I had selected my own room as I have a preference but I received an email stating my room selection was not available. When we check in we found out healthcare workers were staying on certain floors. I had no issue with that but I wish they would have communicated that when I selected the hotel so I would be able to make my own choice as to if I wanted to still stay there. The front desk staff member was very friendly. The room itself was subpar. The furniture and the frig were totally dirty. I think they really need to deep clean.

I have stayed here twice. Both times the room was great. Very clean and we got a suite which was perfect for our family. We are always happy with home2. We booked on hotels.com and the front desk accommodated me by transferring that to my Hilton app so I could use the mobile room keys. My only negative comments would concern the breakfast during COVID. Before COVID, the breakfast had great options. Before I continue, I understand that during COVID, you need individually wrapped items and limited selection. However, there is nothing, literally nothing, offered that has meat, eggs, or is low carb in any way. They have fruit, cereal, milk, OJ, nutra grain bars, wrapped muffins, etc. I was so disappointed because they used to have individually wrapped egg omelets, and breakfast sandwiches with meat. Now, if you are carb conscious, there are no options. I really would encourage the brand to bring back the individually wrapped items that people can take back to their room and use their microwave. It would be safe. Also, the all-day coffee station was unavailable, which I understand, but it would’ve been nice if they kept a container of coffee and would allow guests to ask for a cup that the front desk worker could pour for them that would be COVID safe. This is always a good perk of the home2 brand and it was missed. That being said, I know it’s a brand issue and not a York Home2 issue. Everything else was great and I don’t hold this individual hotel responsible for its brand’s decisions.

Your feedback is heard and understood with regards to breakfast options. Last week we brought back the prepackaged sandwiches as our occupancy levels have been increasing. Also options have changed throughout the last 3 months based on what items are in stock and the accessibility of being able to get orders in so thank you for your flexibility as we all transition through this challenging time. We are pleased to be offering freshly brewed coffee each morning during breakfast hours and then each guest room is equipped with a coffee pot in order to enjoy a cup at your leisure 24 hours a day. Many of our guests who would often have taken advantage of that lobby coffee station have been requesting more in room coffee packs so they can brew their own to enjoy any time of day. Please advise during your next stay if we may provide more coffee packs! Thank you for noticing the hard work of our housekeeping team regarding our guests rooms that are cleaned, disinfected and sanitized! And most recently the addition of the Hilton CleanStay Program in partnership with Lysol. Hotels worldwide have started to implement this in the last few weeks and will be totally rolled out by mid-July worldwide. Once again, we are so happy that you have chosen to stay with us and that you shared your feedback so we can better serve our guests. I was visiting my girlfriend and we stayed at Home2 by Hilton York on the 5th floor for 3 nights during the COVID-19 shutdown. We were satisfied with the room overall, and as they abided by the shutdown guidelines, service was great.

Room was clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. One tiny issue was with the blow dryer. It was very old and had no power or heat. A new place should invest in new blow dryer. People were wonderful!

Dissatified with the experience I asked for someone to fix the toilet that never happened the a/c banged and made noise all of the time and the breakfast selection was terrible. Plus a staff member must have been unhappy with her job and stood in the lobby and complained
