes, etc.., the bose speaker and sound machine were nice extra touches! We loved the bathroom with a beautiful, clean, walk in shower and great bath products. I would go back in a heartbeat. Don't miss out on this gem, you won't be disappointed:)

This is absolutely the best spot in the greater Newport area to stay. Don't waste your time with trying to stay in town. Its crowded and highly priced. These accommodations are actual individual homes for each guest. They are clean, private and beautiful inside. They have everything you'll need for your stay, full kitchen and washer and dryer in each unit. You can request housekeeping service daily for an extra fee. I will definitely take advantage of this next time. The location is a 7-10 minute drive into downtown Newport and even shorter drive to First, Second and Third beach. Next year I will not waste my time looking anywhere else. I've found my secret gem in Newport.

It was unique but a very easy process to check in and out without seeing anyone The property was well maintained. Our room wash modern clean, and everything about the room was comfortable. We stayed in a lodge room for one night in December and got a great deal.

We picked East Island Reserve Hotel for our l Thanksgiving 🦃 getaway. It was a 4 and half hour ride from our location in NJ. The cozy clean cottage fit us (Mr, Mrs and our six year old) perfectly during this Covid mask 😷 time and was only a short drive to all Newport activities. Definitely use the local, very close market for yummy eats and prepared meals! The nautical styled cottage was warm and inviting and had all necessary appliances including washer / dryer for our week stay. The pool area and chairs looked nice but it’s November so sadly we didn’t use. I felt the price was reasonable and I loved the easy no check in / out with sent codes and instructions prior to our arrival. It was our first time to Rhode Island and we will definitely return in the warmer months to use this location. Thank you ❤️ East Island Reserve Hotel!

This place is amazing and super close to Newport. The cottage was tastefully decorated and they spared no expense with the decor. The fully equipped kitchen had top of the line appliances, the washer and dryer were top of the line, the sheets were glorious and my favorite part was the heated floor in the bathroom. The ONLY negative I would give it is that the hot water ran out too quickly. I had to take away a star for that because long, hot showers in hotels are my favorite part of the stay. Otherwise I highly recommend you book this for your next stay.

The studio rooms make the most of the small sink and are perfectly outfitted with a Kuerig, mini fridge, dishes, and anything you could need. The room even came with a sound machine and a Bose speaker! The decorations are tasteful with a welcoming nautical theme and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel staff is extremely accommodating and very friendly! The location offers the quiet-ness of a small town, but a short drive to downtown Newport.

The cottage was extremely clean. I loved how they had all of the proper cooking ware so I was able to make breakfast. Super cozy cottage, definitely recommend it. I loved how you could check your self in/out with a unique pin code you type into the cottage door. I’ll be staying here again.
