The Wellsboro area is filled with independent accommodations, so, fingers crossed, I did my homework. Didn't want camping, which is prevalent. Didn't want to break the bank. Wanted comfort, cleanliness, and safety. For whatever reason, I couldn't pull up this property's website, so I called. The voice came across as being very legit, honest, military community-friendly. We stayed for several nights and couldn't have been happier. The property harkens back to the 'I Love Lucy" style. This property has a range of sizes and seems to be popular with the "seasoned" (read 1950s, 1960s birthdays) motorcycle crowd. The indoor pull is GREAT! It's not noisy, and management is determined to keep it that way. It's relaxing. Places to sit outside and perhaps even eat a meal there. Amenities fulfill all standard needs. It's a block away from the main drag, so getting around to enjoy the ambience of a town that has Victorian overtones is more than easy.

Hotel's Favorite
This is my second visit to the Canyon Motel in Wellsboro, PA. Like before, I traveled there by Motorcycle. The hotel is top rate, great location and wonderful staff. They always do their best to make you feel at home. The office has lots of info on things to do in Wellsboro and provides many brochures and maps to help with this ideas. They also offer small towels for those who may need to clean up their motorcycles bug splats or other things that may accumulate on your motorcycle on a long trip. Nice touch. Looking forward to my next visit in a few months! Thank you so much for a nice stay.

We just stayed at the Canyon Motel overnight on a quick visit with our daughter and son-in-law. For those who have lots of devices...just bring a plug. We quite enjoyed our little stay and will definitely be back.

Was really disappointed considering all the great reviews I read before booking! It was old with cheap updates, there was a funky smell that was almost overpowering. The walls are so thin you can hear the conversations of your neighbors. We stayed in room 122, which has a window that opens up to... a hallway?! The hallway lights were so bright they lit up the room all night even with the curtains closed. There was a large soft spot in the floor next to the bed, and the bed was extremely old and uncomfortable. The a/c unit was strangely located in the bathroom, so to make it a decent temperature in the room you have to make it extremely cold in the bathroom. They use actual keys instead of key cards, which is unsafe especially for women/children traveling alone. The good: The front desk person was very friendly and the check in/out process was easy. Parking was pretty plentiful, and the location is great. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice.

Sorry for the delay in posting this review. A crashed hard drive, misplaced travel notes and life got in the way. We stayed here August 30 to Sept 2, 2020. Checking in was fast and easy. Staff was very friendly offering numerous suggestions on where to go and what to see. The suite was very large with huge sitting area, full kitchen and bedroom. There enough items in the kitchen so that you could make easy meals with little problem. All the appliances worked well. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure to take a shower with. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet so good sleeping was had by all. Wi Fi service was solid and reliable. All with really good rates. A nice stay with a real value. The only complaint here is that the employee smoking area is right under the stairway to the suite. More often than not we had to walk through a cloud of smoking heading to our from our room. This should be looked into an rectified.
