This hotel looks beautiful when you walk into the lobby. The staff was very nice at check-in and helpful information was given about the resort. We did not go to any of the bars or restaurants. When we got to our room the toilet was making a horrible sound and not flushing. We let the front desk know and someone was supposed to come fix it and never did. The air conditioning was not blowing cool air or functioning properly. Beds were comfortable, but the room is definitely outdated for the price you are paying to stay overnight. Black mold all along the window. Smelled a little musty. The room was 209 a night. I complained and got back 95 dollars. Better than nothing I guess. I don't recommend staying here.
Went this weekend and had a great time. We booked the Streamside Bridal Suite and really enjoyed the room. Very large room with an oversized hot tub. Nice view of the Laurel Stream from your balcony. Room had a nice with a double shower. Property had many restaurant choices. The grounds of this property are what make it different from anywhere else. This location is right in the woods with a stream running thru it. There was a nice wedding venue behind the property. I would stay here again anytime.
Outdated!!!! I have been coming to the woodlands inn for the past 6 years and well the maintenance on the hotel hasn’t been up to date. A lot of the rooms have a very musty smell to them not to mention the smell of cigarettes. The pillow had cigarette smell on em and the head board had a hand print on it. The River side balconies are so outdated you can see moss growing on them. This hotel beautiful surroundings and atmosphere is ruined by the loud night club connected to the main hotel. The drunks from the nightclub and bar walking back and forth screaming by your room at 2am are a great addition. After 6 years of being a loyal guest, this will be my last year staying at once a beautiful woodlands.
We stayed here by accident last week - my wife thought we were booking somewhere called 'The Woodlot' - but it turned out ok! Although located on a busy divided highway in Wilkes-Barre, if you book a 'Forest View' or 'Stream View' room, it is actually very nice. The rooms themselves are nothing special, typical hotel room and a not very user-friendly bathroom (pedestal sink means no place to put your stuff while you're shaving or brushing teeth) - but our Forest View room on the first floor led out onto a nice walking trail leading to the pool area. Although you could occasionally hear the road, we were far enough back into the woods that it was overly intrusive. We ate at both restaurants - Crescenzo's for lunch, next to the stream, and Shogun for dinner - and both very very good. Due to COVID, there is no breakfast available but we had brought stuff for that meal. The service staff was very friendly and obviously glad to have us there, and their general ambiance of the hotel is very nice.…
Room was CB underwhelming for the price and area. Not bad but very stuffy. First level room with a fantastic view of the parking lot. (sarcasm). However, ours was very clean in comparison to other reviews. The highlight is the onsite restaurants, including a deck that overlooks a stream. Front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful with questions. Won’t be my first choice next time, but would consider staying again, if it was a different room.
