My wife and I go to a Penn State football game together once a year and often struggle to find a place to stay. I found this place last year and we've now stayed here twice and have nothing but good things to say. Paul (BnB caretaker) was very hospitable and the house was clean. If you're looking for a...

Perfect place to stay when exploring the Pa railroad in this area. This house is truly a piece of this history. Paul is a very welcoming host. The house is elegant and spotlessly clean. And you won't get a better breakfast!

We recently stayed here for our daughter's parent's weekend and had a lovely stay. The house is grand, the room was beautiful and clean, very comfy bed, breakfast yummy, and Paul made us feel comfortable right away. Our daughter ended up staying with us at the last minute and enjoyed an adjoining room. I fully recommend Stony Point B &...

Our group of three retired Army officers and wives has been getting together in a different place each October for the past 9 years. Stony Point hosted us this year and we could not have been happier. The rooms were spacious and immaculate and breakfasts great. Our host, Paul, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Highly...

We needed a place near DelGrossos Park and had always wanted to visit Tyrone so we chose Stony Point. Luckily there was a room available and we were able to arrive early enough to enjoy some of its amenities. The building is tucked away on a hill in the middle of the town, easy in, easy out. Our host Paul...

Stony Point feels like a home away from home. Over the years, we have visited five times on our way to Pittsburgh. Paul, the innkeeper, is the perfect host. He is warm and friendly. His breakfasts are delicious. (The bacon is amazing!) The rooms are beautiful and the house is spotless. Stony Point has an interesting history. Ask Paul to...

My husband and I planned a fall trip to central Pa with our 3yr old and his parents. We knew it was short notice and a Penn State football weekend, ( homecoming none the less), but we had enjoyed a previous stay at Stony Point so much, we hoped to share the experience with our family. Alas, Paul informed us...

Fabulous setting. Beautiful old home with interesting history and how it was built. Corner room with good natural light, private bath, very comfortable bed. Clean and fresh. Wonderful linens! Loved the authentic old fixtures that really worked! Innkeeper, Paul Zottoli, made us feel at home without intruding... such a perfect host! We enjoyed being in the kitchen over coffee, as...

The historical property and Paul, the innkeeper, have the personality to make your stay relaxing and rewarding. We enjoyed the clean facilities, the wonderful food, and the comraderie of Paul and the other guests. We would definitely recommend Stony Point, and return if our travels take us near Tyrone. Dining options are highly limited, most requiring a drive to Altoona...

There are few choices in Tyrone for lodging. The reviews on Trip Advisor helped us make our decision to stay at Stony Point B & B. I was so very pleased with the house and our host Paul. The house is a spectacular specimen of 1920s architecture and many of the fixtures are original. The breakfast was not an ordinary...
