We very much like having our own little house to stay in , which feels more private than a hotel, while still having all the nice amenities one would want. I especially like the heated floor in the bathroom as my feet are always cold! Having kids or other people stay downstairs in the living room on the pullout couch may be difficult, as likely the people upstairs and downstairs will be able to hear each other.
I rented this house for December end stay. Non refundable. Had to struggle to get the dates changed due to the covid testing. Better to check all the terms and conditions before booking or else will be tough to get modifications. Its like use or lose. As far as the house, it was renovated and clean. Liked the kitchen facility. The hot water from shower was not that great. The next person in line had to wait until the water gets heated up again. The thermostat was not quite handy. Had to really work hard to figure out to maintain the required temperature. The first floor temperature was always cold compared to 2nd floor.Overrall the stay was good.
My partner and I found this special spot in June of 2020 and we have stayed here several nights since then. It is a fabulous getaway from the hustle and bustle of downtown Newport, yet only a 10 minute drive from all the shops and restaurants. The Newport Winery, which is next door to the hotel, is also fabulous. Every aspect of the rooms are perfect. We can’t wait to come back again!!
My family of 3 stayed here from mid-September to mid-December while I was attending school. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage and it was lovely! It had everything we needed and with COVID still being an issue, it was nice having our own little home without worrying about people coming in or out. Contactless check-in with a code emailed to you, which meant you didn't need a key card. Extremely clean and well-maintained. The quality of the cottage was excellent. It had one full bathroom upstairs and a half bathroom downstairs, with a full size washer and dryer upstairs. The upstairs does not have a door to block out noise from downstairs but we didn't find it to be an issue. Upstairs had a super comfy king size bed and downstairs was a pull-out couch bed. They provide a broom/dustpan and small corded mini vac for cleaning. Kitchen was well equipped with Cuisinart pots/pans and cutlery for four. There was also Bose portable speaker for use. All amenities provided the onset (coffee pods, paper towels, etc) are not replenished if you're staying for long term. The only downside to the cottage is the size of the refrigerator. It is a small under counter fridge w/ a small freezer. We ended up removing the shelves and it still worked well, just needed to be creative with how we stacked things. The only other thing I would change about the set up, is having one extra bar stool but that's because there were three of us. An unexpected nice perk was the upstairs bathroom, which had heated floors. Parking was included and right in front of the cottage. The vineyard is right next door and the Aquidneck Land Trust walking path entrance is right there as well. Easy location to get to everything. Also, we were able to get mail/packages delivered. I booked through Aggie and she is great! All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place for either long term or a weekend getaway!…
My adult children and I rented the guest house for 2 nights, Wed. through Fri, for Thanksgiving. It was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The kitchen was fully supplied. We were comfortable in the living room, watching movies and playing games. The king size beds were cozy and comfortable. My children have asked to go back and we definitely will
