A wonderful place to stay and play. Our resort host Holly Treadway did an awesome job of scheduling a reservation. She was also very efficient and keeping us up-to-date on the snowmaking and whether the weekend would be good for tubing. Rooms or very nice....More
Elle is AWESOME!!! I haven't had such a great haircut in a long time! Great way to pamper yourself! You will never feel rushed while you are there. Thank you for such superior service, Elle. I will be back!
We stayed here as part of a tour group. The kitchen staff were in desperate need of training and breakfast was really NOT a highlight. Was told that they had new chef's but that was no excuse for the very poor breakfast offering.
I arrived 15 mintues before check-in and my room was not ready. Most locations rooms are ready an hour before check in. When I got into my room there were smelly left overs in my fridge, the back of the desk chair was broken off...More

The Harley Davidson factory is about 5 miles north and offers tours. My in-laws are not bikers, but they had a lot of fun. York has a minor league baseball team that plays in the historic downtown (the Articles of Confederation were drafted in York, so there are historical markers and buildings from pre-Revolutionary War).
Gettysburg National Park is 35 miles west. Hershey, PA (35 miles north) has an amusement park and chocolate exhibits. Codorus State Park (25 miles southwest) offers all the classic summer fishing/hiking/boating recreations around a big lake. Several museums (e.g. watches/clocks and railroads) are in and around historic Lancaster town (25 miles east).
And yes, Lancaster county has tourist-friendly Amish and Mennonite sites and shopping (produce, dairy, woodworking, antiques, textiles). But if it's summer, I'd recommend just getting lost on back roads to the east and south of Lancaster town. That's the Pennsylvania Dutch land that is so pretty--highways 23, 340, 772, and anything smaller than those. And watch out for horse-drawn buggies on the roads!
