Wow, what a treat it was to stay with Donna and Rick at Seams Like Home last week! After cycling 62 miles on the GAP trail, we were spent. Rick picked us up at the trail, took extreme care loading our bikes in his trailer, and ferried us back to the BnB. Seams Like Home was a quiet haven of rest for us. The rooms were immaculate and the bathroom spotless. Donna provided an ample and amazing breakfast including a tasty omelette made to order, bacon, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, toast, etc. When we needed to get on the trail early the next day, they ensured we had an early breakfast and took us back to the trail to continue our trip. The service and care at this BnB way exceeded any hotel we could have stayed at in town. We highly recommend it for all GAP Trail travelers!

Very comfortable, very clean. Extremely quiet location a short way out of town and away from the trains and traffic. Great breakfasts! Rick and Donna are great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay while we biked portions of the GAP trail.

My husband and I spent 2 nights in this lovely place last weekend. We were riding a section of the Gap bike trail. The host Rick and Donna are very personable people. We had arranged for a shuttle to take us to Ohiopyle ,and we rode bikes back to Connellsville. We found out later that Rick could have done this for us, and probably a lot cheaper. Seams like Home is a retreat center, and we stayed in the Magnolia Room. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated with homemade quilts, and are cheerfully painted. The king size bed was very comfortable. Rick and Donna prepared the most yummy breakfast every morning. Omelets, waffles fresh baked apples, fruits. I will tell my scrapbooking friends about this Gem of a place, and may be returning to have fun with them playing with our paper, photos and cutters.

Rick and Donna answered my call at 9 PM on a Thursday night as we walked out of another reservation due to feeling unsafe in the building and saved our anniversary trip. Rick gave great directions thru the back roads of the Laurel Highlands, settled us in after we drove thru a torrential rain storm, turned the AC on before we arrived, and made our stay wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better place. The American room was perfect..king bed and large bath. The billiard table was a nice find and a way to relax for an hour on Friday afternoon before dinner. It's a quiet and quaint location that provided a home base to tour Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, and Polymath Park on our tour of Frank Lloyd Wright homes. The breakfast omelet that Rick makes is phenomenal and they accommodated a food intolerance by finding a new recipe for waffles for me. I will not hesitate to stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Seams Like Home for two nights. The name reflects the owners' interest in hosting quilting groups, but it was perfect as a base for our sightseeing in the area. (We went to Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, and Shanksville. All highly recommended). Both Rick and Donna were so welcoming. Our room (the Garden Room) had a king size bed and was very comfortable. It was so clean that I thought it had been renovated recently but that's just how Donna keeps it! Breakfast both days was excellent and Rick has some good recommendations for local restaurants. Unfortunately, the weather was cold and rainy, otherwise I'm sure that we would have enjoyed the patio and pond.
