First I would like to say I’ve been to many campgrounds. They said they had full hookup which they do not. We wanted a wooded spot we had a lot of sun. The playgrounds are not shaded. The golf course no shade. The worst part I picked this one because it said it has tubing. The tubing is 9 miles away. It’s deceptive. One and done.

This wonderful little secret in Upper Bucks County is such an amazing stay. So many campgrounds are all hustle and bustle and they try to cram as many people into often not big enough spaces. Not here at Colonial Woods. Spacious sites for larger campers and ultra clean bathrooms make this little gem a must see. We have stayed here many times and each time the activities and facilities have been great and the staff have been so polite and helpful. Can’t wait to go back in a few weeks.

Longtime loyal guests who rent cabins for many years , rented us two cabins this time and did not tell us there the only two with no AC in bedroom it was hot unbearable we had to leave a night early, tried buying a fan , so upset to be deceived..why not tell me in advance why have only two cabins like that and worst thing was in past they both had AC it makes no sense, I complained when I left early woman seemed shocked there was no AC and apologized , we sent a private Facebook message it was viewed and ignored , no response…we always rent two or more cabins at a time have been there many times and loved it so upset customer service means nothing anymore , we will miss this place …by the way it’s cabins 6&8 no AC in bedroom every other cabin has them .

We spent a long weekend and had a mostly good time. An older lady at the store / office in the morning needs to be left go. She was ignorant and refused to help us with a problem we had. It was only after I refused to be dismissed that she broke down and contacted someone. That person came and helped to resolve our problem and was very helpful and polite. Another time, we went to the office / store to pay for mini golf and the same lady was loudly complaining that she had to go get ice. She was loud and told customers that she refused to help them. I asked another employee if the older lady was an owner and the other employee told me that she wasn't, no one liked her and was allowed to complain to the owners because the mean lady had worked there for a long time. The playground and the mini golf course are in desperate need of repair along with some of the sites. One of the restrooms had plumbing issues and waste came out of one of the toilets in an afternoon and I was told that the restrooms only get cleaned once a day in the morning. The pool / spa / splash park is beautiful, but only has parking for golf carts right at the pool. There is only 6 parking spots at a restroom near the pool and no handicapped access. Overall this could be a great campground but needs a lot of work and has an employee problem. A special thanks to Alexandria and Andrew, 2 workers who went out of their way to help us.

My husband and I are both in the health care field and needed a night away. We had a great quick stay at Colonial Woods. Sites are clean and everyone is friendly and helpful. It felt like home. We can't wait until our next visit!

We came here actually twice in a month for camping. Bathrooms are extremely clean and never once walked in and found it even a little messy. Grounds are very nice all gravel, plenty of trees to cover and keep the sun out during the day. 11 pm is the quiet time and no noise was heard. Everyone was very respectful of the quiet hours. (I’ve been places where they haven’t been so nice ) even other campers were so pleasant. Lakes to fish, pool to swim and a very nicely kept playground. Will be going back. Everyone was just so nice.

I have done my share of camping in a tent and it was fun . Now that I'm older not as much . Although Colonial Woods also offers camp sites for tents and RVs , we decided to rent a cabin for the weekend. It was awesome. A small but sufficient 2 bedroom cabin with a queen bed , bunk beds, and sleeper sofa . 1 full bath and a small kitchenet with fridge and microwave. The cooking had to be done outside on the fully stocked grill with covered picnic table . Plus air conditioning if you need - We didn't - Each camp site has a burning ring where you can build your little camp fire for roasting potatoes or making smores. There is even a small general store on site should you need anything like food to firewood. There is also plenty of activities to keep the youngsters occupied , from fishing to swimming. to hiking . The staff there is friendly knowledgeable and customer oriented . I will be going back for sure.

Stayed here 4 days as I wanted to see New Hope, had a great spot, Very pretty entrance with a waterfall, small covered bridge The bathrooms are spotless. Beautiful pool and hot tub but difficult to find with only ONE sign pointing to pool and lots of very close together seasonals. Really wanted to stay here and looked forward to using the hottub but when we checked in no one bothered to tell us it closes at 7 and we were heading there at 8!!! Need more signs to find the pool.(no chairs there either) Enjoyed our stay in our Class A 37' motorhome.

We enjoyed out trip. It was a good find. The pool was great except there are no lawn and lounge chairs. They had very nice family events such as rootbeer floats and Bingo. The amenities and store were nice. I did not like that we had to pay $2.50 each to play mini golf. The course was in bad need of repair. No other campground that we have stayed at has charged us.
